Remarks

Academics is tough. Campus environment is good. Far from crowded city. Cafeteria, co-operative shops and computer centre are open for 24 hours. Overall the college is nice and well disciplined. You will enjoy your studies here.

Course Curriculum Overview

My branch is Electronics and Communication Engg.(ECE). The curriculum is not easy to handle. You have to work hard to get good grades in the semesters. For me, 1st year was easy then the syllabus became harder for the rest years.

Internships Opportunities

YES. The college provides internships for different streams. You will be selected according to your talent and grades. You have to go through the college website to get the information and the eligibility criteria. I did an intern in 3rd year under one of my faculty on Signal Processing. Stipends will be given according to your workforce.

Placement Experience

The placements are very high for some branches like (CSE,ECE,EEE) almost 95% but not good for other branches. You can see the placement history on the college website in detail about each branch. Average package(salary) is high for IT jobs.

College Events

Main events TATHVA- Cultural fest for dance, pro shows, exhibitions, gaming events and others. RAGAM- Technical fest for dance, pro shows, street plays, gaming, technical combats, fashion show. Other branch events are regularly organised every year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It's feasible. Now the Central Government has applied rules on the fee structure for students coming from different economical backgrounds. You can get the bank loans easily in the campus itself. Don't worry about that.

Fees and Financial Aid

I got state scholarship for all my four years. I got an education loan from the bank easily for the hostel and college fees. But you can avail only one scholarship a year form any sources according to the college rules.

Campus Life

Every year there are many sports events organised by the college. There is a separate department for such activities. Also the labs are well maintained with required equipment and tools and guided by faculties.

Hostel Facilities

Nice infrastructure. Each hostel has good WiFi connection, well constructed rooms, 24x7 electricity, water supply, clean and safe separately for boys and girls. No ragging and violence at all in the hostels.

External Expense: Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are very helpful for the newcomers. They know the college environment better than the juniors. They will provide you notes and other materials when you need. Alumni network is also nice. They provide scholarships for needy ones.

Exam Structure

Every semester there will be 3 exams. First two will be Unit Tests of 15-20 marks and an end semester exam for 50 marks. Some marks will be for project works and assignments and presentations and other technical skills.

Admission

By clearing JEE Mains with good marks. Also l got good marks in my +2 board. Combinely l got a good rank in JEE Mains, then l filled my choices of branch and colleges. After 4 rounds of counselling l got this college.

Faculty

First of all l thought that the teaching language will be English combined with Malayalam but it wasn't. All faculties teach in English. They provide good notes and ppts for the subjects. Also they help the poor students in studies.

Good life memory

Likes

College ambience was too attractive. Friendly atmosphere ആൻഡ് very nice hidden spots and food spots inside the college
The faculty was too supportive and encouragive nature that was also in studies and extra curricular activities also that be very kind of them
There is not only aim to study but also encourage the extra activities. The management was also very supportive to students and also the faculties.

Dislikes

There is very strict to attendence. There was not to bunk the class every hour there will take the attendence and there will be absent they autimaticaly send sms to registerd phone
There is too many exams and assignments that will be little bit problem for students
Canteen facilities little bit bad in my college life time. There was not that much food veriety

Placement Experience:

From 6 th semester onwards campus placement taken. There was coming in bcs, infopark, wipro, etc. Companies are mainly appeared and also many other companies came select many students. The main companies take students in cutoff 8.5or9 cgpa. And some other compnies take students they have backpapers.

Likes

The overall environment here is great. Students coming from different backgrounds make us more capable of meeting new people who have different ideas and that makes things easier,apart from achieving technical greatness ,curtain clubs are here
These clubs gives opportunities to gain new skills and to showcase our existing skills, sports clubs are also present which will help improve skills in sports
Cultural clubs , technical clubs are also present here to aid in your interest

Placement Experience:

Upon reaching s7 students are invited for campus placement but they have to pass different criteria to become eligible for attending the interview, a minimum cgpa of 7.5 and academic skills a these are the basic requirements and an aptitude test will be given and in further selection these criteria are looked. I plan on pursuing a job after completing by btech. More than half the students in a batch are getting placed usually.

Likes

college provides nice venue good study environment

It is so far from the main road a lot to walk

Students can get internships from First sem. Students become eligible from 7th sem for campus placement . The average package begins from 15000/- to most highest package of 25000/-. The percentage of students getting paced is 20-30%.I have been planiing to go to higher studies.

Campus, comparing from nearby college this college had good visual beauty may be because of the college been part 2-3 movies. Visually the college are too good with nature

Dislikes

The Placement is weak as there is no opportunity to get a proper core based job from what you studied mainly job opportunities come from call centres which doesnt require Btech to study. This personally felt too sad to be here to get placed in core.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As of the college comes under Ktu syllabus it has already has demerits of the university. Curriculum basically doesnot provide a realworld application uses. Just creates a knowledge on the course (and thats doubt) We need to courses outside the college to get the core jobs outside

The college provides a good atmosphere to truly get a job in the competetive world if we are willing to work for it.
They heavily monitor attendance to make sure that you take your classes so that you perform well in your exams
The facilities provided by the college are good as there are several labs and workshops for hands-on experience

Dislikes

The campus life can get boring and it feels like we are in a rat race.
Some teachers can be a bit apathetic towards the students.
The number events that encourage social interactions in not many

Placement Experience:

The students are elegible for campus placements from the 7th semester and almost all students get placements provided they don't have any subject yet to clear at the time of placement. There are several companies that visit the college for recruiting including but not limited to TCS, CTS,etc,.

The campus is a package pf greenery and the culteral events conducted there are good at the end
The faculties are good and maintain a decent teaching style
The sports activities are well maintained here

Dislikes

The hostel mess and the food is a bit not good from my opinion
The hostel doesn't have adequate wifi to accommodate the entire strength of students residing there

Yes the college is providing placement facilities and the College has its own placement and industrial relations wing that is said to study about the current industrial requirements and provide the adequate amount of training for the students

These companies provide placement for all the branches of the college. 90 percent of the students get placements. I prefer to go for higher studies after getting the degree.

I chose this college because of strong reputation , good placements and quality of education. Life at NITC by Vimosh Kumar

I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college.
