Faculty

The faculties are very friendly and approachable, they are 24/7 available for any helps and queries. Faculties are well knowledgeable about their domain. Every faculty has a responsibility to make students pass in their class, so they provide us with extra classes and materials to help us . We have a placement cell in our college which works for the students and their internships and placements .

Campus Life

Course Curriculum Overview

Focus on the unique or appealing features that set this course apart for you. ?Key Influencing Factors: ?Specialized Modules: Did the course offer a rare specialization (e.g., Quantum Computing, Biomedical Ethics, Renaissance Art)? ?Practical Focus: Was there a strong emphasis on hands-on labs, projects, or case studies? ?Interdisciplinary Nature: Did the curriculum combine fields (e.g., Business Analytics and Psychology)? ?Modern/Relevant Content: Did the syllabus include the latest industry tools, technologies, or research (e.g., AI/Machine Learning, Sustainability)? ?Flexibility/Electives: The freedom to customize the learning path with a variety of elective choices. ?Example response: "I was specifically drawn to the final-year sequence, which included 'Advanced Machine Learning' and 'Big Data Infrastructure.' These modules, combined with the mandatory capstone project, directly aligned with my career goal of becoming a Data Scientist, providing a clear, relevant path that other programs lacked."

Campus Life

The campus life is very lively. Most students hang in the grounds and canteens between classes and most of the time some or the other thing keeps happeing to entertain the students. The library is a silent place and also they provide all kinds of books for the students. The annual cultural fest was also held in which most colleges of Chandigarh took part and it created a very vibrant vibe for the students. Many clubs have been organised which keeps on organising various events including charity.

Faculty

The exam pattern is very easy and compatible, we need to attempt total eight questions out of which four of five marks each and four of fifteen marks each . We get a choice of attempting four out of six and two out of four questions. The course curriculum covers all the important areas required and also doesn't create a burden on students. The faculties are overall very supportive and friendly but yes some are strict but it works for clever and noisy students

The facilities are really very supportive and helpful in everything not only in studies incase if we find any problems or difficulties in campus we can approach our faculty. I like every facilities in our campus. I never felt that any faculty would discriminate against students. The exams are kind of difficult and to score the best marks should study very hard.

Course Curriculum Overview

The cource covers all the important topics which will be very helpful for our career development. The teaching methods are really very good and it would be better if they give more realistic examples soo that students would understand in more easier way. Fees and Financial Aid

For commerce, the normal yearly fee is only 15,000 rupees. For students with quota like OBC,SC/ST, it may get even lower and discounted. In my first year, I paid 14,500. In the second year, I paid 15,000 and in my final year, I paid 18,000. So, It does increase by 2000-3000 rupees every year depending on your course and if you have taken up anything extra as well. There is no such other fee but if you are a commerce student, you may have to give some fee around 1800 for The Commerce Association if you want to attend commerce events. All in all, I believe Gargi is very affordable, especially for students looking for government colleges with good facilities.

Faculty

The faculty is extremely qualified with each one having a doctorate in their respective subjects. Most of them are quite good but some of them can be a little intimidating at times. I think as the semesters pass, it gets a little more tense in terms of tests and internals. Exams are moderate level.

Dan Utsav was held in November for the needy students to donate as per their wish.

Course Curriculum Overview

1. My own specific interest in this course is the reason to chose the subject. not any other aspects of the decorum of the college. 2. All over in my perspective the curriculum is actually very good for futher academic pursuits. 3. The more the teaching staff is taking classes in the practical way less than theory. 4. The Timing was actually very disappointing for me to write the exam briefly.

I am a fresher and my classes were started in August month . The first function is held on 20 august, Teej function. Many students had participated in this function.I had also participated in singing. Then diwali mela had organised in campus on 15 october. In this, students had organised many stalls life food , hand made accessories, games, mehndi etc . I had fully enjoyed in this mela . This is very new and exciting experience for me . Then a Job fair was organised in college where 30+ companies had camed for giving jobs . In this, many college students and may outsiders have camed for getting jobs . In library there are end no of books ,of different books of different subjects and if you want any kind of book or course subject book , you definitely get this from the library for limited time. The classrooms are well structured and well cleaned. They are decorated with many prints or well maintained. The sweapers also sweep the class after the lectures regularly. This is the very good thing I have seemed in this college.

Faculty

The faculty members are very helpful and supportive. They talk very politely to every student of the campus or college. Some faculty members I liked the most like Himanshu Sir and Harman Mam .I like them bcs they are very helpful and support every student. They talk with us very politely. Other than , I also like the chief principal mam and chief principal Sir. They behave very well mannered with us. There is no one faculty member I don't like ,they all are very supportive and calmed persons. I am a fresher student so..still I didn't give any exams but I gave my first MSTs in November last month ,and I secure 1st position in it . There is two MSTs and last final exams in each semester. In each semester the subjects are getting changed . They are not even difficult or easy but they are medium . The course is very relevant to me because I have interest in programming languages .You have to focus on languages and important subjects like Computer System Architecture.

