All about Pondicherry University

I choose Ba. BEd. history because it has professional value and also helps int he upsc exams. The curriculum revolves around practical work such as in history we learn about museums, epigraphys, manuscript and also world history which gives us a upper hand in practical work. As for bed we cover basic pedagogy, psychology and teacher development and also practical sessions, Currently there is no need in any change as it already covers both practical and theoretical domains. The frequency of exam is vast and difficulty level is medium it would be great if there is a little gap between papers

There are various institutions that provide intership for students and also students can prefer the institutions. Some of the institutions that offers internship in my major are french institution, sakar institute, sharma institue, cpr Ramaswamy institute. You have to learn and experiment on archaeological sites and subject and note them.

The year wise fees I paid was 27000 for 1st semester and 5200 for 2 nd semester total 32500. Tution fee is 10000 Caution fee is 1000 Registration fee is 400 Development fee is 1200 Lab fees 2000 And there are also many fund and fees such as sports, student welfare and much more to it. There are different state scholarship has been provided such as kerala govt scholarship, odissa scholarship,and tamil nadu state government scholarship for sc st students and also nsp also available

The experience in the university is enjoyable and fun as well as usefull. There are many festivals celebrated because of various students from various regions are presented.some majorly celebrated festivals are onam, diwali, dussehra, pongal, christmas, new year, and much more cultural festivals. The library here are some best collections you can find they have all type of genre and they also provide e services. They have enough facilities in the classroom for teaching they have smart boards and benches, still there is a need for improvement in the classroom. There is both outdoor stadium and an indoor stadium presented Be aware of political institutions inside the campus by the students. They try to involve you into their political agendas, they do protests and much more often impacts their studies.

I only tried to get in the Pondicherry University as it's near my home and the course is good enough for me. To join the Pondicherry University you have to write entrance exam based on the course you are selecting. There are CUET, NCET, GATE, CENTAC, if still there are spots left they call for spot admission.

In my class there are 70 students from various major and one common course and we have 3 teachers for that one common course which contains three papers. In my history department there is a professor called ruman Banerjee he is good and gives important to practical learning and execution he takes us to field sites and help us understand the subject more clearly. There is a professor called luv (in tamil) his english is so bad students have difficulties to understand what he is saying. In a year there are 2 semester each having four papers 2 from major and 2 from ITEP. On a average 3-5 students have difficulties clearing the paper. The course curriculum covers practical theories and essential skills for us to survive in the domain.

Pondicherry University looks good only after evening all students will be free and roams here and there opposite to the university there is beach you can watch sunset daily if you want. There are teacher times inside the university one presented near boys hostel and one in girls hostel but any one can go in the both of them. I would advice you to go out in the evening if you don't have any vehicle with because the public transport is Hard to get in the evening. Major hangout place is the rock beach, auroville , Sunday market and much more
