The curriculum and lesson plan was prepared by the faculty members after a lot of research and visitations in the industry. Industrial visits were made every 15 days to give the students tour of the different industry and different domain so that they can understand about their interested field and other fields in details too.

All the interested candidates were filling the form online through the website of the college. The management was very helpful and offered their help at every step. The students were required to have 50% marks aggregate in class 12 and should have studied mathematics, physics and english as their core subjects.

The student will be giving entrance exam like GATE, IIT JEE or AIEEE or any other government affiliated and recognized entrance examinations which are accepted by the college or can also give the entrance exam of the college conducted by them. The student getting the best score and rank will have better chance to get offer.

Placement week was the most awaited time in a student life. The final year is the most tensed as well as tiring moment for the student since they need to undergo a lot of training programs to improve their interviewing and communication skills. These programs are organized by the college placement department.

Placements and job opportunities very good here, the annual package make records every year, we have very really bright future if we study here almost every student gets placement here. Worlds top companies like google, infosys, jindal take number of students about 98% of students get the gob of their choice having annual package of 15 lacks.

Campus life is awesome but the gender ratio is very bad in JIET their are many cultural, social, sports and technologies societies for extra curricular works and competitions are held during inter hall. In inter hall every event is covered from technology to culture to sports. In which you will find the best. and their is Inter competitions held in every year.

They are many scholarship and loan facilities are offered by our college but i an not not aware of many but i know about Scholarship for low parental income students, Inspire for other courses and many others scholarships are there, you can get the knowledge about that in academic section.

The faculty are well qualified and have a vast knowledge in there field of work. They create a healthy environment in class and they teach well. Though the ratio of student to faculty is low. But they will help you out in matter. There are many courses offered like elective and breath which you can choose if you are interested in other field.

Maximum all the student who sits for placement get 100% a job, but the over package are not get by all the students, some of the students who got placed in MNC got higher package and mostly got the average package of around 7-9 Lakhs per annum. Mostly are placed in consultancy or marketing filed some of them go to core filed.

B.Tech students go for internships after their third year. We can an accredited course which is graded on the work of our internship. Companies came like Microsoft, Google, Facebook, IBM, Xerox, Goldman Sachs. Adobe, Amazon, Flipkart, Cisco, Philips etc visit the campus. Stipend varies from 10 K per month to around 30 K per month.

Addressing the issue of practical exposure, internship is woven in the curriculum of study, which has adequate weightage in the evaluation system too. Therefore, it is suggested to students to undergo internships during summer as there is ample time available for transition from one semester to another.

A successful internship can give valuable information in making decisions about the direction of future studies or employment. An internship is an opportunity to not only use and develop industry-related knowledge and skills, but also to enhance some of the skills that are transferable to any professional work setting. This internship may be first introduction to the world of work, or one may have been exposed to professionalism many times before.

Despite offering a variety of courses, many professors are not well equipped/interested to teach the courses well. A few classes involve just reading from the slides, or inability to involve the students. That is not true of all faculty though. Most professors especially teaching system level courses are well read and explain in great detail giving interesting projects.

Internships are designed to expand the depth and breadth of academic learning in particular areas of study. It is an opportunity to receive experience in applying theories learned in the classroom to specific experiences in the community and work world. An internship can also heighten awareness of community issues, motivate to create opportunities, embrace new ideas, and give direction to positive change.

We have ample opportunities for placements. Companies from different fields visit the institute like Analytics, Consulting, Core Engineering, PSUs, Software. The packages vary quite a lot depending on the branch. Some of the big names that come for recruitment include Microsoft, Parthenon-EY, Goldman Sachs, Schlumberger, Abbott India, Deloitte, EY, BlackRock, JP Morgan, American Express, Tower Research.

The team at Training and Placement Cell works together to polish technical and behavioral skills of students. Synergy is ensured while liaisoning with various industrial establishments & corporate houses, arranging Student Counseling Sessions, organizing Industrial Visits & Off Campus Training Programs, conducting mock Group Discussions & Personal Interviews of students, inviting prominent speakers from corporates for talks on global trends & subject specific guest lectures in shaping better future for the students.

Our course was started one of the oldest course of JIET and hence the professors. Our professors have vast experience in their domain and are renowned professionals with various national and international journals under their belt. Few of the professors are even working or worked with Government of India.

For a whole year students practice, some even make new year resolution to ace at a sport and win the event at the annual sports meet. That's the power this annual sports meet holds over students. An opportunity to showcase hidden talent, a culmination of the hard work spent in honing one's skills & an opportunity to reclaim lost glories; the annual sports meet is all this and more.

