Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum is updated every single year to keep up with the latest technologies. Improvements will be made for the juniors based on seniors' exam results every year so that the next batch can have more time to cope up with the difficult subjects. Apart from regular semester exams, we have a project to do every semester where we need to apply our skills to a real world problem and solve it.

Internships Opportunities

5

Internships are offered through our University in our 3rd year. It is similar to placements, where we need a minimum adacemic score and attendance and need to sit for the interviews with various companies that vsit our University

Placement Experience

5

Highest placement 24 LPA, lowest placement 7LPA and average placement is 10LPA. Some of the companies that have visited our University are JTP and Centrific. The minimum requirement to sit for placements is to have an academic performance with 75% score.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fees for me was 17,30,000 fo 4 years after securing 50% scholarhsip. The scholarship is only offered on tution fees which 11 lakhs for 4 years. Annually, I pay 4,35,000 (including accodmodation, food and tution fees).

Campus Life

5

There are a lot of events happening in our University every year. We have more than 20+ clubs and each club hosts an event every month. Apart from that, we have a lot of other cultural events, small concerts, dance events and lot more. Overall, the campus is very lively with the amount of people and the events which keep happening extremely frequently. We have almost every single sport for students to play (including indoor and outdoor).

Hostel Facilities

5

There are currently 3 towers (with 14 floors in each tower) for boys and a lot of small buildings for girls (with around 5-6 floors in each building). The boys have triple sharing and girls have double sharing accomodation systye. The rooms are well maintaned and cleaned every alternate day, so hygiene is not an issue. The meal timings are as follows: Breakfast: 7-10 am Lunch: 12-3 pm Dinner: 7-10 pm Apart from this we have 4 cafes which and some of them are open till late night (upto 1 am).

Admission

Compared to the other local colleges present in Hyderabad, I have chosen Woxsen because of its course curriculum which is updated every year unlike other local colleges where the same thing is taught every single year irrespective of which batch of students it is.

Faculty

4

All the faculty, from first year to final year are very nice and polite. The first year faculty are very approachable and friendly and they solve every single issue of us. As we all are new to this kind of living experience, in your first year, there will be a "mentoring session" where one faculty is assigned per class and they tend to every single query you have, regardless if it is academic or non-academic.

Night Life

5

The night-life in campus is awesome. The place around the cafeteria is usually packed at night and you can see a lot of people walking on the road and/or sitting near the sports area and chilling. You are allowed to stay outside your hostel till 2 am. Regardless of that time, if the library is open 24/7, you can be in the library even after 2am (or all night, if you'd like to).

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement Experience:

The placements are comparatively more in this college, as there is more industry exposure. Students are eligible for placements from around 3-2 (3rd yr-II sem) to 4-2 (4th yr- II sem). Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, NCR often visit the campus. The highest package offered last year was 1.2 cr (International offer). Around 90% students who were eligible got placement. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
