Course Curriculum Overview

2

I would rate the course curriculum 5/10 as it is pretty basic mostly and is taught in a mediocre way. The curriculum prepares students with almost basic level of knowledge which is not really applies in real world. Difficulty level is average for the exams and the frequency is not predictable and depends on faculty personal ease

Internships Opportunities

3

There are several companies visiting our college like Atlas, servicenow, oracle, Salesforce, providence, keyloop, saras , etc., offering software developer roles. Major recruiters are Infosys, LTI Mindtree,Cognizant, accenture and TCS.

Placement Experience

3

The placement opportunities are decent but this year they are lesser due to recession and layoffs at corporate firms. There are few product based companies like oracle principal global, etcm, and many service based companies like servicenow, cognizant, Accenture, TCS ,etc.,coming to recruit our students. My plan is to be a software engineer after getting the degree and I am sitting for placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

Every branch has same fees for tuition fees that is 1 lakh and thirty thousand (130000) rupees. Again for semester fees we pay around 1200 for regular exams and extra 1200 for supply exams for less than or equal to three subs more than that 2500 rupees. Caution fees is 1000 rupees Infrastructure/development fees is 1000 rupees.

Campus Life

4

Annual techfest name is ACUMEN and annual cultural fest is EUPHORIA. Typically held in April every year just before summer vacations or academic year ends. There is a good library in my college which offers several magazines, and many textbooks from different authors. There is also a e library portal for my college. There are two volleyball courts and one basketball court. Remaining ground has two football goalspots and is used for football or cricket. There are few clubs like SWAYAM ED-CELL, DSAC IT,GDSC, etc.,

Admission

This college is managed by OC. Management and shows no caste politics or partiality. I got a rank of 800 in COMEDK so would have got CSE and IT at RVCE and got 5700 rank in viteee so could have got computer science or ECE atleast I also applied to lnmiit and got approval. I also applied to shastra SRM and gitam in which I got offers but my parents wanted me to stay in Hyderabad my hometown and wanted a decent college so I chose this. My college has three ways to get into. One is through state entrance eamcet Other is called b category which cuts off chance to reimbursement, which is joining based on jeemains rank and is called B category Next is nri and sports quota which is hardly 5% of total seats.

Faculty

3

Each department atleast has approximately 30-40 faculty and 200 students so we can say the ratio is 1:5/1:6. Name of faculty I deeply like is Dr. Vasudha and and Ms. Vanitha thakur ma'am who teach Maths2 and semiconductor physics respectively. I have no particular dislike against any faculty. There are 3 assignments and 3 quizzes which account for 10 marks out of 40 sessional marks. Remaining 30 are from two internal exams contributing 15 marks each Main exam or semester exam is for 60 marks for theory and 50 marks for lab. Course curriculum is decent.

Night Life

1

There is no hostel facility and all the students are either day scholars living in city or live at private hostels or shared rooms near college. Library has two floors one for seniors and one for everyone. College timings are 9:40 to 4:20 and lunch between 12:40 and 1:20. Locality is not great and is an undeveloped area accompanied by military grounds.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement Experience:

The placements are comparatively more in this college, as there is more industry exposure. Students are eligible for placements from around 3-2 (3rd yr-II sem) to 4-2 (4th yr- II sem). Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, NCR often visit the campus. The highest package offered last year was 1.2 cr (International offer). Around 90% students who were eligible got placement. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
