Course Curriculum Overview
I am a current student of BTech. IT branch. I have completed my first year and till now I must say the course curriculum is balanced. The course for all branch is common for 1st year and then it is divided on basis of branch. The course for IT is well balanced as per the need of IT industry. There is not much difference on course structure of CSE & IT except from 6th semester. The exam pattern for a semester is here- Mid semester examination after 1 month of commencement of semester and and an end semester examination after around 5-6 months of commencement. The exam is totally based on what is taught on class and nothing outside the syllabus.
Placement Experience
The placement for CSE/IT/ETC is quite good. Though the college claims for 100% placement but that might not be true. But still if you work hard and get a good resume to present, then you might get a good offer. Some students gets multiple offer too. The average package is fine here. But the placement for other branches like Mechanical,Civil, etc are not good.
College Events
We have an yearly college fest. Many cultural activities are also conducted regularly in the college. KIIT MUN is also organized every year. Apart from this, there are various students society which conducts debates, drama, technical events, etc. You will get various opportunity here to explore.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee is very much expensive here, with a total of about 16 lakhs(approx) for 4 years. The fees may vary based on hostel type. But the overall fees is too expensive. They also charge registration and examination fees apart from semester fees.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is no scholarship given by college. The college will take full fees. But if your rank in KIITEE is below 500,then they have certain free waiver scheme for you. You can take loan from any bank for your course.
Campus Life
The college has a good lab with proper fascility. They also conduct various sports activities like cricket, football, volleyball, basketball, etc. College also has gyms and sport complex for indoor games. College promotes various seminar and extracurricular activities for students.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is quite fine but not as per expectations. There are options available for AC/NON AC with double/ triple occupancy but no single occupancy available. There is wifi available on hostel. Mess fascility is also available here.
Alumni/Alumna
The seniors are helpful if you seek for their help. The college has a vast alumni network with students placed in various MNCs worldwide. One can take help from seniors whenever they wish as seniors are always ready to help.
Admission
The admission is based on the rank obtained through the entrance examination KIITEE. It is an online exam which tests Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics. During the counseling, the branch is given on the basis of rank obtained in KIITEE.
