Course Curriculum Overview

4

the couse i opted for is very interesting and opens me up t new aspects and teaches us a lot. teaches me about how the economic system runs. a very interesting course but not really helful when it comes to applying in the real world.

Internships Opportunities

5

they provide internship opportunities with big and small companies. it helps you learn and grow in various ways. you can do alot there. there were interships by WIPRO that offered insights on AI, data analysis etc

Placement Experience

4

the placements offered by this college is good. they also provide a lot of intership opportunities so that is other deciding factor. other than that we have a lot of interactive seesion from which we can learn a lot.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for my ongoing course, that is, BSc Economics is Rs. 27,895/- (for semester 1) . Hence my yearly fees would be aound Rs. 55,790/- .The total tution fee for a BSc (Hons) in Economics at BESC is Rs. 2.23 lakhs for a four-year course. The amission fees was Rs. 3000/- . As I have no lab classes, the lab fees is not applicable in my case.

Campus Life

5

it is a very colourful and bright college/ campus life that we experience here. as it has something for everyone. from sports to art and craft. from dance to singing. from poetry to ncc and nss and a lot more

Admission

even though i made it to various colleges in india this one appealed the most to me as it provided a variety of opportunities to help me learn and grow, and also develop at a personal and professional lvel. it was a place where i could persue my hobbies as well balancing out everything

Faculty

4

the faculty overall is good. they open us up to new ideas and ways of thinking but sometimes the teaching style is old and does not really appeal to us. other wise overall the faculty is good. guiding and helping students

Night Life

5

the college is in the most central location with a lot of places around to visit. like parks, cafes, etc. but the campus is so vibrant with the best canteen that you could spend all your time there. it is a lot of fun

Other Applied Colleges

Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies - [NMIMS Deemed to be University] | Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Economics)

did not provide a lot of opportunities

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered for such roles ranges between ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package offered to a BSc student is around ?4 LPA, depending on skills and specialization. Overall, around 15–20% of BSc students get placed through campus drives, and many students rely on off-campus opportunities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was well thought out as per me but there were subjects that i found absolutely unnecessary. Subjects like history evs and clc were in no way related to my course. Coming to the main subjects Design, Printing, Photography and film and Media Training were absolutely necessary for my course and whilst the faculty for some of these subjects were really bad, some were good. It is also important to mention none of these subjects actually helped us prepare for the real world. Instead internships and freelance helped us more than these subjects could ever do. Exams were held bi monthly to keep track of what we learnt and every 6 months we had our semester exams. Overall if you want to be a media professional INTERNSHIPS AND JOBS WILL HELP YOU MORE THAN A COLLEGE WILL. I am biased on this opinion as my college didnt provide me with the correct guidance and support i needed to make it in the real world.

Placement Experience:

In case of computer science department, placement is provided at the Last year of M.sc course. Many companies like Wipro, b10x, Tata visited here. Highest package ever is three lakh per annum. 20-40% of the students got placement after completing M.Sc computer science. My plan after B.sc is to pursue MCA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

* It's all about practical knowledge, we are getting from this course and another aspect is if you wants to make your career in research or lecturer then you should go for it. *No changes required in teaching methods but if college will provide hostel facilities and campus requirement drive, then it will better for candidates.
