Course Curriculum Overview

5

Our course structure is planned brilliantly. Every semester is amazing with very interesting topics. First year is regular topics, but second year onwards is insane. The topics are Computer Science integrated with maths which gives a heavy scope. Exam difficulty is medium, but frequency is manageable and well spaced.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly 1,25000 no increase every year Mess fees is 180000. For 3 months Hostel is 30000 per semester No lab fees mentioned but maybe included in one or the other fee split Other categories had lesser fees but they were not comfortable sharing . One category called Dasa has around 6,00,000 but the split is not mentioned There are several scholarships for the people fit for the categories and for few branches the topper gets a scholarship.

Campus Life

4

My whole campus life so far has been amazing. I made amazing friends and the connections I made extend from the entire of India to even outside India within a year. My knowledge space expanded and also I understood my competition. Sports facilities are average should improve. We have 2 basketball courts,3 badminton courts, 8-10 gyms, volleyball ball courts are 3, kabaddi court, kho kho court, 2 tennis courts. We have food street for meeting friends and time square. Several small eateries and 4 messes.we have one department store which has everything you need from toiletries to snacks to stationeries. We have an IG building morivating innovations and startups. We have many clubs but they are competitive to get in.Few are Ldc, misfits, b-club,180dc,Music club, 4 dance clubs etc.Classroms are good with a smart board and a black board. They are well lit and pretty nice. Our library is good for studying, many books are also there but quite a small library. We have 2 tests every year- technical fest technozian which is ok but it's a nice fun event. Our main fest is our cultural fest which is amazing but still needs to be given more budget.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel facility is good. First year hostel is the best hostel called 1.8k which is of 9floors making it a lot of fun.in each room, there is a table, chair, cot and a cupboard. Each room is twin sharing(as in two people) but there is option of single room. Cupboard needs to be shared. Washrooms are ok( average hostel types) with 3 western comodes and 4 Indian toilets. Bathing space is nice. No geyser so it is very cold water.Several pgs are present outside. But I suggest living in hostel cuz it's very fun and a great experience. Meal quality is ok but I haven't liked the portions they give..the servers deny us extra sometimes and the taste is not constant. Sometimes it is gud sometimes bad. Overall mess isn't the best but it isn't the worst. We get both south and North Indian food. Sometimes sweets as well. We have a paid juice centre in mess as well, but it's also decent and not worth the price.

Admission

Nit Warangal honestly was not my first choice, but I am glad that it is now. Yes, I could not get into Suratkal or trichy choice of branch because of my rank, but I do not regret joining Warangal because it has been a nice experience so far. Admission process is through jee mains only, but counselling can be josaa, dasa or even csab.

Faculty

4

In maths department faculty to student ratio is very good because lesser number of students. Faculty is very approachable and amicable except a few stingy ones. Few faculties I liked are Pranitha, A Banerjee babu, Dutta etc. our exam structure is different. No midsems but we have two minors instead each 15marks. And one endsem for 40marks. We have two assessments each 10marks. One bad remark is that we have marks for attendance- 10marks.

Night Life

3

Our college is very strict with end time of gate so we can't go outside campus after 11. Inside campus from second year we can hang out late at night or throughout the night but only within campus. But not many activities as all shops and food eateries are closed except one- country oven which also closes at around 2. It is safe to roam around as security is there almost everywhere. Hostel in time is 10 for girls and 12 for boys but only in first year. Second year onwards we are free within the campus( as in no in time). Mess timings are 7-9 for breakfast, 12-2 for lunch and 7-9 for dinner. Weekends breakfast and lunch are delayed by 30mins, as in breakfast is 7:30-9:30 and lunch is 12:30 to 2:30 but dinner remains the same.gym- every hostel has one gym, 1.8k has 3 gyms and main gym is of 2 floors. Facilities are average and it smells a lot. But it is a decent gym. Eateries in campus include dominos, Amul shop for dairy items, country oven which is a bakery, Kathi toll junction etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement Experience:

The placements are comparatively more in this college, as there is more industry exposure. Students are eligible for placements from around 3-2 (3rd yr-II sem) to 4-2 (4th yr- II sem). Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, NCR often visit the campus. The highest package offered last year was 1.2 cr (International offer). Around 90% students who were eligible got placement. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
