Remarks
Positive- It is a good college with decent placements and with good faculties. If you are talented your career is safe. Negative- Lots of academic pressure in the engineering stream and in MBA. You to clear all the subjects otherwise you will be paying 6k to re-register.
Course Curriculum Overview
VIT has a different way to choose the course every semester. They follow FFCS you need to register the subject you want to learn and can choose to your convenient timings. So it helps to be comfortable in the studies. Lots of projects will be there. If you fail in any subject you to re-register and study the course for 6 months again.
Placement Experience
Placements are decent. An average of around 10 companies will be coming every year based on their needs they select through the various selection processes. Few top companies will be coming for open placements where you need to compete with the whole college to get the job.
College Events
There are lots of events happening around every year. There are so many groups they conduct some event. Also there many clubs like football, dance, street play and so many to enhance your skills while studying.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure for arts is 30k every year. And for engineering it is expensive. But one good thing is they are not asking for additional fees. So if you pay for one year again no need to pay any additional fees. If you fail in any subject need to pay a re-register fee of 6000.
Fees and Financial Aid
You can avail the scholarship. If your family income is less than 1 lakh you will get 1000 rupees every year. Also, you can get a loan from City Union Bank. They will loan for your studies. Also, VIT is giving free seats to students who get school first in the government school
Campus Life
As I said a lot of activities and clubs to develop your extracurricular activities. They conduct many events and even the college is providing some funds to the clubs. You to register for some Extracurricular course For 1 year
Hostel Facilities
I didn't stay in the hostel. But I have seen the facilities. It is very good, you get the facilities based on your hostel fee. If you opt for Air conditioning room you will be paying more than a lakh. Food is also decent.
Alumni/Alumna
The Alumni network is very good, they will conduct alumni meetings every year. Even the will provide loans for the alumni students startups. So students are benefited even after graduated and but is still in touch with the students
Admission
Just need to submit an application for the arts group. For engineering, there is an entrance exam. Need to good rank to choose the course. For arts, it relies on the 12th mark. If the mark is above 75 percent then the seat is confirmed.
Faculty
Faculty are very good for BCOM. They will help you a lot. Compared to another school in VIT SSL is the best where there are so many faculty who are friendly with students. They all are well-experienced faculty in the field.
