What Students Say

Likes

The good part is the location, it is situated in a region where IT companies are nearby, it also provide decent but pacakage to majority of students.
Quiet big campus life as compare to other private colleges.
Affordable fee structure as in 10 lakh whole btech is completed.

Dislikes

Infrastructure is really bad and the buildings looks very old , needs renewation.
The classes are non AC which creates a lot of problem in summers.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is not uptodated as this is an AKTU based college , so syllabus needs to be revised and should be made in such a way that it should realte to real field scenerio. Firstly the college should develop a competetive programming environment so that students gets excited and focus more on real thing rather than just academics.

Class Size: 75Course Fees: INR 12300075 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fee structure is 1 lakh 20 thousand for college fee and around 1 lakh for hostel and mess. Overall at the admission time the total fee was taken 2 lakh 50 thousand and yealy it is 1 lakh 20 thousand and around 1 lakh for mess and hostel, at the end of every semester 8 thousand is taken from aktu. Students apply for UP gov. scholarship and get around 60 to 1 lakh.

Campus Life

No annual festival is given is organised, but number of hackathons are done in campus to appreciate students competative programming skills. A big library is present which is accessible to each students. A big smart board is present in each classes, but no AC is present in the classes. There are many tech and non tech clubs runs by students where participation is done by interview.

Admission

I chose this college because AKGEC is considered one of the best colleges of AKTU and also because of its location. I even applies for JSS NOIDA but there I was getting ECE hence I got AKGEC. My rank was not enough to make it to CSE in JSS so I chose this college. The admission is done by AKTU councelling , in 6 normal round and for the rest of the seats last councelling is done.

Faculty

The faculties are quiet good , but focuces more on academics rather giving real fiels information. My branch is cseaiml so here the maths and DSA faculty are nice and chemistry and IOT faculty are average. The reason is that they only teach through ppt and doesn't apply real lide scenerio in it. 2 MSE exams are taken and 1 End semenser paper is taken from AKTU rest are internals and are quiet eay to score.

Night Life

This is one of the main concern , the girls are allowed only till 5 pm out of the hostel . The night life for boys is also not so good as anybody is only allowed till 8 at the night out of the campus. Being near to delhi, anyone can visit any delhi famous place in less than an hour.

“A Good College for Learning and Growth”

Likes

Being a CSE student I get the opportunity to learn about computer science and improve my skills The college experience also helps me understand the importance of practical knowledge

Dislikes

The placement support could be improved especially by providing more opportunities for students to get internships and jobs in reputed companies

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course covers important subjects related to computer science and programming. It gives basic technical knowledge, but more practical learning is needed. Exams are held every semester, along with internal tests and practicals. Some subjects are easy, while others need more preparation. Overall, the course is good, but adding more real-world projects would help students learn better.

"The Place for Unlocking Potential"

Likes

Firstly the environment is what I liked the most when I first joined the college cause this type of greenery and atmosphere is very less found
Secondly it would be the seniors , the seniors are really helpful at times of need and are really friendly
Thirdly it would be how the education system work , there isn't an overload of assignment or projects on the student , so it's very easy to focus on our studies

Dislikes

Personally it would be a long distance for me ...cause travelling by bus consumes a lot of time and energy
The thing I disliked the most would be the people around me and their way of thinking cause I just don't like the way they converse . I don't know about a few of them but most of the people I met are really sweet and soft spoken
Lastly it would be the fee structure for me ...cause being a private institution it can offer a more affordable fee structure

Course Curriculum Overview:

The reason I chose B. Tech in data science and artificial intelligence is because nowadays we know how AI has its influence over almost every field and every company requires a candidate who is well known about AI . Particularly I opted for data science because I wanted to be a data analyst from the start cause it just fascinates me about how differently we can see and arrange data in so many ways and also the market value of being a data analyst is quite high nd not easily found

More Information About AKGEC College

I got thus college through counselling and the top AKTU Affiliated colleges I opted to were JSS, AKGEC, ABES, from which I got ECE branch in AKGEC which I locked in the first round of counselling itself as I was satisfied with the college. The students could come through counselling or Cbse 12th percentage i.e management, counselling is done on JEE scores and 12th percentage should be more than 75-80% in PCM for unreserved prolly...Read More

Inside AKGEC Life

1) I had applied for colleges like jss noida,gl bajaj , kiet , akgec through UPTAC counselling for those who gave JEE Exam. i preferred this college because after reading reviews about it ,consulting senior students. 2) I could get this college based on my rank . I could not make it to other colleges because of their high cutoff for the CSE branch. 3) admission process includes direct admission where students are admiitted based on 10th,12th score and branches are alloted based on their score, 2nd is through the uptac counselling for students who want to get admission through JEE Score. overall admission experience was good....Read More

so bascially i didn't choose this college . i did mistake in my uptac counselling and get this college but when i studied here and seen all the aktu colleges i prefer this is good because it ranked 3 in up colleges .the college is ranked 3 in whole up and its naac A++ so yes its a great college so to get admission in akgec there are two ways by 10+2 percentage marks or by uptac counselling you have to fill your choices in uptac counselling so fill it very carefully without any mistake so the overall to get any cs/it branch your jee percentile should be above 88 and below that you can get any other core branches....Read More
