Course Curriculum Overview

4

There are some major issues with the curriculum of the course of bcom honours which can get fixed, but there are some good things to which are as follows: Diverse offering of subjects like in form of Delhi, sec, vac etc. Interdisciplinary approach which helps the students a lot. Some weakness are : Out date syllabus which are not up to the mark of today world or industrial standards Limited focus on pratical application of the subject and real worlf application which might leave students under prepared for the competitive job markets in today's world

Placement Experience

4

My college do provide the placement opportunities not in all courses but in my course which is bcom honours and the placement in bcom honours is best in ever other bcom hons course in other universities. The highest placement can get up to 35lakhs per annum and the average package is around 10-12lakhs per annum. The medium salary is around 10 lakhs per annum. Also many students after completing there grade goes for thet masters, professional courses like CA, CMA, frm etc. Also some people also gets into start up and all

Fees and Financial Aid

At the addmission process I paid around 15-16k. So total fee for my course is around 50000 t0 60000 rupees for the four year of bcom honours in Kirori mal college of DU. The fees for St or sc students are same, not much different . So if I talk about the schollership du provide are lot like schollership for students belongs to schedule caste, schedule tribe, other backward classes or belongs to any other minorities group they can apply the for the sc/st/obc schollership in du schollership portal. And get around 2 lakhs of aid. The schollership are based on there marks, income level and achievements etc. Some other scholarships are udhav Ram trust schollership, j.c. Luther and kesari lala schollership, delhi University and college karamchari union book grants, sh. Prem Prakash awards and v.k. Rao endorsement grants etc which can helps the students

Campus Life

4

One thing for sure I can say about the Delhi University is that it is famous for its festival like for Diwali, gharba nights, book festival and move. The fest season are also so good which generally held during the the even semester period or From March to October. The societies if university of Delhi is fabulous and amazing. It helps us to learn and grow a lot from all aspects of our life. The sports culture is solid which helps the students to get forward

Admission

As far as I can say about my course which is bcom honours, delhi University north campus is the best university for commerce in India also I guess in Asia too. So it was a definite choice for me. Other than that I also got selected for bhu fmc bcom h, but I since it comes lower than du i preferred du over bhu. The parameters i choose for college selection are: Placement rates and salary Legacy of the college or university Crowd of people Societies and culture Academic of the college Distance Nirf ranking of the college and university The admission are done through by giving the examination of CUET which covers a lot of central and state university of the india. For appearing in the exam you must have passed class 12th or equivalent of that. After getting the scores each university opens there admission portal life du csas portal of bhu ug admission portal. There exam are of the subject you studied in your class 12 and also a optional paper like Genral test for admission in other course. Each course has its own required like for bcom h subject are bst, maths/accounts, eco and English/Hindi. After filling the admission for for college to make a preference list of the college in that college and in the counciling round your are allotted the college in terms of the cut off and merit.

Faculty

My course have a total of 8 semester divided in 2 per year. Have 7 subject 3 dse, ge, aec, sec and vac. It has a credit system of marking. The dse and ge are of total 160 marks - 90 of writing and 70 of practical, CA, attendance etc. When I first get into the college it was quite confusing to what was the credit or sec, vac system but with time it gets cleared. The exam are of moderate level (telling as a perspective of bcom hons)for the dse subjects if you study other wise it will be tough for you. The other additional subjects are easy and help to score high grades which can boost your CGPA. But the the level of examination gets higher each semester like in sem 3 the business mathematics are tough for many non maths students any many students fail in it. I think is for sure that you will get many assignments throughout your every semester and Continuous assignment, internal test, viva and presentation in between for those 70 marks or 2 credit out of 169 marks or 6 credit which some time is very hectic. The best departments of many my college are department of commerce and economics because they are quite helpful and they are active alot. My least favorite department are of Department of life sciences and political science can of there in activeness and involvement in college politics of DU

Night Life

4

As we all know delhi University is quite famous for its night life and fun. There is famous saying about the Delhi University is that people don't here to study but to enjoy or having fun. There a lot of gym around the north campus, lot of library for each college and a common for the north campus, there are a lot of pg in north campus. One famous tea spot is sudamas tea spot which is a wibe in itself. The nightlife in north campus is quite safe generally as compared to other parts of Delhi, but things can happen u may never know. One issue is of phone snatching which I have seen live in front of me. Since the metro connection is quite good we may go any where to enjoy

The course provides a comprehensive image of finance and management, though after NEP, the curriculum seems a little irrelevent. The exams are conducted twice in a year, 2 sems per year, they conduct mid sem exams as well.
