Christ University M.Com Eligibility
You need 50% aggregate in your degree, and 45% is enough for SC and ST students. The degree has to be B.Com, BBM or BBA from a university that UGC or AIU recognises. Final year students can apply, but you must clear the 50% bar when the result comes. Christ checks this at the form stage, so a wrong claim costs you the seat.

Should you pick M.Com at Christ University?
This course suits students who want an audit, tax or accounting job after a commerce degree.
Pick it if:
You want an audit or tax job: EY, Deloitte, KPMG and PwC hire from this campus every year, and EY alone made 143 offers.
You want a commerce campus, not a mixed one: the School of Commerce takes 49.2% of all the offers Christ students get.
You want to study inside Bengaluru: the Central Campus sits on Hosur Road, and the big audit firms have offices in the same city.
You want the fee back fast: at the NIRF median pay the full fee comes back inside the first working year.
Skip it if:
You are counting on a top offer: Christ placed 1,570 PG students last year, so the median pay is much lower than the best.
You want a fund or trading job: the firms that hire here most are audit and tax firms, not fund houses.
You want a hostel room with food: the hostel fee covers only the room and maintenance, so you pay for meals outside.
You will apply only in May: Christ holds three selection rounds from December, and the later rounds work on the seats still left.
Counsellor's advice
Take this seat if you want an audit or tax job and can pay the full INR 2.56 Lakhs. If you want a fund or trading job, look for a course with those recruiters.

Pick your degree and your marks. Christ publishes no closing rank, so these are the rules it checks.

Your degree marks
B.Com, BBA or BBM · 75% and above

Yes, you clear the 50% marks bar. The entrance test and the interview decide the rest, so book a slot in the first selection round.
B.Com, BBA or BBM · 50% to 59%
You just clear the 50% marks bar. Christ still takes your form, but the entrance test and the interview carry the weight, so prepare for both.

Not yet. Christ asks for 50% aggregate in your degree, and 45% only for SC and ST students.
Any other degree · 75% and above
Not for M.Com. Christ asks for B.Com, BBM or BBA, and high marks in another degree do not change that rule.
Any other degree · 60% to 74%
Not for M.Com. Christ asks for B.Com, BBM or BBA, so a different degree does not qualify, whatever the marks.
Any other degree · 50% to 59%
Not for M.Com. Christ asks for B.Com, BBM or BBA with 50% aggregate, and your degree misses the first rule.
Any other degree · Below 50%
Not for M.Com. Your degree misses the B.Com, BBM or BBA rule and your marks miss the 50% bar.
EDITOR'S NOTE
Christ publishes no closing rank and no entrance test score for M.Com. The marks bar only makes you eligible; the entrance test, the skill assessment and the interview decide who gets the seat.

In short
St Joseph's University costs INR 36,000 less over the two years, but its NIRF median pay is INR 1.9 LPA lower than Christ University's. If the fee decides it for you, take St Joseph's University; if the recruiter list does, stay with Christ University.
In short
St Joseph's College of Commerce costs INR 35,000 less and teaches commerce only, but it has no hostel of its own and publishes no pay figure. Take it only if you can arrange a room and are happy to judge it on the fee alone.
In short
Kristu Jayanti University costs INR 70,000 less and its NIRF median pay is INR 1.1 LPA higher than Christ University's. If those two numbers decide it, take Kristu Jayanti University; if the city campus and the recruiter list matter more, stay with Christ University.
In short
Jain (Deemed-to-be University) costs INR 16,000 less at its cheapest specialisation, but it publishes no median pay for this course. If you cannot check its placement record, Christ University is the safer of the two.

