Remarks
I love my college and this is the best college for me.Yes there is very flaws,like our college campus is small,some improvement needed in some departments etc.I hope that can be solved in near future.
Entrance Preview
I got admitted in this college by scoring in west bengal joint entrance examination,through e- counselling process.my rank was 4768.i want to be an engineer and that's why i opt for this college,as it is one of the best college in west bengal.
Course Curriculum Overview
I am studying information technology in my college.The faculty is very good and the standard of education is great in our college.The teachers are very interactive,they helps us in many things.The teaching process are more like in an interactive way.
Internships Opportunities
Tcs,ibm,cts,wipro etc came in our college and arranged internship for us.they basically pay around 3000-5000 as stipend during their training period.I am studying in 3rd year after completing my 6th sem,i will apply for internship.
Placement Experience
The placement scenario is very good in our college.many reputed it companies like cts,capgemini,tcs,wipro,tech mahendra etc came and they offered approx 3-5 lakh/annum package.Around 70% student got placed in previous year.
College Events
Many cultural events were celebrated in our college. Freshers welcome and fest is mainly two programmes the college famous for.Many students from outside college also came to participate in fest.3rd year students are the main organizer of this event.Apart from fest there are saraswati puja,biswakarma puja,teachers day,independence which are celebrated joyfully.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure of my college is very low as it is a govt college.in one semester we have to submit 6000 rupees for sem fees and in 1st year we have submitted 5880 rupees as one time caution money.apart from these 500 rupees were taken as examination fees in each semester.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are many scholarship which offerded by our college.I availed wbfs which mean full fee concession for those students who's family income was 2.5 lakh/annum.
Campus Life
The college life is very astonishing for me,the seniors,juniors are very interactive with me.there is no ragging in our college.We organized android workshops and robotic workshops in our college.There is a playgrond where we play football,cricket.a common room is there where we enjoyed our tiffen periods with our friends.
Hostel Facilities
I would rate my hostel 15 out of 10.Because all the facilities of hostel is great.I share my room with a friend.my monthly rent is 1500 only includind food.The hostel is very neat and clean,and the food served here is also great.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumina network in our college is very strong.Alumina association organizes various industry related workshops.our oraganization is called gcect alumini.Every passed out senior is a member of it.they helped in placements.And senior students are also very good,they have their way of teaching us for our studies,which helped me a lot.
Exam Structure
There are two semester in one academic year.in each semester there is 6 month gap.in each semester one subject contains 100 marks,70 marks for wriiten sem exam and 30 marks including two internal test and one assignment programme.