Yes, the college provide internship in the third yr for four yr students. The overall selection procedure is well organised. A large number of companies are being contacted by the committee on behalf of institute to provide internship to the students.

Campus life is quite good and there is greenery all around. The gender ratio is very low. Students are from almost every state. Listening to different languages apart from yours is quite common and frequent. Student societies for each and every thing are available in the institute to follow your interest.

Alumni network of the institute is quite strong. A student body known as alumni cell is primarily focused on increasing the alumni interaction with the institute. Seniors also pass on the funds which is very necessary for a student to live a chilled life in JIET.

Placement and job opportunities are best here. Almost 1000 students get placed and apart from them some opt for higher studies. Considering the ratio and comparing it from other institutes I would say it is very good. Talking about the placement packages an average package delivered is around 8 to 10 lac per annum.

At JIET, it has been a constant endeavor to create sporting spirit fervor and the sports fever only seems to be growing with each passing academic session. Hard sweat, high energy, tons of cheering and complete fun, despite the rain and scorching heat, shows the spirit in the players for the game.

There are some good, some not good and some average faculties. Most of the professors are full of knowledge, helpful and kind. but, it is the student, who have to get to them for any help. Most of the faculties are Bengali though. One thing that i find that some faculties are only in the college for their research as a result they end up teaching non-interestingly which overall affects the students.

The course curriculum is average, though vast. Most of the time, the things are taught practically and the main focus is on the applications and the numerical. But, if one tries even an average, you shalt get good grades. There are video lectures available, e books, notes and all. Full of resources. but, still i found the curriculum a bit tough.

Placements are good. Almost 90% people above 7.5 CG gets placed. One thing is the reference that works here. It doesn't helps out all but at least some of the works can be made easy. Also, some involvement in co-curricular activities also helps. positions of responsibilities also help a little. and finally, when you make through GD and exams, its all upon you. U have to do good in interviews too.

If harnessed properly, college is an arena of opportunities. We achieve our best when tough situations raise the level of competitiveness. When we commit ourselves to excellence, our days are full of ecstasy, happiness and zeal. As we participate in college activities with a sense of responsibility, we grow.

In the pre-final year, companies come for hiring interns. Every company has different stipends. Companies provide stipends up to INR 20,000 for the two months summer internship period along with other perks like accommodation in a 5-star hotel for a week and commuting fare. There is also a good opportunity for receiving a pre-placement offer from these companies.

Campus life was amazing, roaming around with friends at a nice place, gossiping and laughing in canteen, poking fun at every possible scenario, enjoying sunny winter days on playgrounds all this makes life just perfect. But sometimes disappointment engulfs us in the journey and questions arise in mind

The main highlight of our college is undoubtedly our management.From managing the student affairs to college affairs they are one of the best.Actually we are proud to represent ourselves as the students of regional college.As our college is having a good name in the state,we are lucky to join in this college.

Coming to the Alumni network,we have a nice interaction with our seniors in and out of our college from our second year onwards .Because the student chapter members include students from all the years students from second to third years.Also the events conducted are related to Technical and Non Technical too.

I had a brief idea of what to expect at regional college, when I made my decision to enroll here rather than many other institutes closer to home. An esteemed School, has given me an opportunity to learn from highly qualified and dynamic individuals imparting knowledge to and developing the skills of decidedly motivated and enthusiastic students from diversified cultures and backgrounds.

The teachers are very helpful, yet provides a ground for students to learn and fall at the same time. They made me feel right at home. The faculties in the college are very well equipped with knowledgeable and has all the desired skills required for teaching a particular subject. In most cases a single faculty has the expertise in more than one subject teaching a diverse range of subjects during the duration of the course. The faculties are well qualified and justified for the subjects they teach from practcial to theoretical knowledge everything.

420 students opted for book bank scheme for the year 2008-12 which costs Rs 2500 for the entire course. This scheme runs on the premise that each student should posses at least one text book for each subject throughout his/her 4 years of study to go through the standard text books only to get more knowledge. Therefore Huge number of students are availing this facility.

The Digital Library having 30 Computers connected on LAN allows browsing the Internet for Academic Purpose. The Library has IEL and Del Net,N-Digital ,IEEE online subscription through which one can access specialized bibliographic database of books and Journals. The media room of Digital Library also has 1805general educational CDs and 475 SONET CDs.

Every senior or alumni I meet recall their experiences related to my university. They say "it is one place you will miss the most after you leave from there". I try to make the most of what little time i have in my college. Even though I am sure, I am going to miss this place afterwards.

They have several research papers published in reputed journals. In every semester, some teachers become one's favorites, primarily due to their teaching style.
