Too much hectic schedule of lectures during entire week.
Monthly and annually tests and exams which creates burden.
Very tight security and not even let students to go out for a walk during college hours.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum for the B.Tech. Computer Science Engineering Program was rigorous and up-to-date with industry standards. There is a mix of theoretical and hands-on-projects, which gave me a well-rounded experience. I enrolled into this program because i want to deep dive in computer science. Overall my experience is nice here.

Class Size: 5000Course Fees: INR 600000 per year

Placement Experience

In terms of placements, approximately 85-90% of our batch mates were successfully placed in top-notch companies lilke Amazon, Flipkart, Kalyera etc. From the 6th semester ownwards people become eligible to sit in placement drives and I still remeber that here i got chances to sit in 50 companies and i recieved offers from 7 companies and now i am happy with my job and i got a full-time offer.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year-wise fees for the full course of B.Tech. is 6 lakhs, but now it is increased to 8 lakhs. Also, they provide scholarships to SC's and ST's. The merit listed students also use to get 15000 as one time scholarships for getting passed with 90 or above percentage.

Campus Life

Actually, in our college from academics to sports for everything there is a suttle environment. If anyone joins here will feel mix of enjoyment and joyness. There are a lot of clubs that will organize a lot a events on monthly basis which will help students boosting their self-esteem and will motivate them to participate and win exciting rewards.

Admission

According to me, everything is fine and good here. If anyone wants to live their dreams they can come to CGC and then they will come to know that they are achieving something. Also, if i talk about what is different here then that will be the supportiveness from mentors and also the placements that makes this college different and exceptional from other ones. For admission process here just you have to come with your all original documents and rest process will go smoothely because they will help you with everything.

Faculty

Faculty members here are highly qualified and supportive and they are always ready to help students in any sort of matter related to studiesand other areas. I still remember Miss. Rubaljeet and Miss. Manjeet who always helped me in making a perfect match to the computer science field. They used to teach in a way that not only clears all our doubts but also have shaped us as a industry-proven.

Night Life

There are a lot of facilities are there in the college. You will find many parks, canteens, cafeterias, playgrounds, libraries and many more things. Please do visit once, you will enjoy a lot. Hostel and Campuses are so nice and there is a lot of cleaniness is there everywhere.

Likes

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment
The library is really nice place to study
Lots of hangout spots in and around campus

Dislikes

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

The Scholarship benefit is good when compared to other universities the fee is also not very huge.The Infrastructure of the campus was vast and there arelots of stall to purchase food items etc
There is a big mall through which You can get necessary items .In every hostel you will have departmental stores
The faculty was highly qualified. The Placements opportunities are also good The average was offered was 5-6 LPA.The Lpu newly Launched Education Revolution is very good for students

Dislikes

The mandatory 75% attendance policy for every subject.If you not maintain you will debar from End term examinations which is not all good
The Roads are not that much good .The roads are made of parking tiles instead of Thar
The distance between hostels and main gates are nearly 1.5 -2 km which not at all good .but there e-rickshaw they charge 15 rupees per person to drop from hostel to main gate

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course cirriculum changes every year by rapid changes happening due to AI The University has also launched a new school called School of AI and emerging technologies.from this every year syllabus changesand exams pattern changes .the difficulty of exams is increasing day by day.

Inside NITJ- Beyond the Brochure

Likes

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

The environment of the college is so nice, helpful staff, AC labs for CS deptt.
Canteen and water facilities and park in both deptts

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far
Nothing as of now everything was good enough

- Limited campus opportunities were available, and most students become eligible from the final year. - The average package was around 2-5 LPA. - after my degree my plan is to improve my employability my strengthening my technical skill in my domain

From 7th sem students become eligible for campus placements and tata or Infosys companies visited and about 60 to 70 percent students were placed and my plans after getting the degree is to opt for higher studies doing mtech from iit

I like the machines that's why I choose the mechanical branch in engineering line. Noida , Gurgoan , Chandigarh , Bengluru and many other areas for improvements in the course curriculum and teaching methods.

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing
The Library that remains open till 10-11 at night for those who wish to study till late
Great mentors and very helpful teachers who are always willing to help

The hectic schedule and curriculum that the students have to follow.
The lack of certain facilities that would help the students improve thoer personalities
Too much strictness and restrictions with everything that someone wishes to do

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum

I choose this college because there are very reasonable fees which we can afford. This is well known college in my area which gives the placement to many students that was the best thing about my college. In our college they train the student by taking TPP in this we have verbal, technical, aptitutde. They prepare us for the interviews and this is not done in any other colleges. In first i tried to take admission in chandigarh university but there fees structure is out of my budget. So i choose the Chandigarh Group of College over the Chandigarh University.
