Course Curriculum Overview

4

I would say at a glance the B.tech curriculum is relevant, comprehensive and well balanced combining core sujects with data focused topics such as machine learning, AI and database. It includes practicals and lab works to help apply concepts in real world problem . The syllabus is updated to match current trends making it useful for higher studies. Exams are held twice a semester along with internal assessments.

Internships Opportunities

3

As a second-year student, I haven't done any internships. I have mostly heard from seniors, faculty, and official notices that the university offers intership in multiple companies such as TCS, Wipro, and Genpact. Stipends range from 5000 to 20000 Rupees, depending on the company. Many projects are real-world problem-solving assignments like building predictive models, developing sites, or creating dashboards and chatbots, which give a chance for pre-placement offers for high performers

Placement Experience

3

The university offers placements to the students who become eligible from the 7th semester Some of the recruiters that I heard about were TCS,Wipro,Xebia and Deloitte. The highest package was for 56LPA and the average is around 4-5 LPA for most courses. Around 85-90% of students secure placements each year.

Fees and Financial Aid

K.R. Mangalam University charges annual tuition fees based on the program for example, the B.Tech (Computer Science & Engineering) course charges 230000 per annum 115000 per semester, with an up to 10% per annum hike possible subject to approval. From all UG courses, overall fees vary between approximately 1 lakh to 11.5 lakhs based on the selected course, while PG courses vary between 1.1 lakhs to 7 lakhs overall.

Campus Life

4

The campus is lively and well rounded with plenty of extra activities aside from academics, the university has its own annual fests, conducts its own course concentrated compititions and events. The library is well stocked and have a good range of books, study material, reference material and journals, all of this is accessible to students and the classrooms have smartboards and projectors The campus also have sports grounds which consists of a basketball court, cricket net, football field, tennis court with indoor activities also available like pool, chess, table tennis. Student run clubs are also present in the campus in areas such as coding, dance ,music , robotics, sports, drama , media and debate.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel rooms holds 4 people at a time, 2 people at one side of the room and the other on the second half. Each room have toilets and bathing area with a balcony and each room have centralized A/C, Wifi is also available, with a common room on each floor, there is a gym on the basement floor with a laundry area where machines have been installed, the hostel also provides ironing service for clothes . The food quality is not great but it's not bad either with meals given 4 times a day in breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner. The registration process is quite simple u fill out an hostel form which list your details with your medical history and conditions that needs to be stated with you gaurdian and parents details the hostel fees is 1.6 lakhs per year .

Admission

I choose K.R Mangalam as it stood out accordingly to my situation and criteria and talking about other colleges some were far and the daily living situation were not favorable. The addmission processing in K.R mangalam was very straight forward they ask of more than 50% in 10+2 and also accept through JEE and CUET exam scores, they also have their very own entrance examination. The cutoffs are not very high as tier 1 colleges but also allows quality intake. My addmission process was smooth I applied for the university, submitted my documents online, attended counselling and received my offer letter in a few days

Faculty

4

The faculty-to-student ratio at KR mangal quite good roughly around 1:20 so individual attention is possible most of the teachers are supportive and approachable, and it's easier to clear doubts during or after lectures. Some are interactive and explain concepts with practical examples, while a few tend to stick to slides, making the lecture monotonous at times The course structure have a balance of core subjects, open electives and lab works and is updated to match the Industry requirements. The exams are held twice a semester mid term and end term with a few class tests, vivas and assignments, usually the 30% of the grade comes from internal assessment and the rest 70% from examinations, the difficulty level is moderate the students who keep up with classes can easily pass, failure is rare and it is mostly due to short attendence or lack of preparation.

Night Life

4

As a hosteler nightlife is calm and it's a nonhappening place as the day scholars leave the campus by 4pm and after the we can roam around the campus freely but not inside that college. The popular hangout spots are mostly the cafeteria, gym, spots ground and the common rooms .

Course Curriculum Overview:

teaching aspect, exam conduction is fine. except they can give more break (1 or 2 day) between exams, rest all is good. The exams are not that difficult. The level i would say on a scale of 1 to 10, is around 6.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I thought I would have a wide range of options to choose from later. This curriculum prepares us moderately I will say. Academically subjects are what we need, but I feel semesters are too short to complete everything. while semester we are like rushing first minor then within a month we have majors. it feels too overwhelming as we have to do subjects like cs gp too. which take a lot of time. then assignments. then lab workbooks are to be completed then we have to complete the syllabus and then minor and after a month only we have majors it is very hectic.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is successfully combined with theoretical learning and practical applications, enabling students to face both professional lives and higher studies. The majority of students enjoy its applicability. The fee is affordable, with B.Tech priced around ?92,500 per annum. Merit-based scholarships (12th-grade marks, CUET, or JEE Main) give financial assistance with up to a 100% concession for good performers. Few details are available regarding fee differentials for different categories (SC, ST, Management). Examinations are held on a regular basis, such as sessionals and end-of-semester exams. Improvement areas include more effective time management in the tests and more concentration on extracurricular activities.

Placement Experience:

You become eligible for placements from the 7th sem itself. The companies which some here are mostly unknown companies, except Flipkart, Airtel, Jindal and Reliance. The placement scenario is as follows: CS/IT : Very good placements, avg 4+, highest(from 2023) was 12LPA on campus. Printing/PKG/Food Tech : 100% Placement, in 2024, 10 students got placed with a package of 9.5 LPA. Core branches(Except ECE) : Decent placement, you have to be top employable in your batch to be placed. ECE : Not allowed to sit in software companies, no electronic company comes, worst placement, No need to talk about the package or percentages. You can just be placed in a sales role.
