Ques. What should I choose? CSE from "KIIT University" or IT from "College of Engineering and Technology, Bhubaneswar"?
● Top Answer By Kunal Desai on 11 Jun 21
Ans.It is suggested you choose CSE at KIIT University. One of my friends studied there. According to him, there is no comparison between the branch of KIIT CSE and CET.
The companies visiting KIIT include major names such as Microsoft, Amazon, SAP, Dell, Intel, HP.
Placements are one of the things you must check before entering a university. KIIT offers good investments.
The entire academic and non-academic exposure at KIIT is far greater.
The faculty members are qualified from IITs and top NITs. They are skilled and cooperative.
CSE at KIIT University
Dell, HCL, Infosys, Capgemini, etc.
The program applies to CSE, except that in the first semester you have to study biology. KIIT develops practical applications for students as well as the theory of study.Read more
Ques. Which should I join, IT KIIT or CSE, at Amrita?
● Top Answer By Dheeraj Sen on 19 May 21
Ans.I will try to give a comprehensive comparison of KIIT IT and CSE at Amrita, based on the reviews I got from my friends at the institutes.
The placements here are very good as many top companies like Microsoft, Code Nation, Amazon, Directi, VMware have been visiting the campus during placements. You can easily get a job in any of these companies if you prepare well enough and stay confident during your interview.
The faculty here is very good but their teaching method is not much appreciated by the students. According to my friends, one teacher tried to change this environment by bringing some new ideas of teaching, but many students ended up bunking most of his classes.
The programming culture is not great and needs to be improvised. This is one of the disadvantages and due to this, students are facing difficulties in learning and improving their coding skills.
You will have lots of freedom in this college where you will get time to do many things on your own and learn about various other things rather than just academic stuff. This is one of the biggest advantages.
In KIIT, getting good grades is not a difficult task and even if you study seriously just a few days before your exams then also you can manage to score 9+ GPA. So, you can dedicate your whole semester to making projects and learning new skills.
I have heard good things about the institute.
Amrita definitely has a better programming culture as compared to KIIT. So, for coding, it’s a great option.
The peer group of the institute is also quite good.
Hence, KIIT is a very good college where you will get the freedom to explore new things and also continue your hobbies or extracurricular activities like dance, music, and many other things along with your studies. But at KIIT, you need to be self-motivated. Which will come naturally at Amrita, with competitive peers. Now, the choice is yours. Read more
Ques. Which B.Tech Branch is the best at KIIT Bhubhaneswar in terms of faculty and placements?
● Top Answer By Kriti Bose on 17 May 21
Ans.KIIT Bhubaneswar has excellent placements and faculties. It’s especially known for the CSE branch and its placements. All the engineering branches see good placements but CSE has a whole other level of placements at KIIT.
In terms of placements, CS is the most preferred. Many reputed companies visit the campus placements for recruiting CS students. Students of the CS branch have been performing well in replacements and academics, so definitely some of that credit goes to the faculty.
Pursuing ETC can be quite interesting too, but your grads may suffer in the 2nd year as the curriculum includes few tough core subjects like AEC, SD, etc. But if you study well, it can be managed. The faculties are good too. You have to make the most of it.
Branches like IT, Mech automobile are also good options. But based on the reviews that I got from my friends at the institute I will suggest CS if you are good at coding. You will have a good ROI, provided you study hard and master the skill needed.
Here’s a brief overview of the institute.
Total no of offers
If you work hard with proper time management, no matter which branch you are opting for you will have good placements.Read more
I choose this course because of placement and opportunities related to overall growth believe me this university gives you freedom if you are in any kind of extracurricular activities like sports, entrepreneur, drama and theatre anything which suits you and khelo India of 2019 is organized in our college so you can imagine the standard of sports equipment and facilities and now comes to academic except few professors all are average so you have to learn on your own but if you are from computer science then please be in touch with one of my favourite professor ( A.R Swain Sir - programming head of our college) and now comes to internship and job.. Here you will realise why you are spending soo much money in fee here in our college one of very reputed company high radius office is our campus for only KIIT students they hire approx 1500-2000 students for stipended bases internship 15000 per month in various domain and lots of good companies came in our college apart from the mass recruitment company

Course Curriculum Overview :
The mid-semester will start 1 and a half months later for freshers and it is not at all that difficult to pass. I choose this course because my rank in the entrance wasn't that good because I had typhoid at that point in time. I can assure you that the faculty which you will get is top nauch since we got the same. The student ratio is 80 students per class.
