the first and foremost thing is the campus itself, we have two campuses in our colleges the old campus is very spacious,filled with greenery ,there are multiple ground and the new campus is based on modern design theory it is very well maintained....
the sports faculty is very good of our college, our college is considered the best among all the delhi university in multiple sports and we have won several tournaments...
the teachers and staff are very good and helpful,,

Dislikes

the college canteen is not so good it canbe improved
the ground in new campus needs maintainence
the old campus needs some minor tweeks and updates

Course Curriculum Overview

i opted for b.com(hons) as i am a commerce student ,further the course is very much relevant in the modern day world ,more such for students opting for proffesional courses after graduation,it needs some updates like replacement of some subjects which not sound much relevant in recent times , the exams occur as they should be and the difficulty is moderate ...

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 16500 per year

Internships Opportunities

there are ample of insternship opportunities available by our college's placement cell, there are delhi based firms and startups hiring interns with a stipend ranging from 5k to 25k based on the work and time period the tasks are generally east to do for students nurturing them for further life experiences

Fees and Financial Aid

the detailed fees structure is around 15- 18k/year,it includes all the charges as Tuition fees, caution fees, registration fees, admission fees, development fees, lab fees and the other compulsory charges during the course completion as per the category (like Management, SC, ST). i am not sure about any scholarship as such that is given by our college futher i have also talked toh the seniors about this ,but not got any updates on it

Campus Life

the overall campus life is good, i have met some of the best people that i could have in my life, got to know many new things,the social life is also good as there are multiple societies in our university across multiple genre.the infrastructure is also great

Admission

i applied for delhi university and got this(swami shraddhanand) and i am very much satisfied with it,yes i do applied for symbiosis also further i got selected there also,but when i got to know that i have also been selected by delhi university ,,i opted for du instantly as it a dream for many to study in the best central university of the country.i got here by clearing the cuet exam , was eligible as i have got good marks in 12 th standard also i got good marks in cuet(650/800) ,further the cutoffs stays high every year but your hardwork will be worth it..

Faculty

all faculties are very good they are very helpful with students, specially the commerce one, there are two types of exams one is the end sem which occurs in end of every semester and mid sem which occurs just before endsem

Night Life

the nightlife is also good as there are gym's ,cafes and other places to hang out around the university and college ,hostels are also good ,but i don't resite to it so i have less idea about it, places like hudson lane, or sudama chai wala are a must for evening hangout

Likes

The faculty members are supportive, knowledeable. Teacher explain concepts clearly and encourage student to participate in discussion
I like friendly and comfortable campus environment. student from different background intreact with each other
The college provides a good acedemics foundation and opptunities for overall development. being Part of delhi university also give student exposure to different events

Dislikes

some classroom and campus facilitues need improvement
placement oppotunites can be improved, esecially for student looking for better corporate exposure.
the evening college schedule can something be inconveibient because many acitvity and oppotunities are generally more accessible during regular college hours

I would rate the course curriculum around 4 out of 5. The curriculum is well structured and covers important subject related to commerce, accounting, finance, economics and business. I chose this course because is provides a strong foundationfor higher studies, competetives exam and careers in the cmmerce field

Life at South Campus

Likes

The crowd at venky is great, diverse crowd.
The campus is well maintained and is one of the bests at DU.
Opportunities provided to students are great

Dislikes

The attendance policy is a little strict for 1st and 2nd year

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course provides a comprehensive image of finance and management, though after NEP, the curriculum seems a little irrelevent. The exams are conducted twice in a year, 2 sems per year, they conduct mid sem exams as well.

Shyam Lal College( Morning) Review

Likes

College is improving day by day teaching faculty is also helpful it recently got A++ NAAC credition as well
Overall college is good if you have good peer group.
Near to north campus so doesn't really feel much of headache if you want to visit regularly.

Dislikes

Shadara is not a good place to spend your college life.
Evening college crowd has made the reputation of the college bad.
Near by area is not safe for Girls in late hours.

Placement Experience:

6th sem is the first time college placement are proceeded . Companies are not impressive and mostly are entry level jobs such as cold calling and such which they offer. Highest package was 4 lpa and avg was 2.5 only. Around 60 percent students gets placed.

Likes

The online learning platform is easy ans simple to use students can acces lecture and assigments and study materials anytime
Faculty mambers provide clear guidance through online sessions and study materials they are supportive
They procides recording that was very usefull when we will not attend the live class

Dislikes

Since the classes are in online and also there are some techical issues while taking classes that will interupt classes
placement support is limited in online classes so students need to search for internships and job oppertunities on their own
Its deffecult to connect student coordinators while we wnat exam timetable etc they are too slow

I choose BCOM because the want to take ACCA after BCOM it will helps to improve my career and give a better job and also BCOM is the basices of ACCA like law, financial managment, taxation etc .The curriculam provide strong fountation for students who wamts to pursue higher studies such as M.COM , MBA and professuonal couses. BCOM helps to understanding real world bussiness practices , accounting sytem etc . on;ine study material recordimg leture and assigments also make flexible for students to study their own pace. exams are usually conducted semister wise the difficulty level 0of exam are moderate if students were attend the class regulary and prepare well

Faculties are best. They teaches you and create never ending bond with you.
Infrastructure is good but the area is small , the greenery is amazing and flowers are sooo sweetest.

Dislikes

No hygiene in canteen. Avoid eating from canteen.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is highly relevant notably the focus on real world applications and Advanced Financial reporting. It prepared me well for professional life. Improvement is needed in digital tool exposure.

i dont like any thing in this college

there is a green gaurden in my colleges old campus
we have a big ground in our college which i like i can play football there
they make an football ground in old campus which is good

Dislikes

techers are not good in teacing they just want to let it go the classes
my college was too small and the classes are not properly furnished for my class size
there is no place for sit in the shade or to make our mind diverted or have fun and the canteen is worst of old campus

i am from commerce background i want to do eco honers but in 12th i dont have mathematics so i cant then i decideid for b. com honers but i aloted the b.com program which is my 3rd priority umm i leanrd new things in my ncc and with my friends there are very less college activities to i dont know how to make my college life good and make some experiences they can make us travel with them to the real buiseness or any factory or a relay paper work from any company i want to do a camp in jab which is good for my ncc life but it is during my exams thats why i cant did that camp yet

i liked their faculty member and staff , they are played with students and taught as a friend
i liked canteen service and their foods it is hygienic but canteen infrastructure is not good
i liked their ground its have bollyball court basketball court badminton court and cricket ground also and they provide gym in college

Dislikes

i didn't like their campus because its not too much big
and college provide which lift service is not working properly
their bathroom is not too good and not too much hygienic

i choose bcom hons and all teacher are provide their 100% on their courses but neet to improve in practical exam because some computer not working and teacher teach students in one computer but there is no difficult paper according to time some time it's lengthy.
