One of my senior got placed in Couch Base for 34LPA CTC another got placed in Unilever for 42LPA but this was for CSE and related branches while few of my seniors got decent package from mechanical branch too 8-12L in companies like Mercedes a Euler ~ Anonymous, B.Tech
FFCS. A study who is facing difficulty to study more, can take less number of credits and it will reduce the burden of the students. And the student can also Complete the entire course in 4 years instead of 5years by taking maximum no of credits. ~ Supriya R Patil, B.Sc + M.Sc
Campus Life in Vit is simply magnificent. All types of facilities are provided inside the campus including sport complex and restaurants. The girls to boys ratio in Mechanical engineering is surprisinly high of about 1:7. ~ Mithilesh Angal, B.Tech

i dont hate my college it was great discission coming here
same thing i dont hate my college i love it
Placement Experience:
placements are also good here if you maintain your academics and all stuff the avg package is also about 10 lacs and which is very good thing of vit many great companies visit vit for placements purposes
I liked the infrastructure and the environment around the campus. It was beautiful and green and clean.
There are playgrounds and gardens and fountains.
The restaurants and also the big buildings and scenic views.
Dislikes
The Population is way more than a normal University.
The distance between buildings is long as you have to commute to next class within 10 minutes
The lack of assistance on given to the students who are trying to grasp the subjects.
Placement Experience:
You will be eligible for placements from your 6th Semester. The majority of Tech companies visit VIT and almost 95% percentage of placements will happen. Example line Google, Amazon, Siemens, IBM, Microsoft, PWC, Accenture, TCS, Mindtree, Cognizant, etc.
The things I disliked in VIT us you don't have that much good playground
We don't have proper library timings timings and food
Not to be dislike we have some miner defects
Placement Experience:
The placements in our college are okay computer comparative to our previous year because we have due to some recession problems the GPS been decrease from our last year batches so no it was not to bed it was okay we have an average GP of 7 lakh per annum
The sheer population of our college. Way too much.
The overpriced stuff they sell at stalls.
Course Curriculum Overview:
My course was mechanical. I'd recommend anyone interested in this course to not take one unless you're absolutely passionate. The job market currently favours more IT-affiliated courses so do not go for core mechanical only and learn some IT languages as a must.
Depending on your luck, you might get a great faculty or a sticker pain in the ass one who won't grant grades at all.
Depending on your course selection the student ratio will vary a lot. For example, mechanical and civil courses have an extremely lower female ratio while biotech courses have an extremely lower male ratio.
If you can get in touch with seniors, they can guide you with the proper faculty selection.
The difficulty of exams is usually above average while the correction of the paper depends on the faculty.
i found awesome friends in vellore , thats the best thing any one could find i guess
hang out spots in vit is the best , for the most part hangout spot for my friends is my room otherwise there are paces like pizza hut , foodies, enzo,or Bblock road
wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
Dislikes
fee structure is too high , you wont get the return of investment
quantity of placements are good but quality is not , i got placed in 5 different companies but the package is too low
the strict timings of hostels and and allowing the students for outing pisses me off , viit is too dawn serious about opposite genders holding hands in public , rules are too dawn strict
Placement Experience:
some of the students got placed in 3rd year it self, where as got placed in 4th year, some of the companies that visited are maruthi suzuki, mahindra, hero, mercedies , tata motors, mrf tyres, cisco and many other companies
The extra curricular in the college are one of the best in the country. The college really supports students participating in it
Dislikes
The college is really populated. There are more students in college than in that of vellore.
The hostel allotment is a mess. The main problem is that a lot of students do not get the rooms they want.
Placement Experience:
A student is eligible for placements from the 4th year. After the student enters their 4th year he/she has placement training and has to attend classes for this. These classes train the students to gain knowledge on what the industry expects and what they can improve in their cv. An average package for students is around 7 lpa and around 75 to 80 % of them get placed. I would be sitting for placements next year.
I like the way of teaching the topics by my professors and they teaching us on current topics what going outside world
Placement Experience:
From year 4th students were eligible for campus placements. 20+ companies visited 75% of students getting placed in my college. My plans after getting the degree to higher education in other countries.
I liked the whole infrastructure of college which is three hundred seventy acres
Placements are also very good compared to other private colleges
Faculties are high class and have very good knowledge about the subject
Dislikes
The strength is very huge almost four thousand students for only CSE
The intake is increasing every academic year
Sometimes college don't care your words and work according to their plan thas should be changed little bit
Placement Experience:
Students will be able to attend the placements from the seventh semester. Amazon Microsoft and many other techies visit VIT To recruit students. The highest package offered is one crore two lakhs per annum offered to two students by a company called Motorq. Nine hundred and four companies visited. Fourteen thousand three forty-five students got placed. average package is nine lakh and twenty-three thousand per annum. My plan is to job after degree.
accessibility, every small things for daily life can be found inside the campus so its really convinient
hostel life is pretty amazing so make sure you make a good set of friends
infrastructure is really good and also riviery is really fun place if you go with your friends
Dislikes
red tags are a major problem as they will snatch your id card if you are seen kissing your girl or even hugging them
Placement Experience:
placement of vit is really good. even at the times of recession, they are bringing up many companies in order to get theier students placed. Delloite, accenture, bank of america, pwc, ion are the main players in the campus and have hired 150 persons each companny.
Discipline in the hostels and brotherhood in the hostel
complete support from seniors and no ragging
full motivated environment and new things to explore
Dislikes
To much rules and protocols in moving arounds college
Placement opputunities are not as much as it is showed
Placement Experience:
Placments only depends on your cgpa and best skills. But due to recession, it is going down in graph.Companies from mncs to startups visit the campus. Placement percentage as claimed by college is 90% but the actual rate is below it, not much. From 4th year 1st semester you become eligible for placements and from 2nd year for internships.
