Likes

Our college has natural environment and it's beautiful, clean air and surroundings.
College has the best curriculum, best staff and best library
I studied there for 3years, I never had any experience similar to ragging or bullying by seniors or other department people

Dislikes

Some rules differ between departments and based on the character of the head of the department
The attendance system was little bit confusing with the college app
Always there's some construction works or maintenance works happening in the campus

Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum was good, mostly depends on the department you choose our department had mostly theoritical way of classes we haven't participated in any kind of activity which supports or study, we did submit a research but that was too basic, not sure about the other dpts

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 6000 per year

Placement Experience

Placements was there but not related to their core mostly Information technology and banking kind of industries came for placements the ratio of the people who got placed in college is very less in our department

Fees and Financial Aid

I joined in aided program, so for tuition it's around 6000-7000?per year. and we had to pay exam fees separately for each semester that was around 1500-2000?. Also we had student welfare club called manavar mandram which acted as intermediater between the management and students for that each year they collected around 300-500each semester and they conducted culturals with that and more. Also we had a compulsory online course submission which is affiliated with swayam nptel courses which costed around 1000-2000? depends on the course

Campus Life

Our college had all kind of clubs, all of them are active music club, dance crew, drama club, nss,ncc etc, but every club had a staff for overseeing the function and activities inorder to keep it in control

Admission

Our college follows strict rules in aided admissions, applicants should have good cutoffs to get a seat or they should join in the management quota which is expensive, Psg is the best college in coimbatore in terms of placements, face value and reputation so I chose to join here

Faculty

Faculty to student ratio was really good, we didn't face any lack of staff for the classes probably around 20:1 The exams were conducted as CA exams and main semester exams, CA exam scores are converted into internal marks and the semester exam question paper and everything is provided by the bharathiyar university

Night Life

Students aren't mostly allowed to roam around in college after 6pm, but outside it was fun so many cafés, malls, so many fun activities around the college it was the best experience for people who stay in nearby hostel or pg

Starting ug life

My collage full of nature covered, birds sound in after 6.00 pm I loved it. And college is like greenish and opposite site there is thindal murugan kovill this is so good
Fancy store and canteen also have in our college. Big sports ground also have in our college, hand ball was so good in our college we also celebrated 50th year celebration of college
Pongal celebration are celebrated highly like columbus and many games are there in pongal celebration in inside our college we are celebrated happily. Food also provided in our college

Dislikes

I didn't like that our staff keep test in lunch hours also . They strictly maintain the class always test , seminars
No western dress wear in our department I didn't like that chudi and pant full covered shall we want to wear in our college
No free hours given . Home work like scholl . I fill I am going to school

Course Curriculum Overview:

Surroundings are good. Exam timing 3 hours . And normal internal test is about one hour maximum one and half hour. Test are strictly maintain. Teaching in tamil can understand by students I think so . And ppt method need more in class . Staff to teach all the lessons and students sometimes take one part of lesson

My sweet college days!!

Likes

College environment was very neat and clean always.
The birds they kept at the front side campus were so pleasant and calm
Campus was large in size and comfortable

Dislikes

College management is very strict in handling students
College management allot less money as prize money for academic winners
Students should get pass even for 2 minutes late entry

Course Curriculum Overview:

The department of English not only offers good education but also so many values to lead our life. Faculties were so friendly in clearing students' doubts. There was personality development course to improve students' personality. Students had to choose any other subjects other than they are studying for sbi course. Due to this students learn about other subjects too.

The rigour of the course is very intense. The syllabus which is followed here is intense and rigorous. Its unique compared to the syllabus offered in other colleges of India.
Staff lore is very good in MSE. Most of the staffs encourage doubts and are also willing to have conversations with you. Faculties are knowledgeable and they know there stuff very well. They take much interests if you reach out to them through mail.
They provide a lot of guest lectures which gives us a lot of exposure and we get to know how economics works in the real life policy making sectors.

Dislikes

Theres no opportunities for sports and extra curricular activities. They don’t conduct any events rather it is done by putting our own money and by the efforts of the students only.
The campus is very small, and there are no proper areas for sports etc and also the canteen is very bad. It is super minimal.
If you want social life then this college is not the place, only the studious one survive here. Well you can still make friends here but then the college ‘itself’ does not provide any social life

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well the course provides almost everything which is needed and available. This is not a normal economics course as it involves statistics,python, core math and also dives into data science. This allows the students to explore various subjects and can choose which is their best fileld. The curriculum overall is very rigorous and intense but you can crack it if you study regularly. About the frequencies of the examinations, we have 2 internal examinations and 1 end semester examination. I can guarantee that this course is super rigorous but im not sure if i would necessarily say that the course is "practical" and it helps us in the real word. I cannot comment on the practicality of the courses. The exams are not super difficult and its moderate. Getting more than 90% can be challenging although clearing the paper won't be an impossible task.

The fees structure of the college is little high
They do not provide any study material to prepare ourself for semester exams
They do not take us for a long trip to make our mind feel fresh

Best things about my college life

III got seats in rathinam, government college, Hindustan and psgcas. But I'm interested in statistics so i joined here hence its the only college in coimbatore has bsc statistics course. No, i got no rejection. Hence all my intention is to join psgcas and i got seated too. My college dairy

I firstly and foremost preference is PSG College which I'm currently pursuing my bachelor's degree and I applied 4 more colleges but I got mail from this college only. Compare to other colleges I like PSG more because the first reason is it located in Coimbatore the city is cool and best.
