Faculties are amazingly qualified as well as friendly for solving your doubts
You get multiple opportunities for the industrial experience as internship. This institute provide amazing placement opportunities with high salaries.

Dislikes

The area of the campus is small leads to chaos. Which will be averted after shifting to new campus
Due to the small campus sitting places are very small
Hostel facilities and rooms are very poor.

Placement Experience:

2nd year students are eligible for the campus placement. Sai, Hetero, mendine, dr. Reddys etc companies visities for the campus placement. Offers ranges from 5-12 lpa. 60% students gets placed, 10% goes for higher studies and others get job off campus in my department. Other departments has 100% placement. My plans are pHd from Niper as it provides vast knowledge and instrumental exposure.

The Techno Experience

Likes

Practical Exposure with hands on training is always good for personal growth
The laboratories were well equipped with state of the art instruments
Entrepreneurship was encouraged and it really helped us with designing future start ups.

Dislikes

Lack of scholarships for the needy is one thing that needed to be worked on.
There was a distinct lack of encouragement to pursue extracurricular activity.
Sometimes it felt like it would have helped if we had a mental health counsellor onboard with the department.

Placement Experience:

Techno India University has a strong campus placement. Several students got jobs during the last semester, and I am one of them. Some others choose to wait for better opportunities. Some joined good startups. The package was nominal as we were all freshers. After getting my degree, I planned to pursue corporate experience and then join a lab for my PhD.

Politics is on peak since great colleges in india such as JNU are engaged in political activities

The duration of practical can be of 4-5 hours at a strech sometimes apart from Theory classes

My thoughts on our beloved Sidho Kanho Birsha University.

Likes

The most I liked about my university is the infrastructure and availability of facilities for our studies.
Second thing I like are our professors . They help us in every aspect of our educational or personal life .
Third thing I like the most is my batchmates who gives me encouragement for pursuing my studies.

Dislikes

The university is a bit far from the Purulia city . So the connectivity is a problem.
I think if we get some extra hours of the lab facilities, that will be great.
Water purifier are available in some of the floors I think the number should be increased.

Placement Experience:

The campus placement of our university is quite good and it is getting better day by day. Especially our chemistry department is doing great in this field. Last year our dept almost hit 100% placements and the highest package was of 5 lpa. I am planning to peruse my PhD after MSc.

I wanted to take journalism and Mass Communication, and that too in Kolkata. I came to know that by word of mouth, this is one of the best colleges in Kolkata for Mass Communication, with around six professors for a single course. I got rejected from Jadavpur College as I received around 92.25 percent which did not meet the merit cut-off level of the college. The admission process relies on the application via the official online website, and it can be based on the last percentage gathered by the candidate. There is no entrance exam based on this course, as far as my knowledge is concerned. The admission experience was smooth....Read More

A memorable time to remember

I have applied for Dinabandhu Andrews College and also New Alipore College for mathematics hons and I got selected for both the colleges and I started class in Dinabandhu Andrews College for few days but there the faculty used to talk in Bengali and the faculty members are not really good also the ambience so I applied in Asutosh College and I got selected too over there....so I shifted to Asutosh College, as I always wanted to persue this course from Asutosh College due to there faculty in this subject is really very good. Admission process is very easy for this college as they took online admission...so u have to fill form with all the documents and they will publish list according to merits and if you get selected then will they you to connect them buy giving all the details...Read More

Life at Asutosh Mookherjee college as a freshman

Besides getting selection in St Xavier's college and MUC college in Burdwan. I also got selected for Lady Braboune, South Calcutta girls college and many other. I didn't opt for any of there because maximum of my criteria were fulfilled in Asutosh Mookherjee college. I didn't make it to Xavier's College Kolkata due to some financial problem and in Jadavpur University, I couldn't clear the admission test. The admission procedure in our college is merit based (based on class 12th or equivalent examination). The merit marks is calculated with 50% of your best of 5 subjects aggregate and 50% of your hons marks....Read More
