How are the civil engineering placements in SVNIT?

Intel and Marvell Semiconductor visit the campus seeking VLSI, Communication systems and Computer Science students. They do not make direct recruitments. Instead, they hire students as interns and then later offer them PPOs. Bombardier, Qualcomm and General Electric hire from M.Tech Electrical. L & T hires Civil and Mechanical students, and WSP hires Civil students. Akash institute, Base and WiFi visit for teaching recruitments. M.Tech placements are average at even the IITs. I would recommend you look for off-campus placements as well.

The highest package offered here is 37.50 LPA while the average CTC ranges from 4-7 LPA. In order to get a placement to try to secure a CGPA pointer of above 6.5 by the end of your degree. It's safe if your CGPA is 7 and above. One of the best ways is to do that, get a good pointer in the first year (8 and above), and then continue to secure above 6.5 to keep it above 7. Obviously, the placements are great because of the NIT tag, but it will be of no use if you hold a second-class degree, with a lot of back papers. So, I would like to advise you to just focus on your studies.

Talking about the placements , SVNIT stands in front like other NITs. Recently convocation was held to honor the degrees. Talking about my branch, various companies arrive and offer decent packages. These companies include reliance, Aarti industries etc. various students prepare for GATE and join PSUs like Kribhco, ONGC and more .. In previous year , chemical engineering branch holds the highest rate of placement in the institute of atound 85% in which highest package was around 14 LPA and average package being atound 9 LPA.
