Course Curriculum Overview

1

The thing that attracts most students to be enrolled in any branch is the demand in the market. The curriculum provides basic theoretical knowledge, not much of the real world practical skills that people require in job market.

Internships Opportunities

3

Companies like Amazon, Rubrix, Deloitte etc. gave internships and also placements(usually together). Depending on the role the student used to get the stipend. Stipend could range between- 15000 to 1 lakh rupees.

Placement Experience

3

From 6th semester everyone starts looking for internships and also start applying for the off campus placements and on campus placements begin in 7th semester. Companies like Amazon, Rubrix, Paytm, Delloite etc. visit the campus and depending on the profile provides a certain package.About 98% students get placed in elections and computer related branches.

Fees and Financial Aid

Admission Fee- Rs.30000(one time, Non-refundable) Yearly fee for course is Rs.610000 for AIML, COE, CSE, ENC courses. Hostel Charges per semester- Rs.30000 to Rs.70000 Mess Charges- Rs. 25500 Students with more than 80% in PCM are eligible for 30% tuition fee waiver. With those between 75% and 80% percent are eligible for a 20% waiver. Top 10% students in each branch recieve merit based scholorships ranging from Rs.1 Lakh to Rs.3 Lakh depending on the branch. Economically disadvantaged students can get need based scholorships covering their hostel fee.

Campus Life

5

The festivals, interactions and engagements between students in one of the boons of TIET. It offers an opportunities to people to join different clubs and also start their own club if they like to do so.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel facilities like AC, charging points and one personal bed with study talbe are available in most hostels. You can also atatched washroom depending on your hostel. You get mess and a gym in every hostel. The food quality is generally decent.

Admission

TIET provides placements which are better than most of the private colleges out there. The campus life is amazing and there is a lot to explore and you can meet all kinds of people from entrepreneus to artists in same campus.

Faculty

3

The faculties are often approachable and ratio is about 1:80 atleast. The relationship between students and faculties for most students isn't significant, most students attend lectures for attendance. There was Professor named Dr. Ankush Pathnia whom I liked. I liked him because he was between one of the few teachers who cared to explain, solve and ask doubts to students. Most teachers used make a ppt and we had to do the rest by ourselves. Exams are moderatly difficult. Mostly people do good by studing in between exams.

Night Life

3

There is a gym in every hostel and there is a market near the college where students can enjoy their nightlife. But girls hostels are very strict regarding the timings for girls but boys usually dont have much problem.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
