MY COLLEGE REVIEW

Actually i loved my college a lot. even though i had some very difficult moments also. But all in all it was a beautiful time of my life. Especially if u r of CSE or IT branch go for it. you will love most things about the college. and the wonderful weather of dehradun and mussourie doesn`t harm does it ?

The subjects we had in my course was actually very decent. In first year we had basics subject such as physics, chemistry, maths etc and also some fundamentals computer programming subject such as C,C++, java. then in the further years we had more of the advanced subjects.

there are very rare cases of any companies to provide internship from our college. A very few of them do but all in all you have to find your internship by yourself in 3rd year. In 4th year on placement time there are several companies that provide internship oppurtunity.

I am a CS student and i must say that placement and job oppurtunities for our branch is immense. Almost 80 to 85 percent of CSE and IT branch student got jobs and internships. and some of the companies that came was very good. There were MNCs and startups that came for interview in our college. But i cannot say the same for other branches.

We had some events yearly. Spurti is one of those. it is the annual sports event in our college. Though it doesn`t have that proper arrangements etc that you would expect from a college and i would take a step and say my school`s Sports tournament had more quality. Then the annual event Youthopia. IT IS ALSO NOT UPTO THE MARK TO BE FAIR BUT DECENT ENOUGH.

fee is actually very expensive in terms of the qualities they provide. Especially for the students who doesnt have uttarakhand domain. But the fees is expensive everywhere, then if u compare to other colleges then it doesnt look that bad. but still you wont feel like getting the worth for the money.

They provide 40% off in tution fees for Uttarakhand students. Also they award the toppers of every branch with very healthy amount. I m not sure about the loan facility, and i dont think they provide any kind of scholorship apart form the one i described.

The labs in our colleges are decent but not very good. As for sports it is not even average. It doesn1t have any football, cricket ground out there. We had to got to 7 km far for football practice. But all in all there are many clubs which provide all kind of extracullicular activities out there.

I actually never lived in hostel of DIT. but many of my friends did. and there were mixed reaction about the infrastructure. Many of them said that it was not worth the money they are paying for the same. and almost all of them were criticising the dinner provided by them.

There is always two sides of any coin. There are some senior students who are very good and will make you feel at ease at once. But there were so many of them who were very egoistic and used to bully their juniors. Especially the DC members, they acted like illiterate guys.

We generally had two exams viz., mid-term and semester. Mid-term were of 2 hours and Semester was of 3 hours. The total marks concluded of the Quizes marks, Practical marks etc., The exam structure is very good and actualy very transparent.

firstly, they selected the students to their desired branches via their JEE mains score. Then they selected students on the basis of their twelfth grades. I was selected on the basis of later. It was a long process as we had to wait for a long time.
