Place for mariners

Remarks:

The hostel rooms you get are way too small for even two of them to live comfortably. But they stuff in 3 students per room, Upon that they conjust your room with study tables, chairs, buckets(which do not fit under the bed) table mates, and they provided so. only to look good during inspections done by AICTE or DG shipping. Once upon a time Amet gave 100% placement to the students, however now the students getting placed from GME is very little. It is nothing wrong about the institute rather the entire field is not in a good position.

Remarks:

Comparitively good when compared to other existing maritime institutions and College, since we have the best masters to guide us through our course for three years. The negative aspect is that the seniors treat us like juniors onboard a ship it would be literally like army camps where you obey orders from seniors.

Admission:

I have pre booled my seat during 12th of schooling. I have a huge passion on sailing. Thats the main reason for choosing Amet. I will study 4 years of mechanical engineering and then i will do Gme for sailing.

Remarks:

There is actually no negative remarks against the university. The only problem is with food. They are providing good academic structure and all. All the laboratory and practicals are constructed in a highly professional manner.

Remarks:

The fees structure is very high. No much extracurricular activities provided. The college infrastructure is not that very good pf others. The good thing is that the college faculties are very helpful and active. They teach very good and they do anything for their students

What is the best way to get from Chennai Central to AMET University?

Academy of Maritime Education and Training is a private university academy recognized by the UGC and approved by the AICTE. The college is an AIU member and has been accredited grade ‘B’ by the NAAC. It is set up in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

Chennai Central is 10.1 kilometers away from AMET University. Given below are a few ways in which you can reach the institute from Chennai Central.

The best way to travel from Chennai Central to AMET University is via an auto/bus.
You can board a bus from Chennai Central to Parrys Bus Stand. From the Parrys Bus Stand, you can avail of Bus 109 which goes through Kanathur. It will take you 45 minutes to reach the AMET campus in this way.
You can also walk from Chennai Central to the Park Station and get on a local train to Thiruvanmyur. Getting down you have to walk a bit to the bus stop where you can avail the 109 bus. You can also share an auto till Kanathur.
Any bus starting with numbers 19/570 (e.g. 19G, 19C, 19H, 570C) can help you reach AMET. You can find any of these buses at any time during the day.
