i love my college. all the faculties are nice. they teach mein a very good way that I can understand engineering basics and go deep into it college help me find my passion for applied electronics and instrumentation engineering.

Course Curriculum Overview

the course curriculum is based on WBUT. the college is affiliated with AICTE .it follows the West Bengal board of universities curriculum for engineering the first year colleg curriculum is all the same for all branches and from third semester the syllabus gate divided. the exam structures are also followed by West Bengal engineering board.

Placement Experience

yes college to provide internship opportunities and job opportunities we have a placement over 60% in all the branches does the average percentage of placement last year ago from computer science engineering got a package of 27 lacs so the placement in this college is very good.

College Events

the college celebrates all the major festivals and curriculum activities we celebrate Saraswati Puja Vishwakarma puja and we also have holidays every year we celebrate for the first years a cultural and music function we also a book club our cloud has a music band and it also have a quiz and debate club.

Fee Structure And Facilities

the fee structure of this college is very expensive it is about 4 to 4.5 lacs. for 4 years at first we have to pay 38 and 33 thousand rupees for the first year only they also have 5 they also take 5000 rupees for dresses and for the each semester take around 45000 rupees and exams fees are not included

is the college also helps to provide educational loans and various types of loans with the help of certain banks they also provide various offers and low cost EMI for loans college faculty also helps to provide the details and necessary paper works for the Loan college helps a lot.

Campus Life

you have mini labs which are all well preserved and well condition and all labs are AC computer labs are great we have microprocessor mu processor lab robotics lab chemistry lab physics lab all around we have a basketball court and tennis court also our college participates in various cricket and football tournaments and basketball tournaments.

Hostel Facilities

I don't take for hostel but the college have a very good hostel facility for boys and girls both the college provide hostels for around 4000 rupees for a month and the equality of the hostel is very good the atmosphere is very pleasant and student friendly.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Illuminate work was very good and the students and seniors of the colleges are very helpful they provide books and necessary study materials for marks in exam. they help us in various ways for studying and for finding teachers for our self.

Admission

I get admission in applied electronics and instrumentation by West Bengal joint entrance examination counselling. I had a rank about 46000 in the first counselling round I opt for applied electronics and instrumentation in techno India international Newtown.

the faculty of the college are very good they help a lot . they are well qualified and they are very nice behaviour they help students as well . the electrical department is kind of so so but other than the electrical department all departments are very good and faculties are best in the town.

Supportive Faculty - The professors are highly qualified, approachable and always willing to help students
Free wifi support - There are free wifi support for both student and faculty
Fee Structure - It is very affordable and low compared to other colleges in the region

Dislikes

Placement support is below average, and most studnets have to apply for off campus jobs independently, which is really pathetic in the era of ai where getting a job as a fresher is so difficult
There is no dedicated support or placment cell initiative to help studnets land meaningful summer internships or any kind of internships

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements starting from the 7th semester. For placement drives, we have to visit the main campus, Techno Main Salt Lake (TMSL). Since students from other Techno India campuses and branches also participate, the competition is extremely high. In the 2025–2026 academic year, fewer companies visited. Only two companies, Dronahost and WishCare, visited our specific campus directly. The remaining drives—mostly service-based companies like TCS and EY, along with a few startups—were conducted at the main campus. The remaining drives mostly service based companies like TCS, EY etc and quite a few startups has visited to main campus. The package they offered mostly in between 3.5lpa - 6 lpa. Furthermore the selection process of those startups is quite rigorous often consisting of upto 5 rounds of interview, two technical rounds with two technical interviews, and HR round My plans after getting the degree is either pursue an MBA or preparing for govt jobs

I liked the campus . Their people and faculties are too great , they are also helpfull

Bad benches , like benches are too small to be fitted in our class I

The infrastructure of the college is good.I would consider the college as very clean.
The campus life is pretty good but there are strict instructions to freshers to not roam in the campus.

