- The faculty members of our department are very helpful and all are experienced teachers and their teaching methods are also good.
- The campus of the university is very beautiful and calm.
- Hostel facilities are also very good, the hostel infrastructures are very good and the hygiene is also well maintained in the hostels .
Dislikes
- The over stress because of the exam pattern
- Even though the university excells in academic excellence but the pressure is too much high. More extra curricular activities may nitiated.
- Not much funded nternships are provided by the University or departments.

Most probably the students are made aware of internships and jobs during the 5th semester.
Popular brands like AMUL, ITC, Britannia, etc have visited the university for campus placement and the total number of offers made during the session 20-21 is 25.
The highest package was around 5.5 lpa and the average was about 4.09 lpa.
After graduating I might apply for placements or pursue my masters

Almost all students are placed who study hard in college.placement percentage is less but considering north east quota having 60% students admitted also on 200000 to 500000 rank placement is good if you neglect those students.Keep in mind if you study well here then you will end up getting job after 4 years.If you don't study well then you might not get job.so come in this college only when you are sure that you will study.

As I told you if you are at Tezpur University, you don't need to worry about your placements. From the second year, you are eligible to go through various training sessions. In our Civil department, the average package is 5lakhs and the highest is 23 lakhs

Placement is a bit low here because of the location of the university however many MNCs like TCS, Wipro, and Capgemini come for placement. Many students prepare for GATE or go for higher students in their domain.

Placement Experience:
The campus placement percentage of BTech in mechanical is about 70%. the average package of ME is about 6 lpa. several national and international companies like Luit minerals, cognizant technology solutions, Edventure, tech Mahindra, Infosys etc. come here to recruit every year. the highest package of ME is about 36 lakh lpa recruited by Infosys. total 268 offers are given by companies up to now. Students can sit in the campus placement cell from the 7th semester. some of the PSU companies like OIL INDIA, BHEL, power grid etc. come to recruit here. My plan after completing my BTech degree is to join PSU companies either by campus placement or by GATE scores.

More then 300+ companies which are coming here for placements. Like Wipro ,ITC
Patanjali and TECH Mahindra ,Amdani adani etc. visits every year.
Highest pakeges for CSE is 37.5Lpa and same goes for the other branches. In every department 5-6 students are offered 9-10 lpa and rest goes in between 4-6 lpa.
70- 80% students are placed Evey year in several good companies.
I will try to participate in gate exam to crack IIT for my future M.Tech studies.Many students also do M.tech from this university also.

Placement Experience:
Placement rate of school of engineering tezpur is not so great as compared to nits but still it has a decent placement rate with and from 6th semester i.e 3rd year one is eligible to sit for placement and if you are skilled then there's high chance of getting you placed.
CSE=6lpa with 90% placement rate
Civil=4.22lpa with 60% placement rate
Mech=5.5 lpa with 35% placement rate
ECE= 4.93lpa with 80% placement rate
Electrical=4.71 with 40% placement rate
FET=4.19 with 32% placement rate

The company comes for placement and students get eligible from 7th semester to sit for placement. Most of the tech companies and MnC like Capegimini, Wipro, Cognizant comes for placement. Placement is getting better and post covid many companies like Hashedin, Hexaware, NetCracker also visted. If you are from circuital branch you have good chance of getting placed on campus however many students have gone off campus and have grabbed many much better and high package. Most of the students in core are either preaparing for GATE or go to higher studies. PSU like OIL,Power Grid, State Electricity Board also visit the campus for placement and mostly core students get placed into them.

Placement Experience:
From the seven semesters, students are eligible for the placements. A good number of company visits to campus for placement drives. Some companies are OIL, L&T, Tata Technology, Amazon, Cognizant, Capgemini, etc. Each company gives almost 7-8 offers and some IT giants give 15-20 offers. For OIL, senior officer profile, the Package is almost between 15-20 lakhs per annum. almost 80-90% of students get placed. I am planning to go for a job after the degree.

Placement Experience:
Placements are as expected by a tier-3 college with an average CTC of 4LPA. But looking on the brighter side Amazon came in 2022. placements and took 1 student from CSE with 35LPA. So, if you're good you'll get a good job.
Many core companies such as L&T, Alstom, etc. with an average CTC of 6.5 LPA also recruit.

One of my friends attended Tezpur University. His experience with the university has not been good. Here are some of the things that she shared with me.
- The administration there is headed by only one person and the VC is not cooperative.
- You will get in trouble if any of your batch mates get involved in any misbehavior.
- Attending classes there is very important and otherwise, you may not be allowed to do your internships.
- The library is inadequate. The wifi facility on campus is also not that good.
- The placement record of the institute is average. The average CTC offered at the recent placement drive was 3.5 LPA.
So, if you have other better options go for it.

What is your review of mechanical engineering department, Tezpur University?

One of my friends studied Mechanical at Tezpur University. Let me share his experiences and knowledge about the college. He, being a student there, will know the intricacies of the college and how they function.
- Faculty: The mechanical department hosts a really good faculty. Most of them are good at teaching and all of them have a great research-oriented mindset.
- Projects: About 80% of the projects are based on numerical simulations. These include optimization, analysis, modeling, developing CFD solvers, Comsol modeling and the rest are mainly experimental.
- Specialization: The department mainly started its M.Tech course in 2013 with a specialization in Applied mechanics. The Thermal and Fluid Engineering specialization began in 2016 and from 2018 onwards, another specialization in Machine Design was also started. The department is definitely growing with time.

Overall, the mechanical department at Tezpur University is not as good as IITs but it is much better than many private as well as newly built NITs in the country.
