Review of MBM University by KARAN

I choose this BE in CSE solely because of my interest in tech related fields. Yes the curriculum prepares you very well for real world applications or further academic pursuits if you do and learn the knowledge properly. The frequency of exams is very good as they are 3 exams in a semester, 2 mid terms and 1 semester or final paper and they are not so difficult one can gain good marks and perform very well if covers the full syllabus and attend all lectures.

If we see the internships stats, so about 60% of students got selected for internships, and some also got selected at DRDO for internship. The roles moslty offered by companies here are those of software engineer or assistant software engineer.

So, I am a CSE undergrad at MBM University of batch 28'. The overal placement stats here in MBM in average, with an average pacakage of 5-6 lpa. If I talk about the package of CSE Branch, it's overall average too, with an average package of 5-6 lpa and a median package of 6 lpa, and the highest package offered by comapnies here is 10 lpa in CSE Branch. Mass recruiting comapnies like TCS and Wipro also come here and dream companies like Adobe

So, the total fees of MBM University is around 1.96 lakh for all four years. Yearwise it is divided into semester so the fees for full year including 1st and 2nd semester is around 48k ruppees and it is subdivided into 28k for 1st sem and 20k for 2nd sem. and this fee is of my branch which is Computer science and engineering the fees can be vary according to branch. The 28k ruppees which is fees of 1st sem. categorised into Caution money-7.5k.

As you all know, it is a state government college, so it has the infrastructure accordingly, the LTH Block where 1st year classes are held, is in very poor condition, as its rooms don't even have fans and lights, so it needs serious renovation. But if i talk about my department (CSE), it is one of the best departments along with chemical department. It has all the basic facilites, like air conditioned and is very well equipped with good wi-fi speed computer labs with all basic need fulfilled.

As I am a hosteler so i can say that the hostels of college are in below-average condition; they need renovation, but they're manageable. The quality of food in the mess is of average quality and eatable but the mess doesn't have enough sitting capacity for students, but the students here in the hostel are approximately 150.

I choose this college over the other colleges i applied to because of the reputation it holds among other colleges as it establishes way back in 1951 so it is an old college and it has very good status among other colleges. I cant make it to other colleges like some NITs because of my low rank in jee mains and low score in jee advance. One can be alotted this college by filling REAP form and can be alotted on merit base as per score of jee and 12 grade. and other methods include spot rounds and for lateral entry LEAP form can be filled.

If I talk about the faculty of this college, I must say that then faculty here is very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Their quality of teaching is very good and understandable, as they are quite helpful and very well qualified. The faculty to student ratio is generally 1:60. There are three exams are conducted per semester wise mid term 1 , mid term 2, and final paper or say semester paper, they are easy to clear if a student attend regular classes and cover the syllabus in time so he\she can attain very good cgpa.

You all may not know but for your kind information the hostel is outside the campus area of the college like 1 km far from the campus area so there is no night life in the college campus but yes there are many places and shops outside the hostel area where one can hangout with friends and all. There is gymnasium in our college too and central library with others libraries for respective departmetns.
