Course Curriculum Overview

Geography in m.sc courses basically need for higher education, because this course help to give net and set,that is one of the Door of p.hd and college service commission.this courses exam semester wise(4 semsster) in 2 years,where 250 marks exam every semester.

Placement Experience

This University or colleges not gave any job opportunities.they gave just degree (as like b.a ,b.sc,bba,m.sc,m.a).they have gave opportunity for further future governmental job. government give stipend on the besed on cast category (reserved quta)and merit basis.

In asutosh college admissions basically in graduation based on higher secondary marks and apply online.then short out on the basis of criteria and called for counciling.other hand m.sc or m.a in post-graduation entry based on merit marks and entrance marks.

Likes

Laboratories facilities are amazing as it is a premium institute. All the labs contains instrument which are available only in institute of national importance o
Faculties are amazingly qualified as well as friendly for solving your doubts
You get multiple opportunities for the industrial experience as internship. This institute provide amazing placement opportunities with high salaries.

Dislikes

The area of the campus is small leads to chaos. Which will be averted after shifting to new campus
Due to the small campus sitting places are very small
Hostel facilities and rooms are very poor.

Placement Experience:

2nd year students are eligible for the campus placement. Sai, Hetero, mendine, dr. Reddys etc companies visities for the campus placement. Offers ranges from 5-12 lpa. 60% students gets placed, 10% goes for higher studies and others get job off campus in my department. Other departments has 100% placement. My plans are pHd from Niper as it provides vast knowledge and instrumental exposure.

Comprehensive Review of MSc Life Sciences in Presidency University, Kolkata.

Likes

Well equipped laboratories with all necessary instruments and chemicals and whatever that is required. Even Electron microscope are available
Senior and Junior relationship is great, and PhD scholars often guide you in studies and in Life
Canteens, Playground, Books shops are near or inside the Campus with Department and Central Library with access to many books and online resources and WiFi

Dislikes

Politics is on peak since great colleges in india such as JNU are engaged in political activities
Attendance above 75 percent is mandatory to appear for exams
The duration of practical can be of 4-5 hours at a strech sometimes apart from Theory classes

Placement Experience:

Not all courses provides placements. But Placements are often common in departments such as Geology, for other departments, faculties can provide letters of recommendations and absorb as PhD scolars after PG completion and satisfactory performance

My thoughts on our beloved Sidho Kanho Birsha University.

Likes

The most I liked about my university is the infrastructure and availability of facilities for our studies.
Second thing I like are our professors . They help us in every aspect of our educational or personal life .
Third thing I like the most is my batchmates who gives me encouragement for pursuing my studies.

Dislikes

The university is a bit far from the Purulia city . So the connectivity is a problem.
I think if we get some extra hours of the lab facilities, that will be great.
Water purifier are available in some of the floors I think the number should be increased.

Placement Experience:

The campus placement of our university is quite good and it is getting better day by day. Especially our chemistry department is doing great in this field. Last year our dept almost hit 100% placements and the highest package was of 5 lpa. I am planning to peruse my PhD after MSc.

Likes

Faculty was very Supportive and helpful. They also motivate for study
Environment is good for study. The spacious campus is the main attraction.
Different kind of seminar held for improvement of our study.

Dislikes

Classrooms are not well designed and too small
They don't offer any placement for every department

I wanted to take journalism and Mass Communication, and that too in Kolkata. I came to know that by word of mouth, this is one of the best colleges in Kolkata for Mass Communication, with around six professors for a single course. I got rejected from Jadavpur College as I received around 92.25 percent which did not meet the merit cut-off level of the college. The admission process relies on the application via the official online website, and it can be based on the last percentage gathered by the candidate. I have applied for Dinabandhu Andrews College and also New Alipore College for mathematics hons and I got selected for both the colleges and I started class in Dinabandhu Andrews College for few days but there the faculty used to talk in Bengali and the faculty members are not really good also the ambience so I applied in Asutosh College and I got selected too over there....so I shifted to Asutosh College, as I always wanted to persue this course from Asutosh College due to there faculty in this subject is really very good. Life at Asutosh Mookherjee college as a freshman

Besides getting selection in St Xavier's college and MUC college in Burdwan. I also got selected for Lady Braboune, South Calcutta girls college and many other. I didn't opt for any of there because maximum of my criteria were fulfilled in Asutosh Mookherjee college. I didn't make it to Xavier's College Kolkata due to some financial problem and in Jadavpur University, I couldn't clear the admission test. This is the best college under University of Calcutta from very old times, Specially the science department of asutosh college really excellent, The college came under TOP BEST 4 colleges of west Bengal. NAAC accredicated A grade college. The Microbio department really excellent of this college comparing others institutes.
