Dibrugarh University Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The placement for CSE is good. Around 70% of students are getting placed every year. Wipro, TCS and many other companies and IT companies hire students from the CSE branch. In mechanical placement is average around 40% of students get placed every year. OIL, NRL, APDCL, IOCL etc PSU's came and hire students from the mechanical branch along with the privet companies. Placement of CIVIL is not so good and electrical is quite average. In IE placement in not so good.

Since it was near my hometown I opted for this university. The teaching staff is amazing here. They constantly push you towards achieving any goal, big or small. The department has its own EMRC building which consists of all the necessary equipment that a Mass Communication class needs. My admission was done through an Entrance exam which was conducted by the Mass Communication department. First, a written test and then the selected candidates were required to sit for a group discussions round. Based on the written test and GD, around 50 students were shortlisted out of 150-200.

I select the college because this sibsagar Commerce college is located in the central area of Sivasagar District. The campus is suburban and very beautiful with a big tank near the college. The environment is peaceful and calming for the students. Also there areown canteen and library at the college. The college has wifi and others facilities. It organises a college week every year also some other programs, seminars and other important activities for students. The college is best in all aspects. The teachers of the college is highly qualified and good in explaining things. They helps every student if they face any problem and make them participate in other extra activities also. They are friendly and not rigid. There is a computer lab also. The courses at the college are in higher secondary, undergraduate and postgraduate level. The fees vary in every course almost 10-20 thousands. The undergraduate courses are B.com, BCA, and BA and the postgraduate level courses are M.Com and PGDCA. Admission to all undergraduate programs are based on merit basis and for M.Com, an entrance is to be given by students which is held by the Dibrugarh University with which the college is affiliated. The students may receive scholarships of central government or government of Assam where the teachers and staff of the college helps students to get information and apply. There are popular major for commerce and arts such as accountancy, banking, e-commerce, marketing and human resource management. For arts, Economics, English, Sociology etc.The college provides some government courses and professional diploma courses of 1 year that are hospitality management, GST, mass communication, beautician etc. which are provided by government (Skill development courses). The college provides hostel facility to girls on the campus. And for boys out of campus. But the college campus is too small. And the pass percentage is not more than 50 percentage. As DHSK College is probably the most nearest college from my home, so I chose to study here. Even my brother has done his studies from this college, so it will provide me with a greater understanding relation with the teachers as well.

The education sytem of Nerim is really good, and moreover the teachers beyond the expectation. The library is of the college campus is the place where i used to spend most of the time. I always had a keen interest towards how a company works. I always wanted to become an HR, which made me study this particular subject.

The placement possibilities are quite low. The recruiter barely comes to this college. But for a good student, it's easy to get a job. The interviews are tricky and depend on the mood of the recruiter. Placement facilities are not that good.

There were no campus placements in Dibrugarh's degree colleges. It is just a certified bachelor degree courses where you will get your passing degree certificate after three year course is passed successfully

This university is best to get distance education as we get quality education here. And the support material I.e the syllabus provided to us is also very good and effective according to me it's a great university to be a part of even from distance.

I wad very poor from childhood itself. My father somehow managed to complete my school then he did not have the capability to teach me further but I had the zeal to studer further. And also my marks in twelfth class was good so I got admission in this college.

If you want to enjoy the 3 years of college life.. This college is for you. I enjoyed a lot here and also got the different art skills from here. I'm always thankful to each and every faculty of this college.