The faculty here at KIIT is amazing. All the teachers are highly qualified and they really help the students with all the problems. I chose CSE particularly because KIIT has the best labs and infrastructure for CSE. The placement is best in class here for this branch.
The term exams are mostly based on the core understanding of the subject rather than just memorizing stuff so if one has a good command over the subject and has understood the topics nicely, he/she will have no problem passing the exams.
Mechanical Engineering was my second preference. Faculty to student ratio less than 2:20 as per 20 students we get 2 mentors. Almost every faculty is a PhD. Per 4 months we have semesters and it's not very difficult to pass semester exams, just attend lectures and be attentive you will pass with more than good marks.
I had chosen this course because I had an utmost interest in this course. I also chose it because it expanded the areas in which I could work.
There are 30,000+ students and 2500 faculty and research members in 2021.
The faculty members are highly qualified. The faculty members hold degrees like B.Ed, M.tech, Phd. The teaching method is student-friendly.
There are two semesters in one year. Each semester has one mid-term exam and one end-semester exam. The difficulty level is moderate
The fee structure of the programme is INR 4.91 lacs for a year which covers the tuition fee. However, the students opting for hostel must pay separately. Moreover, the institute awards meritorious scholarships to the students who secure good marks in the entrance exams. Other than that, there are various scholarships and financial assistance offered to the needy and deserving students.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course concepts are well crafted and is extensively based on the latest trends, changing trends, and challenges in the IT field. Since i took up the B.Tech IT, the concepts were theoretically and practically taught by the faculty members who are highly qualified. They are supportive and interactive and take the classes in an interactive way. They use the nodern facilities available to ensure a good learning experience
Fee structure is around 2 lakh per semester, scholarship I don't know they are giving or not may be you can contact to college directly itself. In campus jobs be free because almost everyone will get the job here.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Curriculum is excellent and academic and faculties is excellent. Student to teacher ratio is like 1 faculty per 5 students. As here every subjects have almost around 7 to 8 faculties. So you can also choose from which faculty you want to learn or solve the doubts etc. Here the faculties are mostly they have done PhD.
As awesome as you can think. You will have girls all around in your department and awesome ones .. and placements if I talk about, companies come in bulk to hire. You will definitely get TCS WIPRO COGNIZANT. And if you develop some extra skills then DELLOITE like companies will be waiting for you. So no worries and take CS in KIIT with closed eyes.
All colleges are almost the same in terms of faculty.
Moreover, I am literally telling with my experience that it's you and only you who is there to teach you. You can definitely take help from faculty here as they are easily reachable but again I say firstly it's you who is your most important faculty. So try to be a good one for yourself.
I am in CSCE branch and it is one of the sub branches of CSE. The education is same in both only with a specialization in communication engineering is with the CE thing. Cse is the most sought course these days and one of my personal favourite which was the main reason for selecting this course.
The faculty to students ratio is very good. Every 60 to 70 students are assigned a student mentor for any queries and also for any academic doubts.
All the teachers are either from IITs or NIITs which can be seen from the official kiit website.
Kiit is very timely about the examination .Even in pandemic we are on schedule and regarding the difficult level , the college makes sure that no concept are left untouched
The teaching method in offline method was through white board and now in online method zoom and google meet are used with each subject divided credits wise across the entire weak to avoid extra load to the students and so that students get time for development of personal skills ..
The course curriculum fulfils the demands of the industry and is very much updated compared to other colleges.
The faculties over here are very much helpful and will help you in each and every step of your journey towards placement
