You want the fee back fast: the INR 3.48 Lakhs fee is lower than the INR 5.76 LPA median pay.

Skip it if:
You want a quick corporate job: the career list leans to research, lab, ecology and higher study paths.

You need a small batch: NIRF lists 1000 first-year seats across UG four-year programmes.

FAQs on Christ University B.Sc Life Sciences

Straight answers to what students ask before they decide.

Is B.Sc Life Sciences at Christ University worth the fee?▾
Yes, if you want research and lab study at a known private university. The full fee without hostel is INR 3.48 Lakhs, and NIRF UG four-year data shows INR 5.76 LPA median pay. Check the fee block if you plan to use a loan.
Should I take this course if I want a research career?▾
Yes, this is one of the clearer fits on the page. The department started in 1969, the course has 8 semesters, and the page lists undergraduate research. Use the course if you plan for MSc, lab work or exams after graduation.
What job can I get after this course?▾
You can aim for research assistant, plant sciences, lab, conservation, aquaculture and medical lab roles. The course page lists those paths, and NIRF UG four-year data shows INR 5.76 LPA median pay. Check the placement role list before you decide.
Who should skip this course at Christ University?▾
Skip it if you want a quick corporate job with little lab work. The course leans to biology, ecology, research and higher study. If you dislike practical classes or field study, pick a course with a clearer office-job path.
Is the fee worth it against the pay?▾
It can be worth it if you finish the course and use the research or lab path well. The no-hostel fee is INR 3.48 Lakhs, and the median pay is INR 5.76 LPA in NIRF UG four-year data. Compare hostel cost before paying.
Should I choose this over a plain B.Sc Botany or Zoology?▾
Choose this if you want both Botany and Zoology exposure before the later track choice. The course has 2 specialisations and 8 semesters. If you already know one subject deeply, ask Christ how the track papers differ.
Is Christ University right for higher studies after this course?▾
Yes, if you plan early. The department page says the courses prepare students for JAM, GATE, CSIR NET and research proposals. Use the course for MSc or research, and keep your lab record strong from the first year.
Will I get placed if I am not among the top students?▾
It depends on your skills and the roles you target. NIRF data shows 371 of 524 UG four-year graduates were placed, which is 71%. Build lab, writing and data skills early, because life science hiring checks practical work.
Should I wait a year for a better course?▾
Wait only if you want a very different path, like medicine, engineering or a single subject honours course. This page shows a low fee of INR 3.48 Lakhs and a research-heavy path. If biology research fits you, apply this cycle.
Is Bangalore useful for this course?▾
Yes, Bengaluru helps because labs, hospitals, research offices and biotech companies are nearby. The campus is in the city, so guest talks and internships are easier to search for. Still, ask the department which internships students got last year.
How do I get admission to this course?▾
You apply on the Christ admission portal, pay the application fee and attend the selection step if listed. The offer letter appears in your login if selected. Keep Class 10, Class 11 and Class 12 marks ready before the deadline.
Can I pay the fee in parts?▾
Christ lists yearly fee dates and also has a fee support office. The course fee is INR 85,000 a year plus a one-time INR 8,000 registration fee. Ask the admission office in writing before you count on paying in parts.
Does Christ University give scholarships for this course?▾
Yes, Christ lists merit scholarship, financial assistance and alumni support routes. The calculator uses INR 40,000 to INR 2 Lakhs as estimated help. You need marks or income papers, and the final approval comes from the university.
Is hostel sure for this course?▾
No, treat hostel as a separate choice. The fee block uses INR 40,000 a year as a room estimate, and mess may be separate. Check the hostel page after selection, because rooms and rules can change by hall.

Does Christ University Bangalore offer placements for Law courses?

Vipul MishraLLM in Intellectual Property and Trade Law from Christ University (2016 - 2018 Batch)

SLCU Christ University is one of the best private Law colleges in India. SLCU Law ranking by IIRF is 16 out of 50 in India in 2024 and it was ranked #17 out of 70 by India Today in 2023.

