Remarks

Great infrastructure and pollution and noise free campus. Well disciplined college. The faculties and management were very strict and they were not allowed to bunk the class. Felt like school life. You need to enter inside campus before 9am. You can't leave the campus before 4pm without permission.

Course Curriculum Overview

The syllabus is based on the kannur university Btech structure. University conducted 8 semester exams. In each semester it contain 6 theory paper and 2 practical labs. Kannur university conducted most of the b.tech exams on time.

Placement Experience

VJEC is provided limited internahip and placement opportunities are very less at that time (2009 to 2013). I don't know about current situation of the college. Only some BPO companies were hired students.

College Events

1. Collage annual day. As every college, our college also celebrate annual day very colourfully. Its a 2 or 3 day program with various stage show and other co-curriculum activities. 2. Freshers day 3. Farewell day No any other celebrations.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible fees. The fee structure is based on the Kerala Government circular. Kerala government will revise the fee structure every year. 50% of seats are allotted to government and remaining will filled by college management.

Fees and Financial Aid

VJEC provided different scholarship programs. The college is running by Thalassery athiroopatha and they have given many scholarships to bright and needy students. Also they will assist to get loan from various bank, mainly Syndicate bank.

Campus Life

VJEC have very good infrastructure in the terms of campus, laboratories and sports courts. VJEC have good team in basketball and we have four international standard basket courts. Our college conducted many basketball tournaments in our college.

Alumni/Alumna

Our alumni network is very week and very less colleagues attended in the alumni meeting and activities. The relationship between seniors and juniors were very less in our college days, because the faculties were not allowed to mingle the seniors to juniors. Also the ragging in our college was very less.

Admission

I got the admission to this college based on the KEAM entrance rank and my Plus two examination mark. I got admission in the 4th round of allotment process. I got admission in my last choice Electronics and Instrumentation, later I got CSE branch.

Faculty

In the CSE branch 50% faculties were well qualified and well experienced during my course period 2009 to 2013. Remaining 50% were less qualified. It affects entire batch. Also I don't like the behaviour of the most of the faculties, because most of the faculties are given less marks in Internal and assignments. They don't have any commitment to students.

Good life memory

Likes

College ambience was too attractive. Friendly atmosphere ആൻഡ് very nice hidden spots and food spots inside the college
The faculty was too supportive and encouragive nature that was also in studies and extra curricular activities also that be very kind of them
There is not only aim to study but also encourage the extra activities. The management was also very supportive to students and also the faculties.

Dislikes

There is very strict to attendence. There was not to bunk the class every hour there will take the attendence and there will be absent they autimaticaly send sms to registerd phone
There is too many exams and assignments that will be little bit problem for students
Canteen facilities little bit bad in my college life time. There was not that much food veriety

Placement Experience:

From 6 th semester onwards campus placement taken. There was coming in bcs, infopark, wipro, etc. Companies are mainly appeared and also many other companies came select many students. The main companies take students in cutoff 8.5or9 cgpa. And some other compnies take students they have backpapers.

Likes

The overall environment here is great. Students coming from different backgrounds make us more capable of meeting new people who have different ideas and that makes things easier,apart from achieving technical greatness ,curtain clubs are here
These clubs gives opportunities to gain new skills and to showcase our existing skills, sports clubs are also present which will help improve skills in sports
Cultural clubs , technical clubs are also present here to aid in your interest

Placement Experience:

Upon reaching s7 students are invited for campus placement but they have to pass different criteria to become eligible for attending the interview, a minimum cgpa of 7.5 and academic skills a these are the basic requirements and an aptitude test will be given and in further selection these criteria are looked. I plan on pursuing a job after completing by btech. More than half the students in a batch are getting placed usually.

Likes

college provides nice venue good study environment
provide library facilities and lab facilities

It is so far from the main road a lot to walk

Placement Experience:

Students can get internships from First sem. Students become eligible from 7th sem for campus placement . The average package begins from 15000/- to most highest package of 25000/-. The percentage of students getting paced is 20-30%.I have been planiing to go to higher studies.

Likes

Campus, comparing from nearby college this college had good visual beauty may be because of the college been part 2-3 movies. Visually the college are too good with nature

Dislikes

The Placement is weak as there is no opportunity to get a proper core based job from what you studied mainly job opportunities come from call centres which doesnt require Btech to study. This personally felt too sad to be here to get placed in core.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As of the college comes under Ktu syllabus it has already has demerits of the university. Curriculum basically doesnot provide a realworld application uses. Just creates a knowledge on the course (and thats doubt) We need to courses outside the college to get the core jobs outside

The college provides a good atmosphere to truly get a job in the competetive world if we are willing to work for it.
They heavily monitor attendance to make sure that you take your classes so that you perform well in your exams
The facilities provided by the college are good as there are several labs and workshops for hands-on experience

Dislikes

The campus life can get boring and it feels like we are in a rat race.
Some teachers can be a bit apathetic towards the students.
The number events that encourage social interactions in not many

Placement Experience:

The students are elegible for campus placements from the 7th semester and almost all students get placements provided they don't have any subject yet to clear at the time of placement. There are several companies that visit the college for recruiting including but not limited to TCS, CTS,etc,.

The campus is a package pf greenery and the culteral events conducted there are good at the end
The faculties are good and maintain a decent teaching style
The sports activities are well maintained here

Dislikes

The hostel mess and the food is a bit not good from my opinion
The hostel doesn't have adequate wifi to accommodate the entire strength of students residing there

Yes the college is providing placement facilities and the College has its own placement and industrial relations wing that is said to study about the current industrial requirements and provide the adequate amount of training for the students

These companies provide placement for all the branches of the college. 90 percent of the students get placements. I prefer to go for higher studies after getting the degree.

I tried for merit but my KEAM(entrance exam) score was low so I didn't got admission at first then I got admission through management quota. I had applied for this course in several colleges in banglore and other places. The reason which hold me here is the course affordability and good infrastructure provided by this college. This college offers BTech artificial intelligence and Data Science at the rate of 98500 per year as tution fees while other colleges offer this same course around 200000 tution fee per year which is a better reason for studying this college. The college also provide scholarships for students on the basis of their plus two marks and keam ranks which will cover their entire tuition fee which helps the students to study in a cost effective way and also increase the quality of education.
