Remarks

The overall curriculum of the college is good. DBS always complies with rules and code of conduct and that's the reason why everyone here sticks to the disciplinary code of conduct, be it dress code or the conduct of students in class or anywhere in campus.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course i.e. PGDM is good. It is an autonomous course approved by AICTE. And IIMs also conduct the same course. It provides you greater industrial exposure in comparison to other management courses.

Internships Opportunities

Yes the college provides internship to each and every student. Every student goes through the internship placement drive. Companies from all over the country are part of this placement drive. Which provides PAN India opportunities to the students and handsome stipend.

Placement Experience

As already mentioned above, placement drive is conducted and companies from all over the country and even foreign subsidiaries participate in these drives. Students sit for the selection process as per the company criterias and get selected.

College Events

Every festival is celebrated with all zeal. There is annual manfest, utsav, sports day and many more events. There are other events like celebrity night, prom night, Halloween, Dandiya, Ramleela, Beauty pageant, modelling etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible in comparison to other colleges offering PGDM. Divided into 6 Semesters.There are also several scholarships being offered by the college and fee concessions to the girls and domiciles. It is one of the reasons why many students choose Doon Business School for PGDM.

Fees and Financial Aid

As I told girls are given 10% discount in fee. Also any domicile of Uttarakhand is also given a discount of 10% Students scoring above 95% in MAT would get a scholarship discount in the fee. Which would be applicable in every semester if the student is able to score above 60%.

Campus Life

For every co curricular activity there is a club. Like sports club, drama club, music club, dance club, rotract club, tours and travel club. These clubs keep on organising events in the college. And the organizers include students who are part of these clubs.

Hostel Facilities

I don't stay in the hostel but it appears to be good. From the coming year hostel would be compulsory for PGDM students who would take admission in Doon Business School. The hostel is available for both boys and girls and has wifi connectivity.

External Expense: Rs.7000 - Rs.10000

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni visit the campus regularly and their contests are great help to the college placement opportunities. As they have their contacts with the industry people. Alumni meet is organised to make them interact with their juniors.

Exam Structure

The 2 year PGDM course is divided into 6 Semester. That means 3 semester each year. There is end term exam for external assessment and mid term exam for internal assessment also the co curricular activities and class performance are part of internal assessment. All these together formulate the semester scorecard of the student.

Admission

I opted for PGDM. For this course you need to qualify any management entrance exam like CAT/MAT/XAT etc. Later go to college website and fill the information form. You will receive a call regarding the further procedure which basically includes your GD/PI and later documentation process.

Faculty

Faculty is excellent. They always try to groom their students in every manner. They try hard to organise interaction programmes between the students and the industry. They promote learning by doing. Moreover they are caring, friendly and very supportive.

i liked my campus life especially the academic activities in which we were participated , commercio fista was organised by mba students where we installed our own lil shops in the campus and earned
we went for the industrial visits like mother dairy delhi, SEBI noida, KPMG and our batch got so much industrial exposue in my time
Our classes was full air conditioned and for mba students we have sepration seminar hall also we have incubation cell for the new start ups

Dislikes

strict rules for attendance, it should be 75 percent or above

i have done my graduation in 2024, in my 3rd semester placement was started that time our tpo was rajvardhan sir , i called so many companied in the campus for the placement finastra was one of then, i have cleared 3 rounds of finastra 1st was apptitude, then technical round then PI with HR in delhi office in feb 2024 i have got my offer letter and then july i have joined finastra just after my final exams got over, RIT and expecially members of placement are very proactive about their work , after 1 year in 2025 i went again in rit for the alumni meet my experience in rit was very good

I came to RIT Roorkee from Bihar for my MBA and I want to write this review specifically for students from Bihar and UP

Likes

The campus environment is good and you get students from different places, so you get a chance to interact with people outside your home state.
Faculty support can be good, especially when you are regular with your studies and approach them when you need help.
For parents from Bihar, having accommodation within/around the campus can make the transition easier.

Dislikes

Hostel and college rules can feel strict for students who want a lot of freedom.
You will need to put in your own effort for coding, communication skills, internships and other career preparation. The college alone cannot guarantee a good career.
The environment is fairly structured, which can be helpful if you want to stay focused on your studies.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at Roorkee Institute of Technology are quite diverse, with a dedicated Training and Placement Cell that supports students through resume building, mock interviews, career guidance and recruitment drives. According to the institute’s current placement information, the 2026 batch has recorded placements across different sectors, with an average package of around ₹8 LPA and the highest package of ₹22 LPA. the cousse curriculum is well structured and cover both foundational theories and practical concept. which was key reason for choosing this program. it provides a solid acedemic base for higher studies and includes case studies and group projects that help bridge the gap toward real world application. however there is still room for improvement in increasing hands on in increasing hand on industry explosure moder tool integreation and practical workshop rather than leaning primarily on conventional textbook learning

My experience so far at DBS

Likes

really like the well maintained infrastructure and classes
the practical exposure that is being provided to students
redressal cells that caters to the needs and wants of the students

Dislikes

the dress code is followed strictly throughout the week
early classes makes it difficult to attend sometimes

Placement Experience:

third semester students are eligible to sit for placements. a lot of companies have visited the campus like HCL, tech mahindra, ICICI bank, infosys etc. the highest package went up to 40 LPA in the digital marketing role whereas avg package was 8.7 LPA . around 95% students were placed on campus. I personally want to pursue PHD side by side after completing my mba from here.

A Balanced MBA experience with Good Campus Life and Industry Exposure at UPES

One of the best thing about the college is its green and well mainatained infrastructure. The campus is surrounded by nature creating a peaceful and positive learning environment.

Placement Experience:

Placement at UPES are decent and students generally become eligible for campus placement from the final year. Companies from different sectors visit the campus for recruitment, offering roles in management, logistics and consulting.

Holistic Review of MBA at IIM Kashipur

Likes

It's a student run campus which means that important decisions regarding students are taken by the student bodies.
The campus is beautiful and lush. The architecture of buildings are well though of made to keep buildings cool during summers and hot during winters.
The campus is very happening. Several cultural events occur.

Dislikes

As the town Kashipur is not very developed, there is not much of metro-city life or such amenities
The boys to girls ratio for core program is 4:1 and the opposite for the analytics program which makes the class interactions disproportionate, It should be uniform.
You can't order food from online platforms here as the city is remote so one has to resort to the options present on campus which turns out to be pretty limited in number and quality.

Placement Experience:

As soon as the second year starts, companies start coming for placements. These include ICICI bank, Wellsfargo, Genpact, Amazon, TresVista, Havells, TVS, Tech Mahindra etc. The highest package goes around to be 40-50 Lacs while average is around 14-15 Lacs. Almost all get placed while the rest opt-out from the process either for off-campus offers or pursuing higher education.

Distance Learning Arm of UPES

Admission:

I applied for the college by filling in the detailed application form on the official website. I give the CAT exam but since I didn't got good score and I also had to continue my job I opted for a postgraduate diploma program from this university. UPES is a popular University in Uttarakhand and its distance learning arm offers variety of options in the diploma programme. After approval of my application I was asked to complete the admission formalities post which I got the admission in the program.

Great Learning Experience with Strong Industry Exposure.

I got in Ram lal Anand College of Delhi University but i personally feel that there are limited amount of resources in Govt. The reason for choosing this college is that it provides every facilities , specialisations and location of the college are excellent with an affordable price, all the money worths here. I have applied to UPES as well but after I saw it's fees I opted out myself, it was not because I couldn't afford it but the curriculum there was not good at all and their placements are not satisfactory considering the fees they are charging.