FAQs on Christ University M.Com
Straight answers to what students ask before they decide.
Is M.Com at Christ University worth the fee?▾
Yes, for most students who get placed. The full fee without a hostel room is INR 2.56 Lakhs, and NIRF 2025 puts the median pay for a two-year PG course here at INR 6.98 LPA, so the fee comes back inside the first working year. Check the EMI line in the fee block above if a loan will pay it.
What job will I get after this course?▾
Most students go into audit, tax and accounting work. EY, Deloitte, KPMG and PwC hire on this campus, and EY alone made 143 offers in 2024-25. The School of Commerce took 49.2% of all Christ offers that year. If you want a fund or trading job instead, look at the recruiter list before you decide.
Who should skip this course here?▾
Skip it if you want a hostel room with food, or if you want a small batch. The hostel fee at Christ covers only the room and maintenance, so you pay for meals outside. Christ placed 1,570 PG students in 2024-25, so the placement cell handles a large batch. If either matters more than the recruiter list, pick a smaller college.
Should I take this seat if I just clear 50% in my degree?▾
Yes, you can still apply. Christ asks for 50% aggregate, and 45% for SC and ST students, so 50% makes you eligible. It does not decide the seat, though. The entrance test, the skill assessment and the interview do. Use the seat checker above for your own degree and marks.
Is this course good for higher studies or research?▾
Yes, if you plan for it early. The second year carries a research project, and Christ holds a PhD programme in commerce on the same campus. Talk to your department in the first year about a project with a faculty member, because that is what a good PhD application needs.
Should I wait a year and apply again?▾
Only if your degree marks or your entrance test will really improve. Christ holds three selection rounds each year, so you can try a later round in the same year instead of losing twelve months. Ask yourself what will change in a year before you give up the seat.
Will I get placed if my degree marks are only average?▾
Most likely yes, but later and at a lower package. The median pay of INR 6.98 LPA is much lower than the best offers, because the students placed last take the smaller ones. Keep your attendance and your semester marks up, and join the training the placement cell holds in the first year.
Is Bengaluru a good choice for a commerce student?▾
Yes, for audit and finance work. The big audit firms that hire from Christ have offices in the city, so interviews and internships do not need travel. The Central Campus sits on Hosur Road, inside the city. If you want to work near home instead, weigh the hostel and living cost first.
How do I get admission to this course?▾
Fill the online form on the Christ admission portal and pick M.Com and your campus. Christ then calls you for the entrance test, the skill assessment and the personal interview. The selection list comes within days, and you pay the admission fee to hold the seat. Miss that date and the seat goes to the next student.
What is the full fee for the course?▾
The full two-year fee is INR 2.56 Lakhs without a hostel room. With the cheapest room it comes to INR 3.75 Lakhs, and food is not part of that. Both totals sit in the fee block above, and the toggle there shows what a room adds each year.
Can I pay the fee in parts?▾
Yes, in a way. Christ takes the course fee once a year, not once for the whole course, so INR 1.32 Lakhs falls due before the first year. If you need smaller parts than that, write to the admission office before the year starts and ask what it allows.
Which scholarship can I get at Christ University?▾
Four schemes apply to this course. Christ gives financial assistance worth up to INR 1.24 Lakhs over the two years and a merit scholarship worth INR 24,800. The Karnataka post matric scheme adds INR 60,000 for SC and ST students, and the Central Sector Scheme adds INR 40,000. Use the calculator above with your category and income.
The college offers an efficient admission process, requiring completion within a week of selection notification. Applications start in mid-December, with interviews from January to May based on a cutoff percentage. The faculty is highly qualified with over 100 members holding PhDs, known for their dedication to student development. The M.Com program costs approximately 1.5 lakhs for two years, with the first year at 60,000 INR and the second year at 55,000 INR, plus a 5,000 INR admission fee.
Fees are payable in installments, primarily online, with scholarships and concessions available for eligible students. The university enjoys a strong placement record, with 60-70% of students securing jobs through campus initiatives, and a reported 90% placement rate. The placement process includes aptitude tests, group discussions, and interviews. Annual salary packages range from 4-10 lakh INR, and internships, which are mandatory, offer varying stipends. Scholarships are available for disabled, international, and low-income students, requiring 85% attendance and participation in academics and extracurriculars.
The fee structure is competitive compared to other private institutions, with flexible payment options.

