Remarks

I am in NIT Hamirpur and this is really nice college. Seniors are helping. Teaching faculty is also nice. The hostel infrastructure is also good. You may face some problems in adjusting but when you start liking it you would not wamt to leave it and go home

Course Curriculum Overview

I am pursuing electrical engineering from NIT Hamirpur and it is a bit complicated subjects branch as well as interesting. The campus is very beautiful and very interesting practical sessions are there where we learn by performing the experiments.

Placement Experience

Students have to seek for internship by themself. They do so in or after 3rd year in the summer vaccinations. Many companies also visit our campus and offer various job opportunities to the students who are eligible as per their selection criteria.

College Events

There are many events but the three events are on the topmost priority. These are 'Lalkar' the sports eveny; 'Nimbus' the technical event and ' Hilfair' the cultural event. These events are provided with proper funding by the institute along with some clases are dismissed if required for the smooth flow of these events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It us feasible but it is required to make an income certificate before you pay and then as per your yearly income you can pay for academic as well as hostel separately. The infrastructure as well as hostel facilities are well .

Fees and Financial Aid

There are many scholarships offered in this course about which the administration inform us whenever it us available. They provide the notice on the notice board in the lecture hall complex. These scholarships are Silver jubilee scholarship, Samsung star scholarship and many more.

Campus Life

The laboratories are really good and well mannered. Students are made to perform experiment and practical by their own after instructed by the lab attendant. We are provided eith various equipment and many other facilities. Many extra curricular activities are also held by various teams or we can say clubs of the campus students and they cant be counted.

Alumni/Alumna

We never have to buy books by our own money. Either we get it by the library or we are sometimes provided by our seniors and it is a big thing. They are helpful and they sometimes might be annoying but they always wish good for us. Alumni also help their juniors in getting appropriate internship or some other financial help for their teams or clubs.

Admission

The admission is based on an entrance exam JEE mains accompanied with various counselling sessions. Many students prepare for it for so many years and only hardworking ones can get this seat. Students and teachers have great coordination throughout the whole process of admission in first year

The faculty of our branch i.e. electrical is not so nice but others like CSE or ECE they are nice and do loose marking in exams as well. I think our faculty is a bit old age persons who don't understand our point of view but they are also right on their position.

Lack of auditoriium so most of gathering will be in open air theatre

A few reputed companies visit the campus each year, but the number of offers and salary packages varies depending on the branch and market conditions. Students who have strong academic performance, technical skills, internships, and good communication skills generally have better chances of getting placed.

The campus really respects diversity. Students from different states and countries study together and that inclusion makes a big difference
The infrastructure and fab faculties are unmatched, for people dedicated to carrying out research, they have almost everything atvtheir disposal
Extra curricular activities make sure one is involved in multiple volunteery things rather than just academics

Dislikes

Relevant placement opportunities with good packages can be improved
The fee for courses could be regularised
Mode of exam conduction should be completely offline to ensure transparency

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in last semester. They can choose to sit in placements and select if they would like to join the company theyve been selected for. Eligible candidates do end up getting great packages

Campus is very good and nice view from college

Very less internship and placement option
Very slow wifi speen and only 1 gb per day

Course Curriculum Overview:

Updated to align with NEP-2020 guidelines starting from 2023 onward. CSE (AI & DS) branch includes modern subjects like Data Science, Machine Learning, Python, Cloud basics. Core branches (ECE, ME, EE, CE) follow standard Indian engineering frameworks with essential subjects. Syllabus similar to other govt engineering colleges under HP Tech University, so fairly up to date.

the fee structure are affordable for any one and hostel are also very cheap
they also help student to build cinfidence as many event are there so a person can loose his stage fear
the support of teacher for students is very good

Dislikes

i would say that the computer labs are not in very good conditions
the computer are not even advantageouos for aiml student
the infrastructre is not that good even no wifi facility

Placement Experience:

so as the first batch of cse ai ml is going to passout this year so there is no record of placement but hoping that their placement would be good as per teacher's expectations and also they provide intership in iit mandi

The faculty and staff are well qualified appx. all are phd .
The junior senior interaction is good .
There is good coding culture and all senior all helpful .

Dislikes

Area of college is 15 km from una city .
The curriculum us hectic in each semester it has atleast 6 subject.

My college offer above good placement . About 85-90% of the eligible student get placed with median package of 9 lakh and average of 11 lakh . Our placement incharge is Nistha Hooda. Highest placement is of 60 lakh and minimum is 4 lakh

Likes

Hostel fees is quite less despite providing many facilities.
Mess food is tasty and campus is small but clean and beautiful.
Curriculum is up-to-date. Teachers are helpful and friendly.

Dislikes

There are many unnecessary restrictions in hostel.
Sometimes you have too wait too long for food in mess.
Less events are organized and sports infrastructure is not too good.

Placement Experience:

Placements are average , it totally depends on the students skills and their cgpa. From 5th sem students become eligible for campus placements. TCS, Infosys, Redhat vistited the campus and made more than 200 offers. 171+ companies visited. Highest package is 1.11cr, average is 6lpa. 70% students gets placed. Planning to go in tech related jobs in industries after getting the degree.

I like the campus, there is greenery all over the campus.
Sports and cultural clubs and the festivals
very good wifi facility in the campus. And good gender ratio in institute

Dislikes

Climate is hot during summer. But winters are appreciable
Mess food is not good that much.. but we can eat.
Sometimes in hostel there is non availability of water . In bathrooms

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because it has more scope in India as India is a developing country. It also has government jobs more than other fields. We can shift to it sector this is the flexibility of this course.

When I was applying for engineering, I had filled applications for a few other NITs and state engineering colleges, but finally I chose NIT Hamirpur because of its good academic reputation, supportive campus environment, and better placement opportunities compared to the others. Some colleges I applied to had very high cutoffs and I couldn’t make it there because my JEE Main score was slightly lower than required, but NIT Hamirpur’s cutoff matched my rank, so I got admission here. The admission process was through JEE Main followed by JoSAA counseling, which is the most common and preferred route for B.Tech aspirants. The eligibility was 12th pass with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and the cutoff for civil engineering here was comparatively achievable for me. The overall admission process was transparent and smooth, from registering for counseling to final seat allotment.