I like miss chestha. Because the way of teaching is different from other teachers I didn't like mrs. Neenu because she always talk about their life and she repeat things again and again The exams are easy or difficult it depends upon the student if a student work hard then the exam is easy Many of the student fail because they are not attending the lecture or don't show interest in study

Campus Life

Faculty

In my class the faculty and the student relationship is very good. The faculty is so helpful to the students. They teach every topic effectively and with easy ways. They treat every student equally. The faculties I like the most is Ms. Sangeeta and Ms. Veerpal kaur. They are the best teachers according to me. I like them the most because I can literally share every problem with them even family problems too. I actually have the 2 years drop, so in start it was so difficult to study, but they help me throughout & help me in every possible way. Before the final 1st semester exams, one MST was conducted, in which I secured 1st position in my class. There are very less students who got failed may be in 1 or 2 subject but majority of the students are passed with good marks. For final PTU exam, the faculty have provided us the test series which contains previous year questions to help us to prepare fully for the final exams. Revision classes are also going on to clear our doubts. After so much practice of question papers and revision, the university exam is not going to be that difficult.

Course Curriculum Overview

Firstly I was not sure if i should do i MLS course, but after I came to this college , they cleared my vision. I don't have enough knowledge about this specific field, the montors guided me & helped me to choose the best. Now I am very happy and satisfied as being the part of MLS department. I will become a Lab technician after this course. The lab technicians plays a very important role in healthcare department. This college provides internships to practice everything. They also conducts job fairs for students such as" Umeed Job Fair "which was conducted recently in the college. The 1st year is basically is theoretical & practical knowledge, after that in 2nd or 3rd year, students gets placements.

If we talk about scholarship that is given in our university are- Merit cum scholarship ( top 10% students of respective branches) their tuition fee will be return. But returning of tuition fees is quite late procedure. PMS scholarship ( for obc,sc/st students). Faculty

Talking about faculty -to- students is good and teachers behave very politely with students. In my current semester I liked my Analog and electronics device teacher because she is very passionate for her teaching. Some faculties are quite rude. In my course in one year there are two minors each contain 15 marks. Total marks 100(50 theory paper + 50 lab/internal/external)

Course Curriculum Overview

In the course in first year all students have same courses irrespective of their branch all students have subjects of each branch like physics, chemistry, Engineering graphics Design, Conputer science ,English, Basic electronics, Mathematics,Basic Electrical engineering ,Mechanics and mechanical workshop with labs for different subjects. From 2 nd year students have their departmental subjects as I am from ECE I got analog electronics digital electronics ,analog communications ,digital communication, signal and system, power electronics , microprocessor and micro controller, RF and microwave ,VLSI , Machine Learning, Digital signal processing, Digital image processing, optical properties of devices, wireless communication, wireless sensor network, Data communication, computer networking,Data structures and algorithms etc in the whole 3 years electronics and communication engineering course . I think among all these subjects some are for core electronics, some for communication and some for Machine learning and neural networks, robotic oriented. But if they decide students According to their own choosed sector it would be more beneficial to focus on future career point of view. From first year to 3rd year students have 6 subject theory exams and 3 labs before theory started in each semester,in 4th year students have only 4 Theory subjects ,one internship presentation and one final year project. Mid semester exams held in middle of the semester and endsem in the end of semester. mid sem helds for 2 hour and endsem for 3 hour duration.

Placement Experience

From 5th sem students are allowed to participate in oncampus summar internship and from. 7th semester starting they are allowed for 6 month internship and Full time roles . There is a Training and placement Cell in our college there are some heads of this cell they are senior professors and it have final year students in senior coordinator position and 3 rd year study as probationary. Students bring the companies which fulfills the criteria of TNP cell and each company have their own eligibility criteria and selection procedure. Mostly companies allows 6 cgpa without any active backlog students . But some high paying companies requires 7 or more cgpa . In 3rd year Cisco , microsoft, public sapiens, Tech Mahindra, Accenture ,Oracle and many more companies visited in our campus and hired good amounts of students for summer internship and mostly offers full time role as ppo to students. In 4th year a lots of company like Novartis, amazon, flipkart, aditya birla, Cisco , Deloitte, oracle, ukg, Motorola, siemens , IBM and many more startups visited college and hired .Some paid 15+ CTC and some 6 to 10 CTC . Almost 40% of students are placed till December this year from each branch . Personally I'm planning for taking chances to get an online internship and then try to go for higher studies abroad in automation and robotics.

Annual function are very good nd well managed when it comes for any programme plus teachers will surely make sure it will go like smooth nd make sure students enjoy their functions nd cultural and library is very good when it comes to literature they will surely guide you if you need any guidance for any book plus they always bring new books for literature And facilities are good for teaching they already have smart board for teaching new things and make sure everyone have their learning nd get new things and over-all sports nd extracurricular activities are very active when it comes for cricket nd football and many games which provides stamina plus they will also provide tournament so you'll get many chances and social group are good although management is very strict towards bullying it will make sure no students will any activities which provide bad enviornment

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum overall offers a balanced mix of theoretical foundations and practical exposure, making it fairly relevant for students aiming to build strong academic knowledge while preparing for real-world scenarios. Below is a detailed breakdown based on various aspects of the curriculum plus Exams are generally conducted at regular intervals, which helps students stay consistent with their studies. The timing of assessments—spanning internal tests, mid-sems, and final exams—ensures that students are evaluated both continuously and comprehensively. However, sometimes exams may feel closely spaced, which can cause stress. A slightly more balanced schedule between consecutive assessments would be helpful