Dislikes

I disliked the condition of the bathroom and the corridor on the first day.
My hostel room was very filthy.The workers charges ₹100 for cleaning it

From 4th year students become eligible for placements.Google, Microsoft,Gold Man Sacks, Apple were some of the companies that visited NIT Durgapur For placement regard.The highest package was 80lpa and the average package was 13 lpa.Total of 83% students got placed.The placement is quite good.

The faculty are well taught and the campus is very beautiful . The buildings are like newly bulid . and the campus is very clean.
In our branch the boys and girls ratio is almost 16:11.
The senior behave like a friend and they help us a lot and they also very supportive.

Dislikes

The college campus is too small compare to other colleges.
The college classes are not regularly held and the attendance system is not very good.
The classes are very boing and sometime it feels like aa school and the labs are not held timely.

Placement Experience:

our college average package is 600000 per Anum and highest package is 1800000 per Anum according to recent data. and 80% of student got placed . And wipro , windows, tcs , siemens , tata like companies come to our college for placement. Core students are also got placed but many of them goes for hihger studies.

Likes

One of the best things about my college is all the classrooms and labs are fully air conditioned. The classrooms, labs and even the toilets are cleaned regularly, which really helps to create a comfortable learning environment.
All the clubs of the college remain active all the time no matter whether it's technical clubs or fest related clubs like fun events domain, etc.
The most important thing is that the college is entirely ragging -free. College also maintains a healthy girls to boys ratio.

Dislikes

The classrooms are quite compact compared to the number of students in each class . At times it feels overcrowded and a bit uncomfortable during lectures.
Some of the faculty members are relatively inexperienced. It often feels like they don't have full command over the subject they're teaching, which can affect the overall understanding of important concepts.
Another issue I've noticed is the irregularity in certain subject classes. Not all subjects are taught consistently every semester , and there are high chances of some classes getting missed or not scheduled properly.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible to sit for placements form 7 th semester that is from the beginning of final year. Usually the service based companies come here with cgpa criteria and offer jobs to students.

Likes

Ragging free campus. Strict action are taken against those who found guilty.
Classrooms are well equipped and are spacious.
There are many fun events that happen in the college

Dislikes

The campus area is too small. The library is not good
The societies are fully controlled by students so huge partiality goes on.
Some of the teachers are mean and are not good.

Placement Experience:

From the 3rd year onwards , students become eligible for internships and stepping in 4th yr , students get eligible for campus placement. Techno provides decent campus placements according to your marks. Good marks also with skills get you better salary. Minimum 7.5 cgpa is mandatory to have you sit for campus placements. The lowest package is 3.4 LPA and highest vary but students also get 14LPA easily. Wipro, tcs ,cap ,gemini, amazon , ibm etc.

Excelent Campus-techno india university has a large campus with excelent facilities such as libraries,labs,seminar halls etc. Some students finds this facilitries useful
Funs and Events-techno india university provides a vibrant campus life with events that span a wide range of interests

Time Management-the one thing that I disliked was their time management.They dont provide a proper shedule for exams,routines etc
Teaching Methods-some students feels that cirtain teaching methods(like a focus on lecture without without interactive learning or industry exposure) must be improved

Plans after getting the degree: My plans depends on placement.If I get a job of around 15 LPA then I will not do master degree and if I get job of around 4-5 LPA then I will do master for further great opportunities

Well I had a drop year and I got this college at first round of counselling so took admission here. Apart from this I had appeared for exams of other colleges as well like Manipal, VIT, SRM but didn't choose them as those are far from home and were much more expensive than my current college. I had also appeared for BITS but couldn't clear their cutoff. In my current college they take direct admission based on wbjee rank, from counselling as well as management quota. I applied to a lot of colleges in India including BITS Pilani, symbiosis, ViT, KiT,and many other.. many colleges approved me as i cleared almost 90% of these college exams. But due to some family issues i couldn't leave Kolkata and had to choose this college as it is under makaut( Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad University) . It is a board. Techno international Newtown selects students based on WB jee or JEE marks. All India exams. The admission process is easy.. there are different cut off for different streams. Like Computer science engineering cut off is about 80.. like wise IT is 65, ECE 50 . And others below that.
