Course Curriculum Overview
From my pov, the course curriculum at K.R. Mangalam University is fairly relevant and updated with practical content, helping build basic industry skills, thoug depth can vary each subject and course delivery. While some of my friends feel it's industry aligned and moderately comprehensive, while others note it still needs more advanced real-world projects to be fully industry-ready.
Internships Opportunities
My university offers structured internship opprotunities as part of the Btech/ Cybersecurity curriculum, typically a 6-8 week summer internship after the second semester with options like industry internships (offline/online), research projects, global certifications or on-campus industry programs. Students must submit a report and presentation for academic evaluation.
Placement Experience
Campus placements are offered with many companies visiting (700-800+). Highest packages can go high (Rs 30-56 LPA), but averages and typical offers vary (~ Rs 6-7 LPA), and placements rates differ by batch. Some students also pursue internships or off-campus jobs if campus offers are limited.
Fees and Financial Aid
The Btech Cyber Security tution fee is Rs 2,50,000 per year (total approximately Rs 10 lakh for 4 years) and hostel is Rs 1,60,000 per year plus refundable deposits and other charges like registration / transport. Total with hostel across 4 years can be approx. Rs 15.6~17 lakh (tution + hostel) and fees may increase slightly yearly (~up to 10% approved). Scholarships based on 12th % and entrance scores (CUET/JEE ranks) offer 10-100% tution discounts, applied mainly to first-year fees.
Campus Life
Campus life at K.R. Mangalam is vibrant with active clubs, fests and events fostering social interaction. I am in my first year, second semester and four-five fests have already happened making it very active. Infrastruture is modern, including labs, library, sports and hostels, creating a lively, engaging environment for learning and networking.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel of K.R. Mangalam University is on-campus. It is secure, well-furnished with AC rooms, beds, study tables, Wi-Fi, attahed baths, sports/indoor games and 24/7 security for both boys and girls. Rooms generally house up to 4 students. From my pov, i will say the rooms are decent and clean, but mess food quality and Wi-Fi speed can be average or mixed. Overall, it's comfortable and safe.
Admission
I chose K.R. Mangalam University for its modern campus, supportive faculty, good infrastructure, and decent placements. Compared to other colleges, if offered better labs, events, and Cybesecurity focus. Admission is via 12th marks, JEE/CUET, or university entrance test, and scholarships are applied based on merit.
Faculty
Most students find faculty generally qualified, helpful and supportive, with friendly and concept-focused teaching in many departments, though quality varies by professor and some rely more on lecture slides than industry experience. The most favourite faculty from my side are a lot, just one or two didn't meet my expectations. The Btech course structure is semster based with a blend of theory, labs, assignments and projects aligned to modern topics and aims at industry relevance. Exams are held every semester (about every three months), typically moderate in difficulty, and include mid-term and end-term assessments. There's a passing requirement too, which is often 40-50%. Attendance criteria is also required upto 75% to sit for exams.
Interview Experience
For B.Tech Cybersecurity admission at K.R. Mangalam University, I or other students report no GD/PI as such, admissions are mostly based on 12th % and entrance scores (CUET/ JEE/ KEAM). Some scholarship-based entries may require a written test or online assessment.
Night Life
Nightlife around the K.R. Mangalam University campus is quiet on campus, with students mostly socializing in hostels, lounges and common areas. Nearby Gurugram offers a lot of cafes and late-night eateries a short drive away, but within campus it's calm and low-key, though going out of campus is strictly prohibited after 10 pm.
