Likes

The architect of AMU is really attractive
Amu is a very known university over india.
Amu is very Affordable in terms of fees.

Dislikes

The prosess of results and administration are very slow
The food in mess is affordable and healthy but not very tasty
Some teachers have very bad attitude towards students

Course Curriculum Overview

I personally choose this course because of this course is very practical but I would say that they should do that co education for the better interaction We get 2 hr for the end semester exams which is of moderate level

Class Size: 34Course Fees: INR 18000 per year

Internships Opportunities

We get many opportunities for internship under a good internship programs with a good amount of money but most of the people apply for internships by themselves for cold emails they are not dependent on the university

Placement Experience

From 1st semester itself we can do internship but we got placement in 6th semester and the average package is 200000-300000 per annum in good companys and most of the students get placed after I'll be pursuing for higher education after this

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fees is approx 18000 and the hostel is also included we have many scholarships like up scholarship, amu welfare society scholarships etc and the fees is very affordable and it doesn't increase over years

Campus Life

We had annual poly fest and many technical festivals also in every 3-4 months we have one of the biggest library in Asia maulana azzad library we have most of the sports in university And we had many clubs like drama, music etc

Hostel Facilities

We get free washroom access and hot water And the quality of food is good and menu of mess is really good and hostal is very affordable and clean but if you want you can rent a room or pg near University

Hostel Fee: INR 1500 per year

Admission

I also applied in JMI and also I got admission in JMI but I prefer AMU because of the safety and hostal we get in AMU and also I have some personal reasons but AMU has its own history and historical places

Faculty

The faculty of our diploma is very well qualified and most of thems are PHD holders from IIT Delhi and NITs and the teachers are very interactive we follow the semester system we have exams 2 time in a semester with moderate level

Night Life

We have free gym access and we have cafeteria, public areas till 2-3 pm at night we have many places to hangout like chungi and zakariya which opens till 24/7 and the famous is tea and it's very safe to rome around at night

A Good Overall College Experience

Likes

The teaching is good, and the practical sessions help in understanding the concepts better. The faculty members are well qualified, friendly, and approachable whenever students need help.
The university organizes various activities and events, which keeps campus life active and engaging. Students get opportunities to participate in different activities beyond academics.
The university has the necessary laboratories and facilities for practical learning, especially for students pursuing technical courses like Civil Engineering.

Dislikes

Although the required infrastructure and laboratories are available, the maintenance of some buildings and facilities could be improved.
The hostel provides the basic facilities, but areas such as maintenance, cleanliness, food, and overall management could be improve
I have not reached the placement stage yet, so I cannot personally evaluate the placement process. More detailed and transparent information about placement opportunities, companies, packages, and outcomes would be helpful for students

Placement Experience:

I have not reached the placement stage yet, so I cannot give personal information about the companies visiting, packages, or the percentage of students getting placed. I have heard that placement opportunities are available for diploma students, but I cannot personally verify the placement statistics yet. My main plan after completing my Diploma in Civil Engineering is to pursue a B.Tech in Civil Engineering. Because of this, I am currently more focused on building my technical knowledge and practical skills during the diploma rather than immediately joining a company after graduation.

A Glimpse of Life in Aligarh Muslim University

I chose this college mainly because of the less fees structure and the greenary campus , a good place to study. Moreover, I'm preparing for govt exams also, so the time needed during M.tech. is enough to focus on exams too. Also, I don't want any gap between the study and job as we have to justify later during interview (the year gaps , if any). Moreover , lot of opportunities are also possible in foreign countries too , and we are also eligible for Assistant professor post (if any). I applied for Jamia Millia Islamia too , but was in waiting list , so i decided to join Aligarh Muslim University and I'm grateful that i did so....Read More

M.Ed. in Aligarh Muslim University

I applied for this college only. Highly affordable fee of course and hostel fee. Hostel provides us so many facilities in a very basic pay of 1500 per month including mess and other things. For m.ed we have to prepare for an entrance test. Forms of amu m.ed are generally out during january- march period. The paper is of 100 marks, only mcq, based on core papers of b.ed. the cutoff is around 55+ for general+external candidate and 40+ for internal. The admission process is smooth and easy. We have to check the official website and everything is online, both counselling and admission . The hostel is alotted directly during the admission....Read More
