Course Curriculum Overview

4

The Computer Engineering course contains a lot basic concepts that are required for this course. But it does lack emphasis on newer developments in tech sector. The real-world usefulness of the curriculum cannot be accurately verified yet as I am yet to graduate. Semester Exams are conducted every 4-5 months and are moderately difficult.

Internships Opportunities

4

Internships offered via college are mostly NASDAQ and other government venture related. The internships offered are based on multiple different niches like Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, and Cryptocurrency.

Placement Experience

4

Students are eligible to apply for placements from the seventh semester. Many Mass recruiters offer jobs to students in our college, some of them being- TCS, Cognizant, Accenture, ICICI Lombard and Capgemini Ai. The average package offered is a around 6LPA and usually the highest package is about 12LPA. Around 65-80% of the students get placed directly from college. I plan to pursue a career in my field after graduation.

Fees and Financial Aid

My annual tution fees is ?1,75,000. Other than tution fees we charged for exam fees. Scholarships and deductions in fees are available to students from places like Tamil Nadu and J&K and are provided by their respective State governments. I personally wasn't eligible for any scholarship so I am not familiar with the details of this scheme.

Campus Life

4

The college annual fest is called Bharatiyam and generally takes place over a duration of multiple days every year in February or March. The library boasts of a vast collection of books and journals relevant to our field and also literature. The college offers activities and training in multiple sports like cricket, football, kabaddi, volleyball etc. The college has multiple student clubs that promote engineering, arts as well as entrepreneurship.

Admission

Other colleges I applied to were MIT Pune and Symbiosis Institute of Technology. I couldn't get into MIT because I couldn't clear there entrance test. The tution fees at Symbiosis is higher but is not on par with the quality of their education. To apply for admission in my college, I had to appear in the college's own entrance exam known as BVP-CET. Courses are allotted to students on the basis of rank in said entrance exam.

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio is about 1:30. Most faculty members are very friendly and approachable. They are helpful when the students are facing any issue. The exams have moderate level difficulty and most students pass without any problems. The course curriculum is fairly relevant but needs to be updated.

Night Life

4

The college campus has a gymnasium that is available to students at an affordable cost. The college cafeteria, library and podium are common places for students to hangout. The locality is generally safe to roam at night.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
