- The faculty members of our department are very helpful and all are experienced teachers and their teaching methods are also good.
- The campus of the university is very beautiful and calm.
- Hostel facilities are also very good, the hostel infrastructures are very good and the hygiene is also well maintained in the hostels .
Dislikes
- The over stress because of the exam pattern
- Even though the university excells in academic excellence but the pressure is too much high. More extra curricular activities may nitiated.
- Not much funded nternships are provided by the University or departments.

- Hostel rules, gate rules, girls aren't allowed outside after 8:30 however boys are. After 9:30 gates are closed of girls hostel, leave application takes too much time
- Food quality is very bad in hostels. Complaints do not work.
Placement Experience:
Students become eligible for campus placement in their 7th semester for engineering.
About 7-8 companies visited and average package is 350000.
Highest package- 800000 (it took only 1 student)
About 15-20% students get placed.

- campus life is very good everything is available for recreational activities
- faculties are well qualifies some are from foreign universities and iits
- infrastructure is good there is 24x 7 water and power supply
Dislikes
- very less diversity almost all people are from native state ,
- food quality is not up to the mark ,almost same in all the hostel
- reach is very difficult far away from main town .
Placement Experience:
you will eligible in 7 sem for the placement less companies vist for the computer science branch ,but the placement scenario for the core branches like mechanical civil electrical are good.highest package is somewhat around 18lpa and averge package is 4-5 lpa

- No Active Club Activities and Extracurricular Culture.
- There is zero to none on campus placement
- The Wi-Fi facility is very poor all over the campus
Course Curriculum Overview:
The branch electrical is very widely appreciated and used and this college offered a lot of infrastructure. However, in reality the laboratories in the department are just for show and they dont allow you to touch the appliances.The teachers here are not able to express their knowledge if they have any, you will learn everything by yourself and your friends here only. There are 4 exams in a semester. Sessional 1( 25 marks ), Mid - Term( 40 marks ), Sessional 2 (Assignment based 25 marks)and the End Term( 60 Marks ).

- Location is remote Nearest Town area and Railway Station is located far around 10 kms
- 60% State Quota of North East giving less opportunities to Rest of Students as it is a central University it should considerable for all
- Locations Near University are not Well Developed

In Engineering From around 3rd Year you can get Proper internships and Placement opportunities where you can showcase your skill level and understandings also Many Reputed Companies come for placement giving avg packages around 8 lakhs in top branches Highest Package last year was 36 Lakhs on campus 60 lakhs Off campus.Around 85% Students gets placed in TU.

Course Curriculum Overview:
I want to start my career in the Business sector, so that's why I chose it.
The professors at TU were true professionals and they have always guided and motivated students.
Our exams were difficult to pass and we had 2 semester exams and also midterms. We have to finish our assignments before exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:
This course was chosen by me as I wanted to further my career in the field of accounting and finance. The faculty-to-student ratio is 1:33. The small batch size made it easier to have interactive sessions and we had continuous evaluations with four types of examinations across the semester totaling 150 marks. Students needed 60 marks in total for each subject to pass the semester. Most of the faculty were permanent and had Ph.D. degrees. We also had visiting faculties from different colleges.

- Every department have its own separate building
- Hostel facility are very good including food

- Placement not so good here . You have to do more on you .
- As it does not come under NIT or IIT , its don't have any brand value
Placement Experience:
From 3 years you can apply for placement. The highest package for this year is 44 LPA, and the average is around 10 LPA.
Nearly 25-30 companies visited this year.
The percentage of placement is around 60 percent.
Although the percentage is low if you have a talent you can apply for off-campus.
I would like to have a placement.

- The greenery in the campus is definitely every student enjoys.
- The infrastructure of the university is very good but somewhat feels it is underutilized.
- The teachers here are very friendly and gives a positive vibes from the students point of view.
Dislikes
- The placement scenario is very bad. Its technically almost 0.
- The lack of hygienic foods in and off campus is a matter of concern.
- The lack of Electrical Engineering departmental building is something any EE student would dislike the most.
Placement Experience:
The placements at Tezpur University are rather a nightmare. It offers very less opportunities in terms of placements. Big companies do not visit the campus. Mostly TCS visits the university and recruits the freshers. From our batch the highest package received was 6LPA and only 3-4 people were placed with below-average packages. The % of students getting placed is very low even for a central university. Maximum students need to opt for higher studies or go for off-campus placement due to lack of placement.

Course Curriculum Overview:
Course Curriculum is a bit hectic but one of the best for overall development. One has to study Chemistry and Maths till the 3rd semester along with Major Subjects. So they get knowledge of all the basic science subjects apart from their Major subjects.

The average placement of our department last year was about 4.93LPA and almost 80% of students got placed. The placement scenario is changing and good companies have started to visit the campus post covid. Many PSU too comes for direct recruitment. Students in the core branch either prepare for GATE or aim for higher studies.

One of my friends attended Tezpur University. His experience with the university has not been good. Here are some of the things that she shared with me.
- The administration there is headed by only one person and the VC is not cooperative.
- You will get in trouble if any of your batch mates get involved in any misbehavior.
- Attending classes there is very important and otherwise, you may not be allowed to do your internships.
- The library is inadequate. The wifi facility on campus is also not that good.
- The placement record of the institute is average. The average CTC offered at the recent placement drive was 3.5 LPA.
So, if you have other better options go for it.

One of my friends studied Mechanical at Tezpur University. Let me share his experiences and knowledge about the college. He, being a student there, will know the intricacies of the college and how they function.
- Faculty: The mechanical department hosts a really good faculty. Most of them are good at teaching and all of them have a great research-oriented mindset.
- Projects: About 80% of the projects are based on numerical simulations. These include optimization, analysis, modeling, developing CFD solvers, Comsol modeling and the rest are mainly experimental.
- Specialization: The department mainly started its M.Tech course in 2013 with a specialization in Applied mechanics. The Thermal and Fluid Engineering specialization began in 2016 and from 2018 onwards, another specialization in Machine Design was also started. The department is definitely growing with time.

Overall, the mechanical department at Tezpur University is not as good as IITs but it is much better than many private as well as newly built NITs in the country.