SLCU Christ University is one of the best private Law colleges in India. SLCU Law ranking by IIRF is 16 out of 50 in India in 2024 and it was ranked #17 out of 70 by India Today in 2023.
I did my LLM in Intellectual Property and Trade Law from SLCU Christ University in 2018. I can say it is one of the top private universities to do LLM courses because of its education Quality, teaching methods, etc. SLCU offers decent placements with lucrative offers and high ROI. The Department has a seperate placement cells which guides and trains students for placements, how to face Group discussions for interviews, etc. Right from the final semester SLCU's active placement cells starts teaching students; how to sit for the interview, to talk and negotiate for high package, building an attractive CV, etc. The average CTC package when I completed my graduation at SLCU Christ University was between INR 4 - 7 LPA and for sure it is above INR 7 LPA these days. Luthra and Luthra, S&R Associates, Khaitan & Co., Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas and AZB & Partners are some top recruiters in SLCU for LLM graduates.
Is pursuing LLM at School of Law, Christ University expensive?

Pursuing a LLM course from SLCU Christ University Bangalore at a fees of INR 2.50 Lakhs is not expensive as per my perspective. For financially weaker students, SLCU Christ University Bangalore also provides Education Loan and many scholarships. I myself was one such user to get Scholarships from Christ University. Scholarships at SLCU are offered based on academic results of a student during LLM course. When compared to other colleges offering LLM and the Education Quality and facilities offered at Christ University, fees is reasonable.
Can I pursue LLB from Christ University without BBA or BA?
Rohan TiwariLLM from Christ University (2016 Batch)
No, you cannot pursue LLB from Christ University without BBA or BA. My name is Rohan Tiwari. I have completed an LLM from Christ University. This is the same question that I had before.
Christ University, Bangalore offers different law courses including integrated LLB and LLM. School of love Christ University does not offer a direct LLB course. Candidates wishing to pursue LLB course must have to complete 10 + 2 or any Bachelors Degree for minimum 3 years. One cannot opt LLB without any prior Bachelor's degree. But if anyone likes to do only LLB then they have to spend 1 year extra which means that if someone has intentionally or unintentionally completed a 3-years degree course like BA, BCom, BBA, etc. then one can pursue a 3 years LLB course. So I have done BA Hons from Pune University but due to the transfer of my father, we relocated to Bangalore and later on I got interested in Law studies so I opted for a 3-years LLB course at Christ University. I spent 6-years for BA and LLB courses. So according to my experience it is better to pursue integrated LLB courses with BBA / BA or BCom, etc.
Is School of Law, Christ University good for BA LLB?
Rohit KumarBBA LLB from Christ University (2019 Batch)
Yes, School of Law, Christ University is very good for BA LLB course. SLCU offers a 5-years integrated BA LLB program.
SLCU Christ University is ranked by various Ranking agencies like NIRF Ranking, India Today, etc. It is ranked #16 by IIRF Ranking 2023 for Law, #17 by India today and #12 by The Week 2023.
The law course at SLCU also provides Moot course facilities to allow students to gain practical knowledge.
As of my personal experience, SLCU Christ University also has only the best eligible candidates because admissions are offered through entrance based only which allow only limited and most eligible students to get the admission.
SLCU Christ University also offers lucrative decent placements with high ROI (Return of Investment).
The average placement package offered at SLCU Christ University ranges between INR 6 - 12 LPA. Bosch Limited, SBI Life Insurance, Karvy Group, etc. are some top recruiters in SLCU Christ University placements.

Do I need Work Experience to be selected by Christ University for an MBA?
Shahzad KhanMBA Human Resources Management from Christ University (2017 - 2019 Batch)
As a Christ University student, I would like to answer this question for you.
I have completed an MBA in Human Resources Management from Christ University in 2019. As per my knowledge, experience plays an important role in MBA admission into any top College/ University like Christ.
MBA Admissions at Christ University are entrance-based. Aspirants must qualify an MBA entrance and face GD PI rounds to get admission. For some MBA specializations and Executive MBA, one may also be asked for a minimum of 1-2 years of work experience in the relevant field.
After my bachelor's, I started working in a 4-star hotel and took a break from my studies. There I worked for 2 years and gained important knowledge and skills. I was given preference over other candidates because of my work experience.
This is how work experience plays a role in MBA admissions at Christ University.
