Oxford Brookes University is a public research university in Headington, Oxford, in the United Kingdom. The founding year of the university can be traced to 1865 when the university was founded as the Oxford School of Art. The school underwent several changes over the years, and in 1992, Oxford Polytechnic became Oxford Brookes University; named in honor of its former principal, John Henry Brookes. The university is a member of the University Alliance (UA), an association of universities to drive innovation across Britain.

Oxford Brookes University Campus

  • Oxford Brookes University operates with four campuses which are: Harcourt Hill, Headington, Swindon, and Wheatley.
  • All the campuses are easily accessible and connected to the city via BROOKESBus Services.
  • The institute offers a fun learning life with 100 student societies open to all the students. Also, students will find various cafes, restaurants and dining areas to satisfy their hunger on-campus.
  • There are four libraries at Oxford Brookes available to students but students can access six other libraries sites from other universities and centers.
  • Under the umbrella of the student union are 34 students’ sports clubs available at Oxford Brookes to men and women.
  • Students are known for their volunteering activities through a student-led group called Brookes Hub. Through Brookes Hub, the students have organized volunteering activities at a local care home while also running IT classes for the aged.
  • In 2017, the students have raised more than 67,000 GBP in an attempt to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation’s Pack for Good Campaign.
  • The Brookes Sport Botley facility at the university Harcourt campus incorporates a 55-station fitness suite, heated swimming pool, squash courts, tennis courts, rugby and football pitches, physiotherapy clinic, etc. the facility has equipments that support disabled usage.

  • There are 148 undergraduate programs for the September 2021 entry and 183 for the September 2020 entry open to international students.

    UNIVERSITY REVIEW

    For academic reasons. It is one of the best universities in the world. They have a large Russian department and a research program for experts in the field. They give you the chance to attend very small classes (1 or 2 people).


    Course Curriculum - 

    The curriculum is excellent. In the first year, you get given an overview of both subjects. In the final years, you get to choose specific modules. There is a large variety of choices. With a Languages degree, you also get a year abroad
