Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

It's very nice. After 4.5 years, an additional 1 year of CRRI would be very useful. We are supposed to go for the clinical postings from 2nd year onwards. So it is very useful for us to learn easily.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, our college provide internship. The internship is for a period of one year. After completing the 4.5 years of study, we are supposed to work in our hospital. It is very useful to learn more and make most interactive session with patients. The stipend is about 18k to 20k.

Placement Experience

5

There is 100% placements and all are getting placement in most of the government hospitals amd also in some private hospitals. Orelse we can set up a own clinic. The job opportunities is also 100%. So there is no doubt about job opportunity.

College Events

5

There are so many events are celebrated in our college. It includes quiz competitions, CME, workshops and seminars. But there are three main events. They are, Euphoria - it is a main event dealing about arts and cultural programmes. Stanlea - deals with sports event. Empower - deals with the academic and knowledge.

Fee Structure And Facilities

This is a government medical college. So the fee structure is feasible. Since it is a government college , fees are absolutely affordable ( 10000-13000/yr ) with hostel mess fee ranging between 3500-5000/month. One needs to shell some bucks for textbooks though because u need them for ur entrance preps and in ur future courses.

Fees and Financial Aid

With affordable fee structure there is no need of applying for loan. There are many scholarships for those from low economic strata - FFE scholarship ( around 40000/yr ) Agaram scholarship , Fist graduate scholarship , scholarships for BC, MBC , ST , SC students which can be applied through college.

Campus Life

4.5

There are so many extracurricular activites such as singing, dancing and etc. There are so many laboratories. Each department having one laboratory. They maintain the labs very clean and neat. Regarding sports, there are five major sports - Football, Cricket, Hockey, Basketball and volley ball. There are also minor games such as badminton, carrom, chess and table tennis, etc.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

There are different hostel blocks for different batches with shared rooms for first , second , prefinal years and single rooms for final year , crri and post graduates. The hostels are very neat and clean. The mess is also situated inside the hostels. The foods are very hygienic and tasty.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors are very helpful. They are very helpful during the exam times and also in other problems. They will guide us in internal assessments and also in university examinations. They are treat us like their own brothers. Regarding alumni, there is an alumni meet every year. They found a treasury called alumni treasury, which is useful for the study of poor students.

Exam Structure

The exam structure is based on the instructions of Dr.MGR university. There is one final university exam for every year. The 2nd year is a period of 1.5 years. So totally 4 final university exams to be held in the total of 4.5 years. Also the each department will held 6 to 7 internal assessment exams in the period of study.

Admission

I got admission in this college via NEET UG 2017 examination. NEET UG is the common exam for getting medical seats in government medical colleges and most of the seats in private colleges. It is the common entrance exam for medical colleges.

Faculty

5

The faculties in the college are very experienced. They taught us very well and are very closely. They are not like teachers, they are look like close friends. They help us in the needy. They are ready to clear our doubts at any time.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our curriculum is CBME based curriculum. It is more clinically oriented. We get to answer questions only after diagnosing the clinical case based questions. It focuses more on practical knowledge rather than just focusing on the theory part. It makes us ready to handle patients.

Course Curriculum Overview:

For my medical field i feel some subjects are unnecessary in my view point like the community medicines. I feel anatomy weightage should be more compared to buochemistrand physiology. I would like them to improve the chapters and remove chalters that are unnecessary so that we medical students can concentrate on whats inportant rather than studying everything and stuffing our brain.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was very passionate about entering the medical field quite early in my life, so I knew what I had to do when I was in school. Medical field is a very challenging area to choose and the work life balance is not as good as other professions. However, it is very engaging and interesting for people who are actually interested in the subject. However, one cannot practice medicine after finishing MBBS because of the increasing competition, so he has to do PG course in order to be more approachable for the patients as well as to serve better in the specific field. The course curriculum is start in a well planned manner and the portions are completed ahead of time so that students have around 1 to 1.5 months of study break before the university exams every year. So, along with the exams that take place throughout the year, students will also have ample time to prepare for their exams in their own way preferred.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course is well known for its complexity. It's so hard to understand in the first go. We will start to realise that 12th was just an ABCD. This not something impossible with patience and intrest it's easy to learn. Every month we will be having internals for each subject. It would be hectic but fruitful. Don't always street about academics there are lot of beautiful things to gaze at also.
