Students become eligible for placements after 6th semester i.e. in 7th semester. Major Companies visiting college are Microsoft, Amazon, Samsung, Honda R&D, ZS Associate, DE Shaw, L&T, OYO, Accolite, Accenture, Delloite, TCS and many more. No. of offers made last year was approx 500. The highest package offered was 43 lacs by Microsoft and the average package was 8.5 lacs. Percentage of a student getting placed is 77% for the whole college. In ECE, CSE these average packages and percentage of students placed are both high than normal. Also, there are many paid internships opportunities for 5th-semester students as well with stipends up to 1 lacs as well in companies like Adobe, Samsung, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs etc.
1st of all it is NIT. National Institute Of Technology an institute of National Importance. I got the Electronics and Communication branch here and placements are really good here in this branch. Admission is done on the basis of JEE MAINS exam rank. As soon as JEE Advanced rank is out counselling starts for both NIT's and IIT's. Counselling is done by JOSAA. Firstly choice filling is done. Then we have to report at the NIT whenever a seat is alloted to us in the process. Electronics branch here has very good placements. Big tech giants like Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, UHG visit campus for recruitment. Average package is 9 lacs. Infrastructure is very good. But the bad thing is the course curriculum is old and not up to industry requirements. Students learn their own skills required in the industry. The only reason I preferred this college is because of NIT tag and also overall college is good whether it is infrastructure, college life, faculty or placements. So I am happy with my college.
Placements are okay in our college. Students become eligible after the 4th semester for campus placement and they can do internships with good Stipend. There are some companies visited on our campus for placement like byjus, Reliance life, hdfc bank, etc. The highest package offered is 8 lac per annum and the average package offered is 4 lac per annum. 80-90% of students get placement on our campus. I will do a job after Doing MBA.
NIT Jalandhar has a culturally diverse student life. NIT Jalandhar offers the most affordable fee structure in the region thus leading to the best return on student investment. The bad Aspect of this college is the placement rate is quite low but overall college is good. NIT Jalandhar takes admission on the basis of CAT/MAT/CMAT score and also takes their own Entrance for admission in the MBA program. Then they release the cutoff list on the basis of that list they take GD/PI for the selection of students. I prefer this college because here faculty member is good and also for business Incubation center.
Yes, there are some college placements provided by the college. Starting with the third semester all the placement starts alongside the studies. There is every kind of companies that visit the company like Mahindra, tata group, Wipro, etc. Every year each company takes 1 to 3 students along with them. The highest company till now was 7lpa in the 2019 batch. But the average placement is 4.5lpa. Approximately all students get placed in the end. The placement of the last students get is not good packages. But they receive some amount of packages. I am thinking to go for a good company job for at least 2 years and then further going for a startup regarding food industries.
NITJ is a well-reputed college and ranked 61 in 2020 among the top colleges for engineering. NITJ has a good management system and teaching staff. Also, students get a good placement in the engineering department. The admission process included various entrance exams from CAT, CMAT, MAT. Also, it conducts a personal NITJ test through which some students of the vacant seats are allotted confirmed seats. The admission process starts in the month of March. The only reason for preferring this college is a good infrastructure, teaching staff, and placement. I compared different colleges on Collegeduniya.com as well as Nitj.ac.in a personal site. I also proffered quora questions about asking for the college.
Placements are the thing for which IIT/NIT is famous. We have lots of companies visiting us for every branch but CS/IT placement is on another level. Cs/It average is around 13.5 while for ECE it is 10.5 and around 7 for all other branches. There are ample opportunities for all students. If you work hard in your four years you will surely grab a high paying job irrespective of your branch. Around 80% of students get placement while this figure is 90% for CS/IT branches. The highest package is 43 lac by Microsoft. Students start appearing for interviews from the 7th semester. Some also get PPO through internships in the 6th semester.
I preferred this college because I was sure about my branch i.e IT and I didn't want to pursue other branches as I had no interest In them. This was the best college I was getting at my rank and general category. The admission process was pretty simple, we just needed to fill a form and upload our documents. I am currently studying online and haven't explored campus yet but I saw some videos and am very excited about campus life.
Placement is decent as it is NIT(institute of national importance) so placement can be a little better otherwise which have CSE and IT and ECE branch gets always very nice placement and offers like average 12-15 lac/anum and max can go upto 40 lac/anum but other branches there is so much competition and less packages
Admission process was so hectic. College is really good in the aspects of infrastructures and greenery but It is moderately far from the city which is a little con. Reason to join college is that it is the best government college in Punjab.
Good package and home quota, as home quota it was easily available to go to home, good placement as btech college, local college, nit reputation, nirf ranking top 100 in india in engineering colleges.
Placement is for which i can surely support my college blindly. Very good placement records and many big recruiters come to our college every year and there is around 75% placement record of our college with around 7 lakh p.a. cp
The top reason for choosing this college is the infrastructure and best in class facilities. Also I considered several factors like placements, ranking, location etc. The best thing about our college is it's college life. There are more than 10 highly active clubs and various other technical societies. Textile Technology is the oldest branch of our college with a very strong alumni base in the Industry and has 3rd highest placement record. All the faculty have PhD and are highly knowledgeable. The campus is completely ragging free and seniors are very friendly and always ready to help.
JEE Mains, NTA, 2018,score:171
It was alloted on the basis of jossa counselling. Admission depends upon jeemain rank, and then jossa counselling is conducted. Comparing it with other IITs/NITs it have less campus area, although it's NIRF ranking is improving and also there is gradual increase in package offered is observed.
According to placement head the average package for ca branch is 6 lakh and the dream package is 6.5 lakh, and for rest of the branches average package is 5 lakh and the dream package is 5.5 lakh. However the highest package till date is at around 39 lakh.
The college has a good rank in nirf rank. The college place near the railway station and a High way. The facility, teachers, hostels all of these are so good and make a college in mood of study and joy
The placement was ranking is good as compared to others college. The college has approx 15 lakhs average package for the cs branch and the highest is 30 lakh thats the great no.
Joint entrance examination main rank and also my family business is of textile field so I chose this also jee advanced not cracked besides only 1 IIT nd 1 NIT offers textile so to meet my requirements I choose this college
Actually I don't know about this but the average package is good nd placement percentage is also okay
