Yes the education system is very good but the college is very strict since we are not allow to go outside of the college boundary till 2pm. But i think this is good and proved benifited for the students

I am a local boy from Jorhat. I read my 10+2 in Jagannath Barooah College. So that I easily got admission in the same college in the ex-JBian qouta. Jagannath Barooah College is a famous college of Assam and it also located in our own place. So that I got admission in J. B. College.

I wanted to study in this college when I was in class ten because it is one of the best colleges of Assam. My cousin brother passed out from Jagannath Barooah College and now he is a civil service officer. So this thing encourage me to read in this college.

I chose this college as it was autonomous in execution and also because it was located in my hometown and as such for easy communication and transportation I chose this college. Moreover the teaching quality of this college is excellent.

Remarks:
As a local boy my first choice after Higher secondary to read in Jagannath Barooah College. This is one of the best colleges of Assam. Because of I pursued my higher secondary in Jagannath Barooah College, I able to got seats in the same college in the quota and now I am a JBian.

I was in the science stream during my HS. But I realised that I would do good in Humanities, and shall do my graduation in English. I got to know from my cousin (ex JB student) that the Department of English in JB is good. So, I gave the entrance exam (EHSET 2019 or English Honours Selection Test 2019) and got selected.

Remarks:
The location. It has an epic scenery. U never get bored even if ur outside of the college. There is a lake just on its outskirts which are beleived to be made by the mighty Ahoms who ruled Assam for 600 years. Then there is the Joydol(a temple dated back to the Ahom dynasty).These sceneries tempted me to take admission in this particular college.

Delhi university is a reputated university. Also, the course fee was v low compared to other universities. The faculty is very good and helpful. They solve all your doubts. Also My college has lots of extra circular activities which will help me in my future.

During the first year, the students of all branches will have a common classroom for all subjects. It is from the 3rd semester that you will be well acquainted with respective branches. The teachers are very dedicated and cooperative and the classes are held regularly.
Alongside academics, you would be left with enough time to excel through various extra-curricular activities. The annual tech fest “Auxesis” is held every odd semester and the University Week is held every even semester. The workload becomes exhausting during these semesters.
The campus is serene and splendid. The greenery everywhere brings out the best of the serene beauty and creates an enthusiastic environment for studying. Overall, your college time here would be terrific.
Everyone has their own individual perspective and opinions thus; your experience might be very much different and better too.