I did my LLM in Intellectual Property and Trade Law from SLCU Christ University in 2018. I can say it is one of the top private universities to do LLM courses because of its education Quality, teaching methods, etc. SLCU offers decent placements with lucrative offers and high ROI. The Department has a seperate placement cells which guides and trains students for placements, how to face Group discussions for interviews, etc. Right from the final semester SLCU's active placement cells starts teaching students; how to sit for the interview, to talk and negotiate for high package, building an attractive CV, etc. The average CTC package when I completed my graduation at SLCU Christ University was between INR 4 - 7 LPA and for sure it is above INR 7 LPA these days. Luthra and Luthra, S&R Associates, Khaitan & Co., Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas and AZB & Partners are some top recruiters in SLCU for LLM graduates.

Is pursuing LLM at School of Law, Christ University expensive?

Uttam KumarLLM from Christ University (2021 Batch)

Christ University has a separate school for its law course that is School of Law - Christ University. SLCU offers several Law courses at UG, PG, Diploma and Doctorate level. It offers 3 LLM courses at a fees Structure ranging between INR 1,50,000 - 2,50,000 based on LLM specializations.

Pursuing a LLM course from SLCU Christ University Bangalore at a fees of INR 2.50 Lakhs is not expensive as per my perspective. For financially weaker students, SLCU Christ University Bangalore also provides Education Loan and many scholarships. I myself was one such user to get Scholarships from Christ University. Scholarships at SLCU are offered based on academic results of a student during LLM course. When compared to other colleges offering LLM and the Education Quality and facilities offered at Christ University, fees is reasonable.

Can I pursue LLB from Christ University without BBA or BA?

Rohan TiwariLLM from Christ University (2016 Batch)

No, you cannot pursue LLB from Christ University without BBA or BA. My name is Rohan Tiwari. I have completed an LLM from Christ University. This is the same question that I had before.

Christ University, Bangalore offers different law courses including integrated LLB and LLM. School of love Christ University does not offer a direct LLB course. Candidates wishing to pursue LLB course must have to complete 10 + 2 or any Bachelors Degree for minimum 3 years. One cannot opt LLB without any prior Bachelor's degree. But if anyone likes to do only LLB then they have to spend 1 year extra which means that if someone has intentionally or unintentionally completed a 3-years degree course like BA, BCom, BBA, etc. then one can pursue a 3 years LLB course. So I have done BA Hons from Pune University but due to the transfer of my father, we relocated to Bangalore and later on I got interested in Law studies so I opted for a 3-years LLB course at Christ University. I spent 6-years for BA and LLB courses. So according to my experience it is better to pursue integrated LLB courses with BBA / BA or BCom, etc.

Aisha KhanMBA Marketing from Christ University (2015 - 2017 Batch)

I have completed my MBA from Christ University. I have good connections with Christ University, and they call me for counseling and mentoring the current MBA batches. Mostly I come across the question of whether science graduates can pursue an MBA at Christ University.

First of all, candidates who wish to get admission into Christ University must be well acquainted with the eligibility criteria set by the University for MBA admission. Aspirants must complete a Bachelor's degree in any stream with a minimum aggregate of 60%. In addition to that, they must qualify MAT / CAT / CMAT / XAT / GMAT / GRE / ATMA. Finally, shortlisted candidates are called for GD/ PI and document verification.

You are eligible for MBA admissions at Christ University Bangalore with a Bachelor’s in any stream, as long as you fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria.

Do I need Work Experience to be selected by Christ University for an MBA?

Shahzad KhanMBA Human Resources Management from Christ University (2017 - 2019 Batch)

As a Christ University student, I would like to answer this question for you.

I have completed an MBA in Human Resources Management from Christ University in 2019. As per my knowledge, experience plays an important role in MBA admission into any top College/ University like Christ.

MBA Admissions at Christ University are entrance-based. Aspirants must qualify an MBA entrance and face GD PI rounds to get admission. For some MBA specializations and Executive MBA, one may also be asked for a minimum of 1-2 years of work experience in the relevant field.

After my bachelor's, I started working in a 4-star hotel and took a break from my studies. There I worked for 2 years and gained important knowledge and skills. I was given preference over other candidates because of my work experience.

This is how work experience plays a role in MBA admissions at Christ University.
