Likes
- I really like the environment of the college, like there is no kind of discrimination in the college.
- College environment is kind of strict and fun at the same time , there are always co-ordinators available for us and also the ARC memeber who are our senior also help us in our day to day queries
- Overall there is no kind of ragging in the college and college is very strict regarding college, who so ever is indulge in these ragging activities have to face huge punishments that's why the college senior and junior bonding is also very good.
Dislikes
- The main thing which I don't like about the college is campus , like campus is not that big which I expected
- Also the sports here are not that good because I have taken part in badminton from my department but was not allowed to play as I was junior and they said that seniors are priority
- Also being an non local student there is also a language barrier as I don't know bengali and most of teachers often speak in bengali .
Course Curriculum Overview
Since I'm in first year so I don't got into my specialization that much , but from my knowledge we are getting knowledge about all domain in a portion which will help us in our future . This also helps us to decide that specifically which domain is best for us . Since I'm in first year so I didn't have my exams yet because of the late admission in college the reason for late admission was stay in admission by the Calcutta Highcourt due to some issues on reservation.
Internships Opportunities
Our college placement cell is very good it helps every student to get internship opportunities in their 2nd or 3rd year depending on their performance. College also provide us the personality development clases which also make us ready to give interviews and helps us with our overall public speaking.
Fees and Financial Aid
Hiiii I have taken Admission in CSE CYBERSECURITY last year i.e 2025 My total fees was 81000 rupees for the first semester and after that external 5000 rupees for dress and books that we got , I got my Bonafide and the total fees for the full course is 640000 Rupees
Campus Life
TECHNO main salt lake is very vibrant college in terms of fest and all , as the clubs here are very active and we really get exposure of all the fields that we are intrested in , like there is a club called GEEKONIX which is for cultural betterment Also there are many artists who come in our college fests , recently our college has organised a event named SAFALYA in which they had invited the youtuber "Tending to infinity" for guidance of students regarding their academics. Overall College environment regarding social society and other activities and cultural betterment is Very good
Admission
I had given WBJEE and my rank was something around 16000 so my preference was Heritage Institute of college because of their campus , but unfortunately I didn't get seat there , so that's why I selected this course as many seniors of mine who are Alumini of this college suggested me that the placement cell of this college is excellent and If I prepare well , I would definitely get a good placement as there are big companies in placement interview like Google adobe and accenture The eligibility criteria for my course is to have aggregate 45% in 10+2 .
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio is overall good in my college. Also most of the faculty here are friendly and always try to help students as I remember that my one assignment was wrong and the due date already got exceeded but still the faculty has given me extra time to complete my work . I don't think that there is anyone whom I don't like and the faculty I like the most are Arpita Bhaumik mam , krishna Chattaraj mam and our physics faculty SC mam . Since college is affiliated to MAKAUT so the curriculum is a bit hard but still that is our for our betterment and I believe that this curriculum will definitely help us to know how to deal with the pressure and manage our studies
Night Life
As of my knowledge there is no Gym in the college which is a con , there are two cafeteria in the college which are quite affordable and the food quality is also very good . College don't has it's own hostel in the campus but it provides brokers who help us to get hostel easily and in affordable rates . In night the aream near salt lake is safe and also a quite happening place as it is techpark .
