- Faculty is very good in all the Departments. and teacher have good interaction with students.
- campus wise college is good and you will find greenery in college which makes it peacefull.
- various socities are their which conducts events ,and being a part of various societies help us to make networking.
Dislikes
- There is no sports for girls they must add some sports for girls too like badminton and volleyball.
- There is no financial aid for those who reside outside of delhi.
Course Curriculum Overview
Rating :8/10 The curriculum for the Bcom (hons) course at Shyam lal college ,which follows the guideline of university of delhi,is highly relevant and comprehensive .it covers a broad spectrum subjects in commerce ,finance and management. The course provides a good theoritical knowledge but the scope for real world application can be improved. internship opportunities and campus exposure help students engage with industry pratices.
Internships Opportunities
SLC offers a range of internship opportunities for students across disciplines,through the Training and development cell. It organises its internship fair every year in the month of februrary and through this various students get their internship in various roles at various companies. Here the Internship offeredin various domain such as marketing,finance, HR,digital marketing etc. various consulting firms ,NGOs and Ed tech companies do visit the campus during internship fair.
Fees and Financial Aid
1st year fees 23500 ,2nd year fees 24500,3rd year fees 25000,4th year fees 25000(approx) but might increase acoordingly. yes the college provides scholarships like fees concession for those whose income is less than 4,00,00 and various scholarship which are mentioned on their college website.
Campus Life
Shyam Lal college fosters a vibrant social atmosphere where students actively engege in academic and extracuricullar interactions.The campus environment is inclusive, promoting a balance between studies and student life. SLC offers various student socities and clubs catering to academic,culutral,and professional development. such as Commblaze,dramatic society and music society ,debatind and literary socities.
Admission
I gave CUET exam and accordinly filled the preference sheet as per my course preference and college . luckily i got my preferd course and college also. Shyam Lal college is good as other colleges in terms of academics but main thing is it lacks in placement opportunities.so we have other options too like offcampus placement .
Faculty
The class strength is 60 students in each class. The faculty here is very good,they interact with the students and solve their doubts. Also along with the main the core subject we get AEC,SEC and VAC. we can choose any subject in sec and vac and study accordinly.
Night Life
SLC being a part of university of delhi amd located in shahdara ,doesnt have on campus nightlife culture like residential universities. however students looking for nightlifeoptions often explore nearby areas.
