KIIT is a large engineering university with multiple schools. for BTech CSE specifically:
check kiit.ac.in for the exact seat matrix for the current admission year — the number of seats and specialization names are updated annually. KIIT is one of the larger private technical universities in eastern India with good placement infrastructure, particularly in IT/software.
Adamas University Kolkata offers a solid B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering with friendly faculty and a good internship pipeline, including opportunities with big names like IBM and Amazon. The campus life is vibrant, with plenty of activities and clubs, plus good hostel facilities. In contrast, KIIT’s B.Tech in Electronics & Computer Engineering has a strong reputation for placement, boasting a higher package potential and a good placement percentage, though specific details on campus life and faculty are less highlighted. Personally, I’d lean towards Adamas University if you’re passionate about software engineering and want a well-rounded campus experience, but if you prioritize placements and electronics, then KIIT might be the better choice for you.
College facilities and amenities vary widely—some provide laptops, others expect students to bring their own.
Common facilities:
Check official prospectus or contact the admission office for accurate facility details. Visit campus during admission season if possible.
When you compare JGEC to KIIT, there's really no contest. Just because a college is government-run doesn't automatically make it superior. The main perk of a government college like JGEC is bragging rights, but not much else.
College Facilities and Environment:
JGEC is a tier 3 government college with mediocre facilities and environment. KIIT, on the other hand, boasts top-notch infrastructure and one of the best campuses in India.
Location:
JGEC is located in a remote town with a lackluster cultural scene, while KIIT is in the heart of the vibrant city of Bhubaneswar. The location plays a big role in placements too, as recruiters aren't keen on traveling far for campus visits.
Placements:
Now, let's talk about placements. KIIT offers nearly 100% placement with over 200 companies, including big names like Amazon, Microsoft, and Adobe, visiting for recruitment every year. In contrast, JGEC mostly attracts service-based companies like TCS and Cognizant. Plus, KIIT was ranked number 1 among Private Deemed Universities in the ARIIA rankings 2020 and is considered tier 1 by NBA, UK.
So, if tuition fees aren't a problem for you, I'd say go for KIIT for a promising career ahead.

The faculty members are gentle and helpful as per my experience they will guide us throughout your journey. The exam system is transparent and marking scheme is genuine. Their are total 2 exams per semester.

The campus life was quite fun. There are many events which were organised in the college. One can also can be the exciting reward if they secured the rank and the best part was, there were also many society which was recognised on the national level

The Hostel first facility was also quite good. There are multiple options of three budget non-AC 3 x 2 x 2 bed, non-AC and the price, very according to you, and the food was also quite average as compared to the other Hostel.
