Hostel Facilities :

For the first year had a 2 sharing room in Sarabhai Bhawan. In the second year, it was a single occupancy room with a table, chair, whiteboard, bed and mattress, pillow. The mess facility at the hostel is awesome. There was a night canteen system at the hostel which used to open from 11 pm to 3 am.

Hostel here and quite good and are kept clean. All the repair works if want is done as soon as informed to the incharge of your wing. Hostels have mess, tv room, study room, parking for cycles, library, gym, table-tennis room. Hostels are well equipped with WIFI with good speeds. Meal quality is quite good and the menu changes every 1 or 2 months. Specially for girls their mess and food quality is better then many restaurants.

Hostel Facilities :

There are 9 hostels in the campus. Most hostels are single occupied, but there are some which is sharing between two. Mostly if students availed are less, some may get the room for himself. The rooms are neat and are cleaned twice in a week. Also, hostels are to be changed when we go to the next year.

For females, single room is allotted to everyone. A single room consists of a balcony and required furniture (bed frames, desks and chairs, cupboards, white boards) There are a total of 8 floors, each floor has 100 rooms and each corner of a floor has washrooms, which consists of proper amounts of toilet stalls and shower stalls. Hostel has 2 mess rooms, food is good but sometimes it's oily. But majority of students are satisfied with the mess food. Also, has a canteen which opens in the evening, so you can grab a snack after classes. Canteen reopens at night till early morning.

"A dream come true or just waste of time money and efforts?"

I applied for BITS, VIT but did not attend those because of high fees. When I entered the SVNIT campus we were asked to vist the CCC in front of the Electrical Engineering Department to verify the details and for other admission processes. We were to submit the remaining fees and also were given the chance to enroll in Special Round. After depositing the fees and getting the fee slip we were asked to apply for hostel rooms. College doesn't allow students to select their roommate in the first year and there is a rule that every other state student must stay with a student from Gujarat in the first year. We were allotted rooms in the New Class Room Complex after we submitted the Hostel and me
