Dislikes
- Hostels facility are not sufficient and it is alloted based on the academic environment
- Infrastructure is not good it is still running on the old building
- Some subject which are irrelevant is still running.
Course Curriculum Overview
I was interested in knowing about the machine and thier mechanism which influence me to learn mechanical engineering and i take it here. Courses are well structured and totally industry relevant while there are still very few subject which need improvement yet
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities at the college is not good only few of the student get on campus internship while most of the above go for Offcampus and mostly companies come for the placement purpose.few of the famous companies that come for the internship are Microsoft, amazon, caterpillar, deloitte, ZS associate etc with multiple roles like SDE, Data analytics, etc with descent stipend.
Placement Experience
Placement of the college is very impressive almost 85% of the students grab the placement offers last year in which highest was 62 lpa offer by linkdin while average was about 9 lpa including all branches. Companies like google, Microsoft, tata steel, vedanta, jsw come for the placement. I have planned to get placed after completion of degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee structure is based on family's income for the obc and general student while st/sc students are exempted from the payment of tuition fee which is around 69,000 per semester while they charges 7000 each semester for the admission fee in each semester. If your parents income is less than 1lakh then 100% off in the payment of tuition fees if it is less than 5lakh then only 2/3 of the tuition fees is exempted. There are many scholarship available in the college like nsp, and other state scholarship
Campus Life
Campus life at National institute of technology raipur is average. Most of time you will be engaged in the study. But there are so many clubs and committee are available in the college.few of the famous fest of the college are Eclectika which is cultural fest of the college, SAMAR which is sports fest of the college, avartan which is technical fest of the college
Hostel Facilities
Hotel's are not sufficient in the college. Allotment of the hostel is based on the academic performance of the student. Mess food quality is too bad. If you want to get hostel you will have to fill admission form with result then submit it to the concern authority.
Admission
I choose this college because of its placement and strong alumni network.admission process of the college is very clear you have to just appear in JEE examination then you have to participate in the jossa counseling after that allotment of the seat is done as per the cutoff
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio in the college is about 1:30. All the faculties are very supporting and well behaved. They all are highly qualified and even few of them are in world 2% of the researchers list. Exams are conducted regularly as per the academic calender and courses are designed as per the industry demand
Night Life
Nightlife in the college is not good . There are so many restrictions in college campus during night. You are not allowed to go outside the campus after 10:30 and hostels too. Library, gyms both open till 8:00 pm.
