Course Curriculum Overview

4

B.Tech is a professional course and it prepares a student for facing the real world situations. 45 subjects, multiples exams, assignments, internal and external practicals and other things helps in developing the student.

Placement Experience

3

UIET MDU Rohtak offers campus placements primarily for B.Tech branches like ECE, with a dedicated Career Counselling & Placement Cell facilitating recruitment by companies such as TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and others, though placement rates and packages vary by branch and year. In recent NIRF 2025 data for UG 4-year programs (including B.Tech), 57 out of 80 eligible students were placed with a median salary of ?8.78 LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees here at University institute of engineering and technology MDU Rohtak keeps on increasing every year. When I took admission in 2024 I paid 45000 for 1st semester but in 2025 admission, first year students paid 50000. Scholarships are provided to backward caste students only and they also have to suffer alot in this process

Campus Life

4

Campus life at MDU/UIET Rohtak offers a balanced mix of academics and fun on a sprawling 622-acre green campus, with students describing it as carefree and vibrant, featuring clean parks, sports facilities, and a peaceful library atmosphere that stands out as a favorite spot. Well-equipped labs (175+ across departments), 250+ smart classrooms, central library with millions of books, sports complex, auditorium, and medical/ambulance services support daily life; hostels house 4000+ students cooperatively, with greenery and cleanliness earning national recognition since 2018. Minor gripes include no smart boards in some areas and busy canteens, but overall facilities suit ECE projects and fitness routines effectively.

Admission

Academic quality: NAAC grade, university reputation in your state, branch strength, curriculum, labs. I chose MDU/UIET over my other options mainly because it is a government institute with NAAC ‘A’ accreditation, offers my preferred branch at a comparatively affordable fee, and has a decent placement record in CSE/ECE with companies like TCS, Infosys and Wipro visiting the campus.

Faculty

3

Most of the faculty members are not supportive with the students but some faculty members are good. The head of the departments are very rude and its very difficult for student to get a sign on a form from the HODs. The course is of 4 years or 8 semesters. Sessional exams are conducted twice each semester, then internal practical exams, then semester exams and at last external practical exams.

Night Life

4

Nightlife around MDU/UIET Rohtak campus is low-key and subdued, typical of a Tier-2 city in Haryana, with no dedicated nightclubs, bars, or late-night pubs on or near campus due to cultural norms, strict hostel timings (usually 9-10 PM closure), and a family-oriented environment. Evenings come alive through informal hostel gatherings, common room hangouts with TV/newspapers, indoor games, or late-night study sessions in the library (open till 10 PM); occasional freshers parties, UIET fests like SPORTECH, or cultural events feature dancing and music, creating a vibrant "party" vibe within campus bounds. Rohtak offers limited spots like campus canteens/juice corners (open till 8-9 PM), roadside dhabas for chai/snacks, or Tilyar Lake for casual evening walks; for more action, students head to gyms (faculty club open late), quick drives to cafes, or weekend trips to Delhi (1-1.5 hrs away) for actual nightlife. Overall, focus stays on fitness, projects, or YouTube planning rather than wi

Course Curriculum Overview:

teaching aspect, exam conduction is fine. except they can give more break (1 or 2 day) between exams, rest all is good. The exams are not that difficult. The level i would say on a scale of 1 to 10, is around 6.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I thought I would have a wide range of options to choose from later. This curriculum prepares us moderately I will say. Academically subjects are what we need, but I feel semesters are too short to complete everything. while semester we are like rushing first minor then within a month we have majors. it feels too overwhelming as we have to do subjects like cs gp too. which take a lot of time. then assignments. then lab workbooks are to be completed then we have to complete the syllabus and then minor and after a month only we have majors it is very hectic.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is successfully combined with theoretical learning and practical applications, enabling students to face both professional lives and higher studies. The majority of students enjoy its applicability. The fee is affordable, with B.Tech priced around ?92,500 per annum. Merit-based scholarships (12th-grade marks, CUET, or JEE Main) give financial assistance with up to a 100% concession for good performers. Few details are available regarding fee differentials for different categories (SC, ST, Management). Examinations are held on a regular basis, such as sessionals and end-of-semester exams. Improvement areas include more effective time management in the tests and more concentration on extracurricular activities.

Placement Experience:

You become eligible for placements from the 7th sem itself. The companies which some here are mostly unknown companies, except Flipkart, Airtel, Jindal and Reliance. The placement scenario is as follows: CS/IT : Very good placements, avg 4+, highest(from 2023) was 12LPA on campus. Printing/PKG/Food Tech : 100% Placement, in 2024, 10 students got placed with a package of 9.5 LPA. Core branches(Except ECE) : Decent placement, you have to be top employable in your batch to be placed. ECE : Not allowed to sit in software companies, no electronic company comes, worst placement, No need to talk about the package or percentages. You can just be placed in a sales role.
