Course Curriculum Overview

4

I was very much interested to come into this software field since my 10th standard. Since my rank is a bit less, I wasn't eligible to get a seat in CSE (Computer Science of Engineering). So, I tried IT (Information Technology) and luckily i got. When i need to talk about curriculum there are pros and cons but every college has same pattern so we don't have any other option. It is packed with both subject knowledge and coding. So, I think it will be good. Areas to improve will be teaching style. Few faculty teach very fast. It is tough to understand for average students like me. When I need to talk about exams, there was a lot of time between mid 1 and mid 2 but after mid 2 externals and sem exams are very near.

Internships Opportunities

5

Internship opportunities are very good for our college. Every year students get multiple internships in their hand. I saw students with 3 4 internships at once. Few students got internships around 80,000 to 1,50,000. Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning is the booming technologe and quantum computing also. most of my seniors who targetted these concepts got high paying jobs. As I already mentioned the companies like Google, Microsoft, Qualcomm, Salesforce, CISCO, Oracle and many more visited.

Placement Experience

5

I saw many of my seniors getting internships from their 4th semester itself. But they are not campus placements. They apply outside college and try. I think after 5th or 6th semester students are elligible tfor campus placements. I heard than 80+ companies visited our as we are considered to be one of the top colleges in telangana. ServiceNow, Oracle, Qualcomm these are the most visited. Top companies like Google, Microsoft, CISCO, VISA, Salesforce also visited. Still so many there i don't remember all of them. I heard that 90% to 95% students get placed. In 2024 42.6LPA was the highest package I don't remember the student name. My plans are simple. Get a high paid job, work for 2 to 3 years and do M.tech for better oppurtunities.

Fees and Financial Aid

College fee is around 1,40,000 rupees per year. This should be paid every year for 4 years. For SC and ST students they get full fee reimbursement. For OBC students they should get a rand under 10,000 to get full fee reimbursement. And they get 40,000 reimbursement above 10,000 rank also. For OC students they will not get any fee reimbursement. If they are EWS (Economically Weaker Section) they will be getting 40,000 fee reembursement alike OBC. When it comes to other fee they collect after joining college, since i joined recently, I experienced only one fee which is call Skill Development Fee. They laid the foundation for coding skills. And this fee was around 3,000. Also, since I live far from college like 25kms I take college transport which was around 33,000 per year. This should also be paid for 4 years

Campus Life

5

When I need to talk about fests there are not much for first years. But I heard that from 3rd semester fests will be good. The only fest we had in 1st semester was freshers party. I'm not sure about the exact number of books in library. But there are many books regarding biopics, novels, etc. There are also quite a few interesting story books. Within classroom a black board and a projector screen are there. Presentations are held in the projector. Sports period is 1 hour a week. I expected it to be more. But students interested to play can play 2 hours after the college hours in college. Transport is also available for them who play after college hours.

Admission

I applied in almost 20 colleges. But the top colleges were JNTUH, CBIT, VNR VJIET, and Vasavi College of Engineering. My rank is a bit less so I did not get seat in those 3 colleges. Luckily I got seat in Vasavi College so I'm happy. Admission process is of 2 kinds. One was through EAPCET exam. And, the other through JEE MAINS exam. Students who got above 92%ile were eligible and got seats in different branches. For EAPCET through cutoffs vary through different branches. Admission experience was not hectic. Everything went with the flow.

Faculty

4

When it comes to faculty-student ratio it is definitely around 1:64 or 1:65. Few faculty are good, like they teach slow and tell students to ask doubts. Few faculty are approachable as they are young, but students obviously fear a bit to approach old and experienced faculty. My favourite faculty is meena mam. I used to find it hard to talk on stage. But meena mam improved that quality in me by picking me up on stage for some number of times. There is no faculty like i did not like but Srinivas sir is strict and students find it hard to approach him. For every sem 2 mid exams, 1 lab internals, sem end exam and 1 lab externals will be there. Toughness is medium for all of them.

Night Life

5

Gym is not there. I was expecting gym because I heard that it is available in quite a few other colleges. Caafeterias are there and I love canteen food. Especially frankie. My favourite spot will be canteen because every week after the sports hour we got there and havea drink. I'm not a hosteller so I'm not sure about the hostel life. Campus timings are from morning 9:40 to evening 4:20. Outside the college golkonda is there. Me and my friends also went there once. As I said inside college canteen is my favourite spot. Night also it is safe to roam around my college.

Other Applied Colleges

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement Experience:

The placements are comparatively more in this college, as there is more industry exposure. Students are eligible for placements from around 3-2 (3rd yr-II sem) to 4-2 (4th yr- II sem). Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, NCR often visit the campus. The highest package offered last year was 1.2 cr (International offer). Around 90% students who were eligible got placement. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree.

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
