College life is important

The course curriculum consists of different subjects of your branch. The exam structure goes as semester wise. In each semester you need to give internal exam of 20 marks and then 10 marks is decided by the teachers on attendance and assignment submission, the rest 70 marks comes from the main semester exams which is conducted by the MAKAUT UNIVERSITY.

Placement in core( MECHANICAL, CIVIL AND ELECTRICAL) department is almost nill only 10% students get placed in these department and in IT department. The placement of COMPUTER SCIENCE AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY is good almost 70% to 80% students gets placed in those branch. Internships are also provide cse and it students and some to bca and mca students with a stipend varying from 5000 to 15000.

In a year you can see total of three fests or events in the college. First one is the freshers mixed with cultural event consists of different small competition. The second fest is a small part of technical fest, in this college students participate. The third fest is the best one, avenir- the technical fest organized by phoenix ( the tech club of college). This fest is quite good in Kolkata and is famous in Kolkata and provide loads of prizes if you win. Small events or competition happen like open mic and startup competition and several other competitions.

As a private engineering college, the fees is quite affordable the first 2 semester you need to give around 70000 and 80000 each semester, then the rest semester you need to give 40000 each semester. Everything totals upto 4 lakh for college fees excluding your living.

I haven't taken a loan or have received a scholarship from college but students TFW(Tution fee waiver) certificate have to only pay around 2 lakh rupees as college fees. The loan is provided by the bank(Punjab National Bank) college which gives you a loan at a quite a affordable interest rate.

Sports events happen in every even semester. The sports consists of cricket, football, kabadi, basketball ball and badminton. Indoor games are also played such as carrom, chess and table tennis. Inter college and intra college events both occur in college. Prize is also distributed and prize money is not much. But it is good to play at this level.

There is no hostel facilities for anyone boys or girls. There are many ways to live the like paying guest, Mess, small hostels and flats depends on the money you are spending on living. You can live there by spending 4000 to 10000 a month.

I don't think so there is any alumni in our college which tells you about the past of our college. The seniors of the college depends on different person. First year students need to go through some intro session but if they behave well, the seniors will help them throughout there course and help in every where its needed a help.

I went through a entrance exam of west bengal joint entrance exam and received a rank of 14053 to get admission in this college. Then there is a process of counselling (3 rounds) in which college do you need to take admission.

The faculty of the college is as usual not every teacher is good in the college, some teachers are good in teaching among those some will help you different areas but most of the teachers don't help you.
