What Students Say

Likes

Great infrastructure and well designed labs
Hostel are air conditioned and also provides single occupancy
Can use central library for late night studies till 11 pm

Dislikes

The class timings are very long like from 9 to 5 everyday that makes me feeled a little bored
Also the attendence system for 75 percent is a little difficult to understand
Exams are taken on very low grades so there very less chances to maintain a good cgpa

Course Curriculum Overview

I choosee this course as it is much more wayed toward the subject specific not like a few other institutes teaching other subjects that has no connection with the vourse they also teaches a foreign language so that student have high job opportunities

Internships Opportunities

Colleage also provides internships during semester breaks by connecting students with differnet organisation but you can also join courses and programs at your own but have to maintain your attendence to give final examanations

Placement Experience

I am new to the campus but as i have listened students can apply from amybe there last second semester for placements and can start doing internships from even the starting of their course but has to maintain their attendence on their own as i listened from my friend a student got placed in Japan's comapny at around 25 lakh per annum package

Fees and Financial Aid

I am paying around 122000 rupees per semester this year and it will increase as mentioned around 3000 per semester every year and there are also scholarshios based on cuet and jee mains and advance scores

Campus Life

You can join clubs from starting of the course and there are also many events organised for differnet clubs you a can also participate in sports event held at inter university level you are also provided with in campus gym and indoor outdoor sports facility

Admission

I was provided with a scholarship on the basis of my jee main score and i was not getting good tier college duaring the counciling sessions so i decided to take admission in this private university my colleage has a criteria of around 60 percent in boards for admission and one can use their competition scores for scholarhship

Faculty

They provide around 1 faculty for around 50 students per subject but for practical subjects its 2 teachers they take surprise tests mid semester test assignments presentation end semester test and objective answer type test to grade students and some marks are given by teache ron the basis of student behavior.

Interview Experience

No they only take an individual interview focusing on the basic knowledge and communication skills of students and asked a few course realted basic question and also that was easy not to take very tension thing

Night Life

You can go inside colleage for like before 8 pm and can roam freely in allowed areas till 11 pm and there is also cafeteria where you can have food and enjoy with your hostler frineds and the college also feels a little asthetic at night

Likes

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment
The library is really nice place to study
Lots of hangout spots in and around campus

Dislikes

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

An honest look at campus

Likes

The university boasts an excellent, massive campus infrastructure with great amenities and highly diverse student crowd provides great cultural exposure
While the engineering batches naturally leans towards more boys (around 1:3 girl to boy ratio)
Availability off dedicated campus mentorship programming and technical club provided a great platform.

Dislikes

The campus administration enforced incredibly strict security and daily restrictions which feel a little overwhelmed
The total no of students in a course like cse is massive. So the competition for the high tier placement is very intense.
If we need any information or some help from the administration they will make it lag and go to that window this window and we will not get the information ww required

Placement Experience:

Students generally become eligible for placement from 7th semester, with numerous major companies like wipro,cognizant and various tech startups visit the campus with various offers. The university sees a high percentage of students getting placed.The package are widely depending on various skill and codes. Furthermore while the highest package looks impressive on paper, the avg package remains modest for the majority of the batch. My personal plans after getting the degree focus on exploring independent entrepreneurial ventures rather than tradition corporate placement.

LPU's REVIEW WITH HONESTY AND CREDIBILITY

Likes

The Scholarship benefit is good when compared to other universities the fee is also not very huge.The Infrastructure of the campus was vast and there arelots of stall to purchase food items etc
There is a big mall through which You can get necessary items .In every hostel you will have departmental stores
The faculty was highly qualified. The Placements opportunities are also good The average was offered was 5-6 LPA.The Lpu newly Launched Education Revolution is very good for students

Dislikes

The mandatory 75% attendance policy for every subject.If you not maintain you will debar from End term examinations which is not all good
The Roads are not that much good .The roads are made of parking tiles instead of Thar
The distance between hostels and main gates are nearly 1.5 -2 km which not at all good .but there e-rickshaw they charge 15 rupees per person to drop from hostel to main gate

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course cirriculum changes every year by rapid changes happening due to AI The University has also launched a new school called School of AI and emerging technologies.from this every year syllabus changesand exams pattern changes .the difficulty of exams is increasing day by day.

Likes

The environment of the college is so nice, helpful staff, AC labs for CS deptt.
Canteen and water facilities and park in both deptts
Skilled professional educators and tutors

Dislikes

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far
Nothing as of now everything was good enough

Placement Experience:

- Limited campus opportunities were available, and most students become eligible from the final year. - The average package was around 2-5 LPA. - after my degree my plan is to improve my employability my strengthening my technical skill in my domain

Big campus and beautiful garden and environment
Aqi was soo good because plants and tree was so much

Mess food was bad but it doesn't taste that bad
If we Complaint about anything college mostly ignore it

From 7th sem students become eligible for campus placements and tata or Infosys companies visited and about 60 to 70 percent students were placed and my plans after getting the degree is to opt for higher studies doing mtech from iit

I like the machines that's why I choose the mechanical branch in engineering line. Noida , Gurgoan , Chandigarh , Bengluru and many other areas for improvements in the course curriculum and teaching methods.

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Amity Mohali, Hit or Miss

Likes

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing
The Library that remains open till 10-11 at night for those who wish to study till late
Great mentors and very helpful teachers who are always willing to help

Dislikes

The hectic schedule and curriculum that the students have to follow.
The lack of certain facilities that would help the students improve thoer personalities
Too much strictness and restrictions with everything that someone wishes to do

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum

Honest review of Amity University Punjab, Mohali as a First Year B.Tech student

I applied to Thapar Institute, Chandigarh University, Chandigarh Group of Colleges, DAVIET. I got accepted in all of them. I also appeared in JEE but failed to secure any computer science seat. I chose this college over others because of the real world problem solving they teach while in others, it is more assignments and theory stuff. except for thapar which is like really better than any of them but it's fees is like very very high so I chose not to go for it. The admission process for my college is pretty simple, first you register on the admission portal, then your form is checked and they contact you if you are eligible which mainly requires 65% in PCM for computer science. Then they conduct an online interview in which they ask you basic questions about the program you chose. and then if you are selected, you get your admission letter which you can accept and pay a part of the fees....Read More
